Saw and met bill burr my favorite comedian. Gambled and drank in their super neat old school wooded decor laced casino. Excellent venue and amazing accommodations. Saw a few great 80's concerts that were fun because of the smaller venue.

We chose this hotel for our 2 night stay in Deadwood. It's a great location overlooking the town and a short walk to restaurants and shops. The hotel is built on a hill which is very cool. You enter through the casino and go to elevators up to the hotel. The hotel itself is very beautiful, modern, clean. From the hotel lobby you take another elevator up to the rooms. Rooms were very nice and clean. The few negatives... Housekeeping never came so when we got back to our room it was as we had left... Read more

Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The battery in our smoke detector was dead and that little chirp was going off. We called the front desk and went down to the casino it was fixed by the time we got back. The restaurant the Grand Grill had pretty good food but the service was very poor. We waited around 45 minutes for our food and there was more empty tables than full tables in the restaurant. Breakfast the next day was the same way. Good accomidations poor service is the... We recently attended a family reunion and the chosen hotel was the Mountain Grand...The staff at the hotel from the valets to the desk to the restaurant were absolutely worth their weight in gold! The valets from the time they opened your door and you told them your name had it memorized. I am a fanatic about service and this was hands down some of the best down to earth truly invested in the guest staff I have encountered. The rooms are modest, comfortable and clean. We did have the suite w... Read more

The complex includes amenities found in 5 star resorts. The rooms are beautiful; the views of the city and surrounding mountains are second to none in the area. Casino, restaurants, shows, gift shop, spa, etc. WOW! I've had the good fortune to spend a few nights at this facility over the past couple of months. I'd recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

The hotel itself is in a great location and the facility itself is very nice and the 24 hour pool is great. The highlight was the dealers, the pit boss and Jesse and Julie who provided excellent service in the bar and restaurant. BUT....see below. My issues were with the front desk staff, housekeeping and the inconsistent pricing. BUYER BEWARE!!! We visited the hotel bar on a few occasions over our 5 night stay and not once were we charged the same amount for the same drinks. I am not re... Read more

When you hear "Grand Resort" and $450 per night, you expect something. The room was tiny, it's a maze to find anything, the fine dining restaurant would lose a competition with AppleBees, the Ore Cart is an exercise in patience-if you have an hour to kill to get a cup or coffee, then you're at the right spot. Poor check in really didn't give us any information about the hotel, the area, activities, restaurants, anything. We won't be back

We stayed for 4 nights on Memorial weekend 2016. We picked a room with a view which was nothing real spectacular for the money. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. They made the room up each day, but never added toilet paper, we finally had to ask for some one day -for fear of running out. This is a pet friendly hotel, which should be kept in mind if you have allergies, it was noticeable to my husband who does have allergies. There was also a $12.95 resort fee per night that se... The last time I was in Deadwood was about twenty five years ago and what is now the Deadwood Mountain Grand was a major component of the Homestake Mine. It's remarkable to see the transformation. Anyway, this is an attractive property. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was generally pleasant and friendly. The outstanding ambassador for the hotel is the valet Jerry. He had a wealth of information and eager to share it. A couple negatives though. One is just inherent in the design ... Read more

The NAJA Shrine has used the Lodge of Deadwood for many events. We find that working with them provides our group with so many of our needs, dinner, dancing, meetings, social houresponsibility, and meals. No complaints by me at the events that we have had there over multiple years. I would highly recommend this for any stay you may have.

We rally enjoyed our stay. Our room was booked for 2 beds and only had one but they took care of it right away. Great location right at the end of main street, beautiful rooms, full bar with friendly bartenders and updated, clean casino. Only negative was that the hotel restaurant was full of flies which was annoying. Great experience otherwise.

Nice place! Pool was small but well kept. Room was perfect but fitness center was small. A great location close to all of the downtown activities. You can walk to everywhere from your hotel. The rec center is only a block away! They allow visitors for only $4.00/ day ($2.00 for kids). They have a full sized pool and excellent cardio equipment, including a basketball court and racket ball court.

First the positives: Great location with good parking. Nice hotel, modern, pool, casino, away from majority of traffic. Easy to walk to main strip. The biggest negative was the housekeeping for us. We stayed 5 nights and one day there was no housekeeping at all (front desk said we must have had the tag on the door...we didn't). Mold in the shower that was never cleaned,. The room had a nice view and was central to downtown deadwood, but the desk staff were not helpful and actually rude. In addition to that, the room was one of the most expensive and most dirty. The floors had not been vacuumed, there were dog-food pellets on the rug and the bathroom floor was also dirty. By far the most expensive hotel on a recent road trip, at $270 for one night, the value just wasn't there. Room was comfortable enough, but the AC sounded just a little quieter than a 737 when it kicked in. Lobby is on the second floor, so two elevators necessary to get to your room. Staff was outstanding. Casino didn't have any slots that interested me - but, I'm not a big gambler. Accommodation was excellent and comfortable EXCEPT for the WiFi. Supposedly it is "High Speed", but I would suppose it would depend on what you're comparing that to--in this case, I would say a turtle.
