This hotel is great for smaller families and smaller groups. The rooms are not the best for families of 4 or more. The sleep quality is not the greatest. The bathrooms are small. The microwave is OLD, but still works. The internet quality was not good at all. I couldn't even connect to it and had to use my own data on all of our devices. The pool is decent but small. The breakfast is great when there isn't dozens of soccer kids at once. The overall experience was decent. The staff is knowledgabl... Read more

Hotel needs an upgrade but staff is friendly and helpful. I feel the price point for a Hampton of this age is not as high as they charge but this place always stays booked so I guess they can demand $150 a night

Mrs. Debra the General Manager was extremely professional. Jimmy the gentleman that managed at night was helpful and always displayed a smile, he has an awesome sense of humor. Both Jimmy and Debra showed genuine concern for their guest. Debra did not miss a morning greeting her guest with a smile and was always concerned about their stay. Mrs. Olivia and Linda were very nice ladies as well as ensuring breakfast was fresh and hot and the eating area was always nice and clean. Last, but not lea... Read more

I really enjoyed my stay here. This is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. My room was spacious and comfortable and the Jacuzzi was marvelous! I will stay here on my next trip to Sumter! I have only one small complaint, which is more of a personal preference than a complaint, but I like my mattress to be just a little softer, but other than that, I loved my stay!

The management and lobby staff did not listen to our needs and left me feeling unappreciated. Customer service and satisfaction was not the focus of the lobby staff. I am an avid Hilton user and wish that there were more Hilton options in Sumter.

This was a last minute choice hotel but I'm glad we selected it due to an event going on in town which EVERY hotel was booked we stayed one night for a family member funeral. They allowed us to check in early and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. The area is quiet and near to shopping and restaurants. A great stay will book again

Nice downtown and parks. We expected more monuments and descriptions of the extensive Revolutionary and Civil War history in the entire Sumter area. Must rely on your own knowledge if activities in the area in 1776 to 1779 and 1861 to 1865.

Rooms are very dark and not well maintained. AC units are very noisy and old, so old that the room I was staying in had rust on the bottom of the unit. Very poor breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly. Complete renovation is needed to make this Hotel acceptable for the price

Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Not much to look at so it doesn't matter which side of the building or which floor you stay on. Breakfast was a little slow getting replenished but overall was good. I would stay here again if in the area.

This is an older style Hampton Inn, and is situated off a very busy strip, however it was surprisingly quiet and very good. Our room was at the back of the hotel and there are no views to speak of, but it was quiet, comfortable, clean and spacious with a fridge and a microwave. It was also very reasonably priced. However, some of the fixtures and fittings are looking a bit tired, the microwave in our room was very old and certainly needs replacing. Breakfast was Ok but not as good as other Hampt... Read more

Clean, but for the price, I would stay at one of the newer hotels in town. The hotel is priced the same as the new hotels, and it is old and feels old. It wouldn't matter if the price was lower, but way pay the same rate when you can have newer?

Overpriced rooms. HVAC didn't work properly and shower faucet fell apart when turning on shower. No attention to Diamond member profile as my first room assigned was right across the hall from the elevators which is specifically noted in my profile as never to happen.

As always, bedding is comfortable, clean and restful. The room was on the small side, the lighting in the bathroom was practically nonexistent, and the carpet had dust towards the walls. I ended up using the hall light and closet mirror doors to apply makeup. However, the breakfast was top rate and I wish I had gotten the name of the lady taking care of it. The pre-arrival check-in and room selection made me more relaxed about my arrival time relative to room availability. When I checked in I was greeted by a warm and friendly smile and welcomed as an HHonors member. My wife and I stayed for the weekend, it was originally going to be for one night but we ended up staying a second night. The first night, the bathroom drains were very slow. The sink would fill up while brushing your teeth or doing anything and then take a few minutes to drain. It is often said that peopleā??s true character comes out in the midst of adversity. We stayed at the Hampton Inn during our evacuation from Hurricane Matthew. During our time there, the hotel manager, Debra, and her team of employees, truly shined. Due to a problem with the hotel we had reservations with, we found ourselves at the Hampton Inn Sumter one late evening. Even though this hotel was completely booked Minnie Sabb spent over an hour calling various hotels within a 75 mile radius to find us a place to stay.. She finally found us a room with a competitor. Because of her, if we are ever in the area we will book a room here.

We stayed one night for the holiday. It is renovated on the outside it. Is an older Hampton the room are clean and bathroom small. Only 1 person at a time. The worst is they are working on the 3rd floor so the noise starts at 8am even on the holiday weekend. The staff great very nice and the breakfast is a regular breakfast hot and cold food. This is not a fancy hotel it is clean which is important. Our only complaint. Was the noise no slewing in.
