Even though they were in the process of renovation, my room was comfortable and clean. They are pet friendly an my dog had a good night sleep as well. The free breakfast was very good and plenty of it. I was so pleased to find a hotel that allowed dogs. There is a fee of $25.00 for the dog. It would be nice if the fee were lower. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

We drove 14 hours and arrived a bit early. There was no early check in period. Our room right beside the elevator. It was very loud with fighting in the hall. When we reserved the room, we were not told the hotel was under construction. One morning we went to leave and found the hall filled with drywall dust. Breakfast was good, the clerk was spot on with that. We stayed for five days and didn't have daily room service, but asked for a few things as we needed them, such as clean towels. It alway... This hotel is undergoing a remodel and the room we were is supposedly had been remodeled. I am sorry, but, it was substandard for Holiday Inn Express. The door did not keep out noise. It had a large crack under the door and you could hear doors slamming all night. We had intended to stay 2 nights and enjoy Magnolia Gardens but could not stand to stay the second night. Not happy with the room. The front desk people were very nice and helpful in directions to Magnolia Gardens and they did... Read more

I stayed here for a Saturday night because the prices in Charleston were over $100 more. The room was clean, the service was not the most professional but generally friendly, and the breakfast was standard fare. This location was also convenient to Middleton Place and Magnolia Gardens. Overall, I would stay again.

I arrived and they were fully booked. After Delta airlines screwed up my flight from ATLANTA they had an opportunity to make it better, but they failed. The rooms ate OBVIOUSLY 20+ years old and they don't seem to know what rooms they have and don't have. It took me and the front desk 10 minutes to figure out that the day shift marked my key holder 106 (there is no room 106) when it should have been room 108..... once we had that established she jabbed the keys to me just to find out that di... Our room was very quite. The only hall way noise we heard was some kid running down the hall and falling into our door. Then we heard a dog bark. Not sure if the kid was chasing the dog or if the dog was in another room barking at the kid. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of covers and pillows. The rooms come with a decent sized refrigerator and microwave. They also had a free hot breakfast daily and had either scrambled eggs or cheese omelettes, bacon or sausage and turkey sausage pat... 1) Side door to parking lot was broken so that you couldn't get in OR OUT!! A fire safety hazard. The desk told me it would be repaired and upon my return that day it was NOT repaired. An egress door that would be needed in the event of fire should be repaired immediately, regardless of the expense or the day of the week it happens to be. I couldn't sleep comfortably knowing this door was not working. 2) Overpriced.....3) Breakfast meats were not cooked long enough.....rest of the breakfast choi... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel many times because of it's convenient location while visiting our grandchildren in Summerville. The hotel has been undergoing a major renovation over the last year and a half and is nearing completion, (hopefully)! The staff are unfailingly polite and helpful and the rooms are generally clean and comfortable, though not all have been upgraded yet. I have two suggestions. One is to replace the bed - skirts that are dirty and soiled. ( It always amazes me that when you... Read more

The staff are what makes this place ever: Pete, Mary, Leila, Vanessa, Candace, Christina. Leila extended herself in every way possible to make our Family Reunion event an success. Mary was the consummate host to me and the group, I have never experienced such service and kindness.

Hotel is located very conveniently to I 26 & beautiful Summerville. We stay here yearly & have been experiencing their renovations for way tooo long! Upon entering the hotel you immediately are hit with an odor of glue, paint or whatever. It's totally unacceptable and the hotel should compensate for it! They advertise "Renovation" rates...still quite expensive in my book. IF the prices continue to rise, we will be moving to another hotel next year. Our room was clean, beds comfortable & nic... Hotel was perfect for our stop, the staff was all very friendly.....it was quite a busy place the Friday night we stayed. They were just finishing some renovations it seems but once they are done the lobby/dining area will be beautiful. The rooms could have been a little nicer (bed was not quite as soft) but they were fine and we enjoyed our stay.

I think a renovation is happening. If u stay on the 1st floor, it smells like mildew. I suspect it has something to do with floods and too much humidity. The exercise room equipment probably was great 10 years ago. But the rooms were clean , and the staff was friendly. The pool is a tad small. Holiday corporate needs to pay more attention to this property

We only stayed for two nights but asked for more towel and two hrs later never received them. Had to get them myself. Also the message light wouldn't stop blinking was told they'd clear it and never did (it bothered me when I was sleeping). Also at pool never saw anyone restock towels through the day. The ice machine was broken and had to go to another floor to get ice was never offered to have it sent to our room. I know this isn't a top of the line hotel but customer service is customer s... We stayed there for two nights while visiting Charleston. Lobby and breakfast area was just renovated so it looks great. Room was also very nice. It was't the biggest room we have ever had but still very clean and modern. After a few minutes after check in they got us rollaway bed which we needed. Pool was also clean and surprisingly big. All in all very nice place to stay!

We just stayed one night. After looking at reviews for several properties in the area that were less expensive, I found this to be perhaps the least offensive. The other properties seemed to have problems with mold, neighborhoods(trains and heavy traffic) and questionable clientele. I was pleadesed to see a fresh, modern looking space when we walked through the door. But while they spent a lot of money on wall and floor coverings, the little details they overlooked were glaring(a broken tile... Read more

We spent 2 nights here to visit family. There was a computer issue for someone who made a reservation only, there are 2 people working the desk and one of them was just standing there. 30 minutes later we get to check in, I wasn't greeted as a priority club member. We went out the next day and after returning our room was half cleaned. Also the beds are like sleeping on rocks. Used coffee cup left on the table, bed was poorly made, and they left trash on the floor that fell out of the trash can.... Read more

I have stayed here quite a few times and really like the place. Beds are comfortable, price is right, breakfast is good. Nice pool and nice overall look in the common areas. Highly recommended hotel. Walking distance to gas station, Walmart, plenty of eat in restaurants.

It appears the hotel has been recently remodeled (and some finishing work is still be done)....but everything was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable but the bed linens didn't fit the bed properly and kept sliding off the corners of the bed. The Internet was okay (but kept dropping the connection frequently). We didn't make breakfast (over at 9:30 AM) so we can't report on that (just wish it was offered until 10 AM).

Stayed here over a weekend. I'm an IHG member and generally stay at those properties when able. In my opinion, this property is nowhere near the IHG standard. I'll start with the good: The lobby is new and looks pretty good. The room was pretty large, had a small fridge and a Keurig with some coffee. The front desk folks were friendly enough but I was never offered my points or welcome bag. The hotel is pet friendly, although a non-refundable $25 per night fee is a little excessive compared to... Came for a weekend. Previously lived in the Summerville area for a number of years, and in fact, the Country Inn and Suites next door to this property was my home away from home for a few months while relocating about 12 years ago! Having said that, for whatever reason, hotel rooms were scarce for this particular weekend and as a Holiday Inn Club (or IHG)a Rewards member we certainly tipped the scaled this way when finally finding somewhere to stay. We booked a king room because king rooms ... Read more

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the lobby area is so wonderfully decorated in very modern tones and accessories but once up in the room it's like two different places, such a let down. The room was so dated that we thought we'd stepped back in time a decade. The areas definitely do not gel. I hope there is a budget for a full room refurb because this is not the standard for a Holiday Inn anymore. All wood areas were either marked or chipped and the appliances were old. The room decor had... Read more
