Stayed here on vacation and given the other reviews thought it would be better. Very uncomfortable bed. No included breakfast. HD tv with non-HD service on most channels. First room had a broken AC unit. When moved to the 2nd room it didn't have a fridge and micirowave like the first room did. Extremely noisy housekeeping staff in the hallway early in the morning.

We booked three days to attend wedding. Night before my husband, had two falls resulting in our spending travel day at Drs who believe he might have had mini strokes. Dr ordered rest, still two more days of tests set as I write this. I cancelled so close that we were to have pd first nt despite not being able to go. First staff sd she could not waive but wd send to someone else. That lady said she was sorry for med emergency, wd pass to manager for decision. I had not asked them to waive the fee... Read more

Wonderfully located hotel that I certainly will stay at again and again. Spacious rooms with pillows (oh those soft pillows) and mattresses that will cure any insomniac. The outdoor pool suited everyone's needs and there is a laundry room right inside that area. The staff was friendly, helpful and wonderful. Thank you. The morning breakfast was a good start for the day. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is about a 10 minute drive, on 17, over the impressive Ravanel Bridge to downtown Cha... Read more

We stayed here instead of in a tent (at Hunting Island) during a tropical storm. Good move. So, we found this on hotwire and good a decent deal. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was fine. The biggest problem is that the 2nd floor smelled bad and had very old carpet (probably the source of the odor). Our room was good enough so we didn't ask to be moved. We did notice that the rooms on the first floor were very recently renovated, so maybe floor 2 will be nicer soon. Other than th... Read more

Holy Smokes! Way to loud! It didn't matter if it was late in the evening or during the day. There were constantly doors slamming. When I checked in, I didn't get a receipt. Normally the last night that we stay somewhere there is a receipt slipped under the door at night, that didn't happen either. I find that to be a poor practice. Location was pretty good. We were fairly close to Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Can't wait to go back but we won't be staying at this hotel.

Before continuing, I want to give KUDOS to Christian (he pronounced "Cris-chee-IN) who got us into our room early because we had to get ready for an early wedding event and 3:00 would have been very late! He was so so nice...such a sweet young man. I cannot thank him enough!!! Review: Went down to Charleston for 1 night for a wedding. This was one of the hotels they booked for guests. Since I have stayed in HI Expresses before, I decided to stay here. I love that they have queen beds instead o... Read more

There were several good things about this hotel, but they were off-set by some sub-standard HEI usual levels of quality. First-the good: 1. Wendy at the front desk, is a gem. 2. Location is great. Very close to downtown Charleston and near to great restaurants in Mount Pleasant. It's also close to the waterfront park under the Ravenel Bridge. You can easily walk there. 3. Pool is great-lots of fun for the kids. 4. The junior suites are nice-the extra space is worth the extra price. 5. ... Read more

We enjoyed our one night stay here in July. I like that the bed has different pillows to choose from, and there is a nice sized mini fridge in the room. We drove to Isle of Palms beach for the day and walked to the waterfront park from the hotel the next morning. The free breakfast offered a nice variety. We had to wait a few moments for someone to greet us at check-in in the afternoon, but the next morning, the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Stayed here about a year ago and were pleased so we tried again and got extra room for daughter, son in law and granddaughter! Great location for visiting family in Mt. Pleasant and access to downtown Charleston! Greeted and checked in with very pleasant front desk staff. I sat on bench while husband parked car and got to witness a young man working front desk function as good as any concierge I've ever seen to help guests with activities and "things to do" while in Historic Charleston! My wife and I recently stayed at this location as a part of our trip to Charleston! From the moment we arrived, we couldn't have been more pleased! The hotels location is excellent and is in walking distance to the beautiful riverfront park (go there for sunset, you won't be disappointed). The front desk staff was very friendly and the hotel was spotless! Breakfast was excellent each morning with lots of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Charleston area!

Holiday Inn never disappoints. Great stay, Wendy provided great service at front desk, allowed us to access our room a bit earlier then check in time. Highly enjoyed the saltwater pool that's on site.

Just across the bridge to downtown Charleston. Even though its right off Hwy. 17, it's difficult to get to. Seems expensive for a HIE but it was the weekend. Nice clean rooms and good breakfast. Friendly staff.

A clean room, pleasant & knowledgable staff, and the perfect location made our stay here a great one! A trip to Charleston from here is just a few turns out of the parking lot & over the bridge. It's close to a major boulevard but still seemed quiet. The continental breakfast was your typical HI Express breakfast but it had these awesome sweet muffins that I don't remember from other HI Express.
