"service I so POOR we went for visit On end of augst and we found that on third floor I asked for room first floor but they said oh sorry all rooms ful we stayed there for 4 night and 99% of the rooms on 1st and 2nd floor is empty plus recption guy was ther he was rod and not helpful at all and bad attitude
I DO NOT RECOMMENDET."

"I was originally supposed to book my hotel in Myrtle Beach, Sc for my birthday weekend. When I searched Myrtle Beach Hotels this was one of the first ones to pop up. I went ahead and booked it only to find out it was 20 miles away from Myrtle. The room was very small. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. The floors in the room had sand on it and the refrigerator did not work. It was WAY over priced. I will not recommend this place to anyone."

"The place is very old and was not maintained or cleaned very well. The cleanliness did not make me feel that my families health was in jeopardy. I must say that I booked at the last minute and did not do the kind of research that I usual do. I just want to spend some time at the beach and I accomplished that.

I would not book the lodge again, I did not understand that the Lodge and Inn were not configured similarly (my lack of research). I would consider the Inn because of the screened in private balcony and the fact that it is ocean facing.

Despite all my family did have a great time just hanging out on the beach.

"Arrived on a Sunday to a busy lobby of travelers waiting to check -in. Staff were friendly and efficient. WE had a Lodge room which had 2 double beds and a small bathroom. I thought the room to be too small for a family of 4. Please don't base your reservation on the pictures shown because you will be disappointed. This hotel is older and looks it for the most part . Because rooms are individually owned and decorated you take a chance of getting a room that has not been updated or cared for. Fortunately our room was and the only complaint was the rug, what you have read is true they feel yucky but it is at the beach with sand and wet feet so keep your flip flops close. That being said I felt like I got a good value for my dollar. I was on the beach which is wonderful ,clean and relaxing and the same for the pools.Free Breakfast included . The Cabana restaurant I thought was out of place for the menu and prices. I would never have left the property the whole vacation if they had an affordable restaurant with a better menu. If I came here again I would get the bigger room with kitchen and eat in."

"It was a very nice place. We stayed in a lodge room with an ocean view, which meant you could see the ocean over the parking lot next door. The floors in the room always felt damp but I believe that was due to the humidity of the area, not anything with the hotel/housekeeping. It was actually better than I expected for what we paid. Housekeeping was wonderful. We only ate at one of the two restaurants on site, the cabana, and found it very overpriced for the limited menu. We had planned to have a cheaper meal before splurging on seafood another day but it did not work out that way. Other than that, we were very pleased with the privacy of the beach and the area surrounding and will return again.

Cons: Overpriced restaurants, swamp/marsh areas on road leading to hotel so it smelled bad outside when the winds shifted"

"Unfortunately, the pictures on the website set my expectations pretty high. The room was extremely uninviting and had a 12 inch tv. We had to go buy candles to correct the smell in the room. I was uncomfortable placing my feet on the floor because of the appearance of the carpet. The front desk staff offered to move me to different room but each of the rooms were equally less desirable but in some cases cost more per night. I found out that each room is individually owned and the decor of each room is controlled by that owner. Seems like these owner are not concerned with the guest experience. I won't stay here again."
