"I stayed at the Arbor Trace Villas and the units were lovely but I did bring a few things to the staffs attention upon departure. Allbeit these units are individually owned and some owners do a better job with their units, some need to upgrade. My other families 3 units had great beds (high off the ground and comfy). Our owner HAS TO invest in a new bed for her unit. The bed sat so low to the ground we thought we were sleeping on a platform bed in the master bedroom. The bed was the worse part. They need to pay some attention to the refridge in this unit as it leaked so each day we came home to a little puddle in the floor. Note on the inside of the refridge said don't touch or attempt to adjust this refridge settings as leakage may occur (on a piece of duct tape). If we never bent down and looked up by the light we would have never saw the note, but we never touched the settings nonetheless and it still leaked. Cleaning folks left some things undone... just did it myself. Left a pile of recycle plastic bottle trash in our kitchen cubbards and we bagged and disposed of them. When we arrived to our room, the toilet seat was broken in 2 pieces and laying in the floor, cleaning crew had never reported it. Ironing board was broken in pieces and cleaning crew never reported it. I would recommend pillow cases for all the pillows in the unit instead of leaving them empty with none at all - distasteful. All TV's in our unit were big back old TV's - make an investment in your unit and upgrade please. All pots and pans are warped or the burners are warped and nothing sits level on the burners - make the investment in your stove or pots and pans. All bathroom water drains out really slow. Small changes need to be updated, but the units are really nice and family friendly."

"Absolutely the most wonderful place to stay at Myrtle Beach! Everyone is super friendly! Beautiful Resort with well-cared for buildings and grounds. Huge rooms and plenty of privacy. Loved having separate sleeping quarters and bathroom from the kids. I have never stayed at a resort and did not think to bring laundry detergent and dish-washer detergent, but a quick trip to the local discount store remedied that! It had all the comforts of home. My one and only complaint may be that the bed was a little hard for my liking...but hey, not everyone likes soft beds either! Most definately will be back!"

"We had a wonderful time in Myrtle. We stayed at the Barefoot Yacht Club and Resort (The Havens). We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath Villa. It was wonderful. Very clean and well kept. Keep in mind that were you check in at is different from where you are staying at (it's not far at all between the two). Very little kitchen pots and pans and we washed everything as the last guest didn't wash them very well. Keep in mind that the King bed is two beds pushed together which didn't both us at all. The free shuttle to the beach was awesome, it ran every hour which was wonderful; shuttle will also take you over to Barefoot Landing. You can also get discounted tickets which we did for Ripleys Aquarium. Location of Barefoot is right in the middle of it all! We will be booking with Barefoot again!"

"We have no complaints regarding the Resort itself. The room was very spacious with nice finishes (i.e., granite counters). It really had everything we needed.

What I will say is that check-in was a pain. The address for the hotel is where you think you would go to check in. Not so. There is a building in front of the 4 towers that you would think is where you would go for checking in. The signage even makes you think that. But there is a little piece of paper that gives another address (down highway 17) for checking in. It wasn't but a 5 minute drive, but still, there should be an address for the property management company where you need to go to check in."

"First of all let people know that your rooms are not ready until 5 pm after driving 11 hours the 2 hour wait was a little much. When we got to our room the girls were still there cleaning we tipped them out and said to leave every thing but the vacunming . I know that you do not clean the bed spreads every time but ours was what looked like blood stains we put it on the floor and used the blankets. On a up note the place was awesome we had a great time and plan on returning next summer We enjoyed being off the beatin path, and our suite was beautiful. pool was great and we found everything so easy to get to! WE had a wonderful time see you next year"

"we were highly disappointed in resort- it was misleading advertisement-larger pool and spa was no where colse-had to drive to everything. i requested sleeping for 6- what a joke that was, our king was nothing more than 2 twins pushed together, the other bedroom had 2 twins, which left the uncomfortable pull out couch- which was so uncomfortable that one adult just slept on the bug infested floor. on our second day, a strange man entered our resort to spray for bugs, this we did not appreciated- although desperatley needed to be done, just felt should of been taken care of days before we arrived. it was not decorated nicley- basic couch and chair and coffee table, dinning table chairs were badly stained and had cig burns in them, wall were dirty and needed to be painted, carpets- well lets just say we prefered to keep our shoes on. there was no sheets for beds and only supplied us with 6 towels- which met wash had to be constanly done, our unit was the only one that didnt have a screen in patio, so no sitting out there at night. Wifi password didnt work- we tried to spend a little time as possible there- staff was not helpful just got the runaround on who we needed to contact. owner of this unit should be embarred for the price we payed- they need to put some TLC into this unit- rivercrossing, or stop renting it"

"Just a bed bed room not a 2 bedroom suit and adjusting my booked room was more then dificult. Old coffee left in rooms pots. the Keys stop working frequently, one night leaving us locked out at 10pm with a screaming baby, NOT FUN. The place was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Nice view of the waterway. Pool was huge, I think to big for proper cleaning, saw feces in pool bottom. DVD players didnt work."

Condo but to our surprise ended up with a 4 bedroom that was very spacious and perfect for our needs. The condo was well decorated and in a beautiful location overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. However, unit 101 needs a little TLC. The walls need painting; the carpet needs spot cleaning; and the arm of one dining room chair was broken. EVERYONE we met was super nice and helpful! There are so many conveniences and activities near BYC that you never need to leave the Barefoot Landing area. We loved it."

"Once at, and in to the condo, we were awed by the nice roomy room and view from the deck. We normally don't unpack the suitcase for a two night stay anywhere, but it was like being at home. Lots of shelves in the spacious bathroom and a walk in closet for hanging clothes and putting shoes on a shelf, etc. The Intercoastal Waterway view was wonderful. Though it rained our last day, we bought a deck of cards and played on the balcony table all afternoon while admiring our view. It was like being in the middle of a picture. The pool was beautiful and clean. We kept saying 'we've got to bring the grands here!'. "

"We were very satisfied with our stay, besides the slight misunderstanding (on our part) of not reading the address to pick up the keys to the resort....all else went very well. Our 'house' was very nicely furnished and up to date, clean and in a great location to the smaller pool on property. Would def recommend to others and the price we paid was very good for a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the golf course."

We had our own private pool area just for our condo which was very quite and peaceful. The beach was a five minute drive away and everything is so close. "Condo unit owner needs to invest some of their profits in renovations..We found wallpaper peeling of walls,electric stove burner elements that are too big for the opening,patio furniture broken,screening needs to be replaced,and most troubling mold in the master bath. Stayed there 5 years ago and it was perfect,maybe it's just this units owner..We will never stay there again."

"the accommodations were great, but the add was misleading, we couldn't find the large pool that was on the ad. very little information on the resort. had to go down town for everything, . no daily service if you wanted clean linen or towels you had to do it yourself, or pay extra for a cleaning person to come to th resort."

"I had 3 villas and when we finally found them, each was excellent: beautiful, clean, roomy. We could not believe it for the cost per night. I can't wait to return, however, we had late night check-in and it was raining and very dark. We could not find guest registration nor a security guard to help. No one (guest) seems to have any answers. The voice messages don't help either. It would help if the voice messages would let you know that late night check-in is not on the main property and add more lighting. I was given the code, but not clear instructions as to where to pick up the keys. Other than for those reasons everything was great."

"Barefoot resort itself is very nice and great for cost. However, we stayed at one of the two bedroom villa needing to be upgraded. The furniture was very dirty, discoloured and very much in need toof replacement. The king size bed was two full size beds push together. The sofa bed was very old and the mattress was very very nasty.......The carpet was very dirty and we were afraid to even walk without shoes. Housekeeping did a poor job with clean keep and we tried to report the carpet and other things, we were directed back to our travel agency because that was how we got this place. We enjoyed the location but no one wants to stay in a place where touch and your family feel uncomfortable. we learned these villas are privately owed but they to be held accountable for them villa and its upkeep!!!!! I would return to barefoot resort itself but i would check out the place, first....."

"Our family has been to Myrtle beach many times. This is our first expereince inNorth Myrtle Beach. Even though we were told we were within 'walking distance' of the beach (& weren't), we thoutoughly enjoyed our stay. We wanted a quiet, comfortable place where our family could enjoy some quality family time. It was GREAT! We would consider returning...especially if there are any summer deals that are offered. Please keep us in mind! "

"My wife and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We checked in ok and the room was ok. However, the bottle of champange that was promised to be in the room was not there. After two contacts the day we checked in and the next day we still didn't get the champange. (finally got it when we checked out on Monday). Also, the remote for the tv did not have batteries.....got that the next day. And, worse of all for a true coffee lover......the coffee maker did not work the next morning when I tried to make coffee. Did manage to get a new coffee maker later in the day. Really not a happy camper. Funny how it works....I had a list of things to abide by or face the 'firing squad' but on the other end it didn't seem to get anyone's notice too much.

"First off I want to say that Barefoot Yacht Club can be a beautfiul way to go on vacation. What I did not realize is that all of the condo's and villia's are designed and set up by individual owners and you really need to request the proper size bedding you want. Although thanks to great staff with bookit.com and the managers over the Barefooot property a very unhappy situation was resolved for me and my guests.The next place they switched us to were FABULOUS.

Would I stay again, of course with my new found knowledge of asking for the correct bedding size and not go on the assumption that all owners are giving the correct bedding size to the office for rentals.

My next visit is coming up soon, it really is worth the price."

"Awesome Place! Took my family and had a wonderful time. Very nice for the price I paid when on sale! Only complaint is the villa we stayed in wasn`t exactly ``kid-friendly`` due to the tenant underneath. Either the floors are way too thin and echo sound, or the person was ridiculously whiny since they called the police 30 minutes into our stay! The kids were honestly well behaved, so I would like to believe that the floors are just thin. I`m hoping for future reference the incident was just a random mishap, because all in all, everything else was wonderful and I would definitely check the rates here first before booking anywhere else."
