I was very impressed with every aspect of this property from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Charleston. It is also very close to downtown Charleston.

Stayed here on April 16. Though recently renovated, I found a cockroach in the bathroom. I stayed in room 235, so, if insects are evident on the second floor, they must be worse at ground level. They need to fumigate.

Drove down for 1 night to see Amy Schumer Live, Staff were friendly but room left ALLOT to be desired. It's one of those rooms that look clean at first glance but then you see the dirt and grime along the walls etc that the hoover doesn't reach. The door was difficult to start as you had to to pull the handle taught then push UP for it to open. Beds quite hard, very limited TV channels, no hair dryer or iron. The piece de resistance were the mystery bugs (see photo) that were everywhere including... Read more

We stayed one night before heading out the next day on our cruise. The hotel is recently renovated. It appeared clean but there was a strong air freshener smell. I think it was trying to cover up smoking. We were able to leave our car and take an uber to the port. Our car was intact when we returned. Just know this isn't the Hilton and you will be fine.

Just a last minute place to stay on the road to a long week at MUSC. There's something about red roof inns that their rooms just have a weird smell. Although room was nice; first time I'd ever seen one with a business desk. It's off of one of the main highways at Ashley Phosphate so very many choices of things to eat.

Clean room that was updated -- had fridge and microwave, flat screen TV, tiny bathroom but was nice. LOUD guests and 15 motorcycles roared in around 5pm and the bikers partied late -- blasting music in parking lot. Hotel did quiet them down sometime last midnight. Friendly staff. No breakfast but there was coffee and tea. A lot of beer bottle and cigarette butts strewn about property, Pet stays free. Mixed bag.

Nice place for a couple of nights. We were closed to the highway to get to the historical district and airport. The hotel was old, but very clean. They were having some computer difficult during my stay so internet and cable were slow and sometimes unavailable, but it was beyond their control. Overall a good value.
