Arrived a little early, the staff was very cheerful, and text me when my room was ready. I was there Thursday - Saturday and the hotel was packed. I understand a few conventions and competition in town. The hotel is next door to the convention center, which is great, however parking may be hard to find.

If your looking for great accommodations with all the extras, Embassy Suites is for you. Close to many amenities. We were with a group of about 120 and there were several other conventions/meetings that weekend. The staff did not miss a beat. Food was good and rooms were great.

The hotel is so old and dated that everything is either broke or not working properly. Faucet in the bathroom lost the aerator so the water splashed everywhere whenever we turned on the knob. There wasn't temperature control knob in the fridge so we can't control the temperature. Whenever we need to change the temperature, we have to call maintenance. Still the old stained green carpet, pink tiles, green laminate countertop, and dated decorations. And the list goes on.... Manager's recepti... Read more

I was given a room with no working telephone or lights in the bedroom. Once I went downstairs to report the problem, someone was sent to correct the issue. I came back into the room to settle in and found an open condom pack underneath the edge of my bed and garbage throughout the room (slightly hidden) and hair on the shower walls. Totally disgusting!!!

Upon arrival the staff were very welcoming. Our room was larger than we expected with a seating area and separate bedroom. The other advantage was a separate bathroom to avoid disturbing anyone who may be sleeping. The room was clean and spacious. The room did not appear to be recently renovated but that would honestly be the only 'negative' about this stay. We had a premium room which entitled us to free snacks and drinks stocked in the room as well. We didn't realize this upon booking and... Read more

Enjoyed clean hotel with hospitable staff across from Tanger Outlet. Stay at hotel was for business; so didn't get opportunity to explore and enjoy hotel amenities as much as I would have liked. My group received a reasonably good rate. I am a Hilton Honors member and generally try to stay at Hilton Hotels. When affordable and I am footing the bill, I try to stay at Embassy Suites due to their excellent complimentary breakfasts, which includes great omlets. Ruth

We have stayed at the Charleston Airport Embassy Suites at least 5 times now while visiting my son and his family. The staff is extremely professional and courteous. Everyone there wants to make your stay the best one you will ever have. The rooms are always clean and fresh. The beds are extremely comfortable and we always get a good nights sleep. It is close to downtown and even if we want to take a cab, it is reasonable. They even have a free shuttle to take you into town if you want. ... Read more

The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. There are cracks around the base of the tub. This hotel fell short of my expectations with the Hilton brand hotels. The Hampton Inn rooms in this area are much nicer than this Embassy suites location. It was simply lacking finesse.

What redeems this property is the location and the staff! Both made the overnight stay well worth the above average cost. The staff (especially the bar and checkout staff.. Sorry onto remember any particular names) were very friendly and helpful. And the location was prime for shopping and dining. Hotel desperately needs modernized. For the $200 per night go elsewhere. Reception staff greatly lacking in customer service skills. Room had a horrible smell. TV, could not really watch any program due to the poor picture quality. Room cleanliness acceptable as was breakfast. No free Wifi unless you became an Hilton Honors member, otherwise would charge for. Wifi, really! Based on this experience I will not be staying in an Embassy Suite hotel again.

Stayed here several days on a business trip. First the positives - typical Embassy Suites with a made-to-order breakfast and evening happy hour. Front desk staff (all of the females) were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are what you'd expect from Embassy Suites, to include a small fridge and microwave. Plenty of parking, but I would guess it could become problematic if there is an event being held at the convention center. Several good restaurants and shopping (outlet mall, Walmart) either... This meets the expectations of a Hilton property. However, as a diamond member their rank amongst their embassy suites peers is middle of the road.
