My family and I stopped here at this place for a overnight stay after traveling all afternoon last week. We figured we would give this place a try, and we were definitely glad we did :) . Here are the pros and cons for this place :) : Cons: Absolutely nothing :) . All of us loved it here. Pros: 1. The check in, check out folks. The lady who worked at the front desk during check in was helpful and pleasant when we were checking in. 2. The room itself :) . My sister and I enjoyed the sofa b... Read more

We stay here once a year when our band performs at the Newberry Opera house and once again, we loved our visit. The front desk is always ready wecome you and the breakfast bar is clean and fresh. The location is right at the foot of downtown Newberry so you can walk to many shops and restaurants; as well as the Opera House right across the street!

The Hampton Inn Opera House, in Newberry, SC, is always such a clean hotel to stay at. Staff is helpful in solving problems and the breakfast in the morning is delicious! Elevators are quick to move and hotel rooms and carpet in hallway has been revamped...looks new and updated. Lots of great eating within walking distance of hotel. Very historic area of Newberry.

Clean updated rooms. Bathroom could be improved. Breakfast was cold and not very good. We were in town for a wedding and many other guest had a lot of problems with being over charged, the police were called several times to resolve the issue.

Nice hotel which is close to the main street in Newberry. They remodeled it but it still has a tinge of smoke smell. I was on the 4th floor which used to be for smoking. The breakfast buffet is good. I would recommend dining at the Flying Pie for lunch or dinner.

I am a regular Hampton Inn customer, and this one in Newberry is excellent. Location couldn't be better: walk a block or two to entertainment and a decent choice of local restaurants including an excellent Italian/pizza restaurant. Hotel staff and management are very good, as is the included breakfast service. Best choice in Newberry.

Newberry is a very small town and you can walk to everything from this hotel. It was recently renovated and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. There is an extra sink in the room which I thought was very convenient. The lobby is charming and the breakfast buffet had lovely fresh fruit. The only drawback was that on a very, very hot day, the pool was being repaired and we couldn't go for a cooling dip. Hopefully, that has been remedied. It is literally across the street from the opera house ... Read more

My husband and I stayed one night here on a trip through here from Florida and ultimately to NY. Very nicely done, with historical look outside and modern inside. Room was delightful. 2 things were wrong, however: one was that the bathtub did not have a bath mat to use or a rough surface applied to the tub for standing on. My husband felt it was dangerously slippery. I used it later and decided to throw a bath towel there: problem solved. The other was a very bad cable tv situation where the pic... Read more

Some kind of breakfast burrito and hash browns and the lady was not friendly at all. What a difference a day makes. Bad service Dirty Room The front desk was not helpfull at all. No one seems to care. The room was not clean at all. I spilled some water on the bathroom floor where no one walked and cleaned it up with a paper towel. The paper towel I used turned up black from the floor. This sure is not clean.
