Stayed in Villa II fifth floor with great oceanfront view, slider doors from Living room and Master Bedroom onto balcony. You could literally hear the waves crashing every night from our unit. Pool with hot tub directly below us and you could look out to see the other pools available. Not very crowded in mid May and had pick of lounge chairs. Easy walk out onto the beach and they had outdoor areas to wash off sandy feet and chairs. Great views either side of beach to Apache Pier where you c... Read more

The Seawatch Plantation is in good condition, comfortable and clean. If you are staying in an Owner's room, beware the Time Share presentation and sales staff. They will get you to sit through a presentation and try to sell you a time share. Apart from a nice breakfast buffet and pizza for lunch, there is nothing else at this property. There is a nice beach, many pools and a few lazy rivers but not much else. It's a good thing there are lots of things to do in Myrtle Beach for kids. Se... Read more

This is a kid-friendly resort. Wyndham always has fun activities for the kids and the resort amenities are great! Between the north and south towers I've counted 5 outdoor pools and 2 lazy river pools. I haven't counted the hot tubs but they are everywhere. There are several indoor heated pools. It was cool this morning and we stayed outside in the big pool because it was heated. There's also a tiki bar on the property. We are staying in a 2 bedroom condo and it's super nice. There's a b... When in our suite with the door to our balcony closed, I did feel like I was home. But even being on the third floor of Villa I, I felt uncomfortable sitting outside because there was a huge building across the way with hundred of balconies facing me and loud fountains splashing below and a rushing little river too. You might like that, but I prefer peace and quiet and privacy and a better view of the ocean waves. The amenities are not so good either. We couldn't even stay in the Pizza place ... Read more

Pros- very friendly and polite staff, spacious rooms, nice location, clean and well kept. Cons- very uncomfortable pillows lacked any type of structure to them. Cleaning staff didn't seem to do much other than make bed and take used towels and not replace with new ones. Had to call front desk for replacements twice. Which wasn't upsetting but more puzzling to say the least. Would definitely return, our family had a lot of fun

as always Wyndham SeaWatch you managed to ruin my check in experience today. What I have to go thru to get a parking pass is just uncalled for. I don't need member up dates sales meetings. I think if I was there last week I would be badgered about these worthless updates. the unit I am in I had to wipe down some things. Good through cleaning is not done. 90 degree joints at walls dirty, sprinkler head miss trim ring receptacle worn out barely holds a plug. this place is really getting run down. ... Read more

The accommodations were nice, but a little outdated. The views from our 2 bedroom condo were phenomenal! We were on the 14th floor. If you like being right on the ocean and able to listen to the waves from your unit this is the place for you. The staff were friendly and brought us items we ran out of when we asked. I read many reviews of this being such a high pressure sales place but pleasantly disagree. We have been enjoying peace and relaxation here! It is a nice condo that is a bit more suc... Read more

We stayed for a week. Maid service allegedly comes on Tuesday. After 2 calls down requesting the service Tuesday evening , someone came up to take out the old towels and give us a stack of new ones, which they placed on the bathroom floor. The bed linens weren't changed or even made. I had removed my pillowcases, anticipating new ones, which were taken, but no new ones placed. Had to call back down and request 2 pillow cases. The bathroom mirrors weren't wiped down. Just, here are some new t... Read more

We just got home from our 8th annual visit to the Sea Watch. As always the location sells it's self. We were disappointed that the four rooms that we booked were split between two buildings. The rooms were clean and we felt that we did get our moneys worth. The best food deal in all of Myrtle is the breakfast bar. For a little over $10 each you can eat a brunch fit for a king. We talk about Marvin all year long at our house and our vacation is not complete until we see him for breakfast.

I wasn't terribly impressed by this resort. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either...just meh. The pizzeria was seedy looking and oddly placed. We ended up ordering from a local Papa John's. The breakfast buffet was WONDERFUL! The resort had several pools that all seemed to be oddly close together. Missing was the lushness of trees, foliage, and landscaping that make a seaside resort nice...the layout and design was straight to the point, not luxurious by any means. The room decor was dated. ... Read more

Relaxed with he family and had an over all relaxing stay, but lots of little things added up to a mediocre experience. Lots of facility problems (running toilets, the family had other room problems) and problems with logistics during check in detracted from the stay. The staff was very friendly and cautious and tried to make the issues right but really shouldn't have experienced some of them to begin with.

We stayed in a 2 BR deluxe with an amazing view. There were some snafus at check in because housekeeping was running behind. The resort manager went out of her way to make it right for us. The room was spacious, but, as some have said, it has older furnishings. It seemed more soundproof than other Wyndhams I have stayed in. While outside fireworks were loud at times, I did not hear anything from neighbors at all. The place was mobbed at times, and some of the people staying there left trash l... Read more

Have been a Wyndham owner for several years and all resorts have been great. This one did not meet my expectation regarding a couple issues. After checking into our room there were no amenities. Understand this was the first day of new cleaning service but after advising the front desk, staff was fairly prompt in supplying these amenities. We were in the VIlla which was nice but only one elevator for the whole villa so "wait time" was extensive sometimes. Main issue - rental fees for two chai... Read more

Top notch! Our room wasn't ready at 4:00, so we got an upgrade to the penthouse. When we needed something, there were here just like that! Staff extremely friendly and helpful. They went over and above what they would do. Even the janitors thanked us for staying here.

I had 2 reservations and switched rooms. The first room the furnishings were a bit dated and the room set up was odd but the view from the large balcony was wonderful. We were on the 14th floor directly in the middle. The second room set up was more what I was used to with the room set up. The balcony was smaller but still a wonderful ocean view. I got all of my VIP benefits with no issues. People were very friendly across the resort.

We had not been to Myrtle Beach in many years and finally decided to make the trip. My wife booked on line and got a two bedroom apartment in the resort. She dealt with the actual owners of the unit and not the resort. When we arrived the resort looked very nice. Things at check in went great. Then they said guest services had to give us the parking pass. The guys at guest services kept us there for about 20 minutes trying to get us to sign up for some sort of presentation. We got to check in very early but our room was awful. Some rooms are privately owned and some are not. We reserved an ocean front 2 BR and it was tiny and very outdated. The furniture was very uncomfortable. We went to the front desk and got our room switched and then we felt like we were on vacation, able to relax after a hot day of beaching. This was around 2 grand a week, it better be nice. Other then that it was very nice and we would return.

We stayed at this timeshare resort. We don't own a timeshare but we rented through my vacation club. We were in a 2 bedroom in Villa 2. It was set back from the ocean but our room was between the other villas so we had a straight shot to see the ocean. I liked the pool in front of Villa 2. It was very quiet and a mix of sun and shade. There are a number of pools at the resort. Some are undercover which made it nice if you don't like being in the sun. The pool that had the dj was very crowded and... Read more

Based on the Seawatch website, I was very excited to stay at this property. Big let down. Rooms are dates and dirty. We complained enough about our first room that was straight from the 70's and were moved to a slightly better unit the next day. Seemed to be a common occurrence based on the snippets of conversation every time we passed the front desk. Breakfast and lunch is available on site but it's mediocre. My reservations were thru Barefoot Vacation Rentals. I reserved the Yacht Club but was switched by them to the Seawatch North Tower. (Im still not sure why). We've come to sea watch for as long as I can remember and both my parents are time share holders with Wyndham. We didn't book through the timeshare this year as the trip was last minute- but we still expected nice accommodations at $380/night. We didn't know that you get a lesser space if you're not a timeshare owner. First room, 805 in south tower was a blast from the past with the disgusting grass green carpet and totally outdated furnishings, old fake plants everywhere. So gross. Immediately ... Read more

So frustrating.. We come here to enjoy the pools with the kids but every year it is the same thing- the facility lets people put towels on lounge chairs first thing in the morning to stake out their spot for the day. Therefore when someone like me comes down at 9:30 am every morning with my kids there are no lounge chairs anywhere near the pools left!! Just a bunch of empty lounge chairs with towels holding spots for people till they get down here around 10:30/11 am. There are signs not to d... Read more

I was very hesitant in coming to this resort after all of the reviews that were posted. I can proudly say I'm glad I came!!! Everyone and everything was wonderful! My grandchildren had the best time! I got a 3 bedroom unit for my family and it was great. The decor was slightly dated but the space of the unit, the size of the beds, the size of the living room area plus the balcony view was great. There's plenty of outdoor pools there you can go to, including several sauna's. There's a lazy river there though we didn't get a chance to do that. Stayed for two nights in an ocean front room. Read the reviews and they sounded pretty good 8.8 out of 10. Wasn't quite impressed with our stay. We stayed in a privately owned unit, so I cannot speak about the individual units at the resort. Overall the resort was fine. The resort is actually a mix of two different companies-one timeshare and one hotel-like resort. They share only the grounds- pool, garage, etc. The resort is VERY crowded during high season. If you want more than one deck chair for your group, be sure to get outside early. The resort provided a DJ on the pool deck a couple times during our week-long stay which seemed po... Read more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, mid week. Accommodations were nice and clean. Amenities were good as well. Just as we expected, based on online pictures and information. I didn't cook in the kitchen at all, but it was not well stocked if I had wanted to. Note to self: bring kitchen equipment if the plan is to cook. Overall, I believe very nice for the price we paid. Loved our condo with ocean view. Our one complaint was how often we got knocked off the internet when trying to work virtual. Villa was due for remodeling but was not shabby, just dated. Plenty of pool towels and bathroom towels. Adequate supplied kitchen but silicon 'pot holders' are awkward to use.

All the employees, pool & beach were nice. There is not much of a beach at all during high tide. No chairs to rent & stay the day, we had to go buy some. They did provide nice beach towels. The condo in N. tower we stayed in smelled very musty although I give some grace there as hurricane Matthew had just went through over a week prior. October 2016 was our sixth visit to the Seawatch Plantation. We‚??ve been Farifield and then Wyndham owners since 2003. The resort consists of two towers at the beach and three villa buildings farther from the ocean. We have stayed in the villas and the towers. Most of the units offer a view of the ocean. Your room location, building and floor, will of course determine how grand your ocean view is. There is a balcony on the second floor of the north tower that all guests are welcome to use....
