"Enjoyed my stay, everything was convient and close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate at Marlin's for breakfast and it was very good. We stayed in a pet friendly room which really didn't have a good view of the ocean because it was on the first floor but glad I took my dog."

"I was very pleased with this hotel, it is an older one but has been upgraded. It is at the south end of Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. What is great about that is that the beach although public, it is more like a private beach because the majority of the folks on the beach are the hotels guests. Also we had a problem with the A/C, we called the front desk and had someone there to fix it in less than 15 minutes. We would highly recommend."

"Good resort for the price. Was more of out the way of the main boardwalk area, which is what we were looking for...but there were still a lot of kids running around. The rooms looked clean but it seemed like they only cleaned what was necessary to make the room look clean. There was like a layer of dust on the dresser and nightstand, they clearly don't vacuum while you are there, and the last night I spilled a little bit of a drink while pouring it into a cup and when I wiped it off the floor the towel was black. Also, they clean your rooms late in the day, then leave the bags of sheets and trash out in the hallways. So they were put out at about 3:00, we came back at 10 and everything was still there, then we left at 5am and the bags of sheets had been picked up but not the trash...so the trash sits in the hallway for how long?? That's super unacceptable, I've never seen that before! And the elevators were also gross. So good news, is you are on vacation and probably not in the room that much and when you are you are probably asleep and the beds were clean and nice. We were given free passes for breakfast at Marlin's since our room was not ready by check in time. The breakfast buffet was ok, I felt like I was back in my college cafeteria. Mostly everyone eating there seemed to have passes, we never went back it's not something I would pay for. There's too many good restaurants to be eating there. The barnacles bar was good for happy hour and a quick bite. The pier was also nice. We stopped in the arcade on a hot day to beat the heat and it was empty...not hard to see why, it was hotter in there then it was outside! We did not stay long. Even with all of this, I would stay there again..we really weren't in the room much. There was easy beach access and the location was an easy drive to anything you wanted to do without having to be in the middle of it."

"This was our first time in South Myrtle Beach, we usually stay in NMB, but I must say it was really nice. All the restaurants are in the area and you are close to lots of shopping, etc. The resort was great, planning to go back again. Best beds on the strip, so comfortable. They really take care of the grounds around the resort and it is definitely beautiful. Stayed in one of the hotel rooms, will try a 1 or 2 bedroom next visit. Enjoy!"

"Overall it was a pleasant experience. If I had to gripe I would say the refrigerator in the room was very loud and everytime someone else use the restroom on the floor it sounded as if they had just flushed the toilet in our room. Having said that we did have a great time. The linen was clean, the room was clean. We have great access to the beach and could see the beach from our balcony. Despite the fact that the hotel is on Ocean Blvd it at the 'quiet' end, which was very nice. I Would stay there again!"

"full size refrigerator, microwave, Beach access and pier are pluses to my stay at the resort. There was entertainment at the pier and the lawn since it was a July 4 holiday. We truly enjoyed the entertainment esp the guy (on eman band) at the pier.The front desk person was nice to let us check the rooms first so that we can have choice of rooms.

The elevator that we used was not airconditioned and cleanliness was suboptimal. We pointed it out to the lade that was making rounds so she asked the cleaning person to clean it.. When I was barefoot in the room, my feet became dirty so I had to make sure that we wore slippers/snadlas while in the eroom."

"Stayed at the cypress inn which was told had an ocean view,not hardly. We only had a short walk to the beach which wad great. The beach was fantastic,very clean,not crowded. We loved it. Short walk to several places to eat. The pier was nice,barnacles was not very impressive but for quick bite was ok. The room like I said was suppose to have had ocean vote but all we seen was a pool. Room was clean,bed was ok. Had problem with people above us making noise til 2 in morning,called front desk and they took care of it. Overall was a great trip for the money."
