"My stay was very good.The condo was very clean.I knew to fernish my own wash cloths and towles.The bathroom needed a step up for the shower because i fell out and broke my foot the first night there.The hotel itself was fair, lobby and elevators had a very bad oder it needed air freshner, parking deck was a disaster, but i would definitly stay there again."

"I can not really comment on this but we are from Ohio which prior to this scheduled trip was involved in a bad storm. We did not have any electric for many days and lost everything in our freezers/fridges. We had no phone service, could not call and cancle. I just don't think it's fair that a property would have such a policy that no refunds for no shows. Well i couldn't show up. If I am lucky to be able to make it to Myrtle Beach next time, I will not book from any place that wouldnt give a refund. I am out $1,065.xx. However I am sure this is a nice property. I have read alot of negative feedback though."

"We checked in on July 4th and stayed until July8th. The view from the balcony was great and the room was semi clean. That is about where the good ends. We discovered that there were no linens for the sofa sleeper. We finally got sheets for it on the 2nd day after finally putting a call into the Palmetto Vactions. The front desk was completely useless!! They would not even offer to let us leave a deposit for a blanket which never received our entire trip even from Palmetto Vacations. The parking garage was disaster itself. If you have any kind of larger vehicle you can just about forget parking it inside the parking garage. I am familar with parking in garages and this is the worst one I have ever seen. We were not aware that we would need to supply our own bath towels and wash cloths but found out very quickly that fact as well. It didn't take us until about the 2nd day to find the washers. We like the idea of staying in a condo and will do so on our next trip to the beach but it will not be this one!!!"

"We checked in July 2and stayed until the 6 2012. You get no Sands resort help because you are not booked with them.Fees for towels and cleaning and not to mention removal of your own trash. The beds are not queen they are full size.The kitchen was dirty and floors as well and there is no oven just stove top with two burns. The ice maker in fridge was broken with a note on it . There were no sheets or covers for pull out sofa. The front door wouldn't lock in the begining.On the outside balcony there was possible mold in which I called and went to Palmetto Vacation Rentals they said they send somone over but when we arrived back all that was left was a set of sheets no covers. Also Palmetto Vacation Rentals told me that my concerns needed to be taken up with who I booked with. I was told we would be able to use all services of resort including water park at Sand Dunes wre the rest of my family stayed."

"After driving for 14hrs , we arrived at the Palmetto Vacation Office (Which was hard to locate). Signed in and recieved some paper work that should have been mailed to me at home weeks earlier, so that we would have known how to prepare for our stay, such as what to bring etc. Went to Ocean Forest Plaza, which was extremely hard to unload our belongings, due to a horse trailer parked the wrong direction in the entryway. I was told to back up and off-load there. First the hassle of driving out of your way to get your keys and check in, then when we finally get up-stairs to our room we find two beach chairs that were ragged and torn and a hugh patio-style umbrella which was, not only a ton to lift out of our way, but the ribs were all bent up and out of the pockets. I had written ahead of time and told everyone that I was traveling with my 83 yr. old neighbor, who was unable to walk steps, let alone lug a chair and umbrella to the beach. When we had to use the restroom, there was no tolite paper. I had to call Palmetto Office to get a roll of tolite paper! 2 hrs later someone brought it over. I called the office on Wednesday to ask what to do with the linens, and they never returned my call. We had a beautiful apt, with a beautiful view of the ocean, for that I was extremely grateful. However, the electronics in the place were extremely complicated and hard to figure out, along with the lighting and fans etc. Someone should have came with us and explained how things worked etc.The pool area was clean, however there were no towels, and no one monitored the use of the hot-tub by children or the level of noise and antics in the pools, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the area's. The beach was quieter.There was an envelope in the room to tip the maid service, we never received any maid service! I paid $100 up front for a housekeeping fee, which in the paperwork they gave me, we were responsible to clean and empty trash cans etc. We even washed all the towels for them. All they had to do was put new linens in the room, hardly worth $100 and then ask for a tip...outrageous!
I travel to Myrtle Beach every year. but next year I will definitely be staying somewhere else!"
