The resort in theory is really great. But actually it is really starting to show wear and the indoor water park area was too cold. We visited in January and had really nice weather for a winter beach trip. But the pool and the air temperature in the pool area was too cold for us to really enjoy. Food and drinks at the bar/restaurant were fairly good. Room was OK. Everything needs to a refresh.

This is my second trip to Dunes Village. Many of the good things still exist. The waterparks are definitely family friendly for those with children. We stayed in the off season this time and the park was pretty much empty. I always book an oceanfront suite so of course the views are awesome. I can say however, that this will most likely be my last stay. The furniture and appliances are really starting to show some wear an tear. Scratches all over and the arms of the furniture are visibly dirty. ... Read more

We have stayed here multiple times and we don't plan on changing where we stay when we come to Myrtle Beach! The hotel staff is always friendly and welcomes us everytime we have stayed! I would definitely recommend the Dunes Village Resort to anyone planning a trip to Myrtle Beach!

Stayed with my family for 7 nights in a queen oceanfront queen suite with full kitchen. View was good but room was old, unclean(mold in bathroom caulking, fitted bedsheet incorrect size, rust marks on refrigerator exterior). I usually stay in chain hotels like Hampton inn, doubletree, Marriott and these rooms were not even close to that standard. Indoor water park was good. Will be looking for another property next time I visit myrtle beach.

We stayed in room 1235 in the Palms tower. We arrived late at night and you had to go up a flight of (dirty) stairs in the Palmetto tower to get to the front desk for check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We drove back to the Palms building and unloaded our kids and luggage and went up to the room. We had to park our truck in the parking garage across the street from the Palmetto building. The parking garage was extremely narrow. We had to park on one of the higher decks where there... The location of the hotel is excellent: The parking garage is across the street and has an entrance for hotel guests to access with room key or valet parking for $12. Check-in/out parking was ample enough at check-in/out times even though they claimed the hotel was booked solid. The oceanfront view rooms are priced very well for such close proximity to the beach and the balconies include chairs and a side table. The passages and hallways at this hotel are external. Be aware that you have ... Read more

Endless activities and games for the kids not to mention an indoor water park; perfect for a winter trip. Staff are friendly and the room was nice and roomy with plenty of amenities. Definite recommend this resort.

Excellent winter prices to make for a great winter getaway. Even in slow season they had daily activities for kids, plenty of indoor games like shuttleboard, ping pong and pool, as well as slides, lazy rivers, pools, kid play area and hot tubs. It's actually separated into two buildings, so the bigger slides and teen pools are in one building- I have 6 kid 10 and under so that one wasn't as interesting to us. The other building has a long lazy river and two slides that even my four year old did ... Read more
