"im not sure all these photos really are of the specific hotel but its decent....they have numerous pools which my kids loved.....the rooms were ok, nothing special, it had a fridge and a microwave and a coffee maker but they dont provide the coffee......not much to say about the hotel, i went woth my mom and three kids ages 14,11 and 4 and all of them enjoyed the hotel, the free breakfast, if you can book with that promo, was an added bonus......dont really have any complaints about the rooms or anything, just depends on what your looking for, if your just going to be in the room to rest then itll serve its purpose..its an older hotel so of course theres going to be little crack here and there but all in all had a good stay, would stay again"

"Totally enjoyed staying at the Compas Cove Resort. The room was clean and roomy for me and two teenage girls. Check in was quick. Stayed in ocean view, efficency kitchen pinnacle room. The view was beautiful! Got to room one day of stay and houskeeper had forgotten to put in washcloths. Called front desk to ask for some. Within minutes a lady was at the door with a tall stack of towels, hand towels, washcloths and floor mat. That was above and beyond! There was a lot to do at the hotel and steps onto the beach. Didn't try any food options there. Would definitely reccommend!"

"The staff was so rude, especially a girl at the front desk. Lack of comunication, but believe me these people do not care. They lie and treat you like crap with a smile. The rooms have rouches, no room service, no towels in the room or in the pool area. Lasers were everywhere and it was very annoying having a light on your face when trying to take a walk at night. NEVER NEVER again will I go and spent my money at The Compass Cove. I was thinking about buying a suite there, but decided to take my money elsewhere... I can go on and on!!!"

"The only positive aspect of the hotel were the pools. Customer service at check-in was very disappointing. When booking online, I requested that our rooms be side by side, but when we checked in, they told us there were none available.When I insisted that we have rooms side by side and arguing with them for awhile, they eventually were able to find us the rooms. The rooms themselves were not clean. The comforters looked dirty and the rooms were outdated."

"The resort was quite impressive...the pool areas were great and the kids (7 and 3) had such a fun time. The pool choices seemed endless so there was no crowding, not even on the two water slides. I opted for the relaxing lazy river...

The breakfast buffet was reasonable and the food was pretty good. The room left a little to be desired but all in all it was decent. The room had a private balcony and came equipped with a full size refrigerator, a microwave and a stove-top. The ocean view is breathtaking. The murphy bed (folds out of the wall) came in handy.

Being a seasoned traveler, I asked about parking arrangements ahead of time and was told that parking was free (always) and I was given the allotted one permit to park.

I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely consider going back there again and would recommend it to others."

"We just got home from a long weekend. There were four of us. My grown kids went down Friday morning. We arrived Friday night. Upon our arrival we were told that
we were only allowed ONE parking pass. We were told that TWO are issued IF staying in a condo. Parking was free from midnight til 9am. Rest of the time we had to pay to park. I would not have mind paying to park had I been told this up front.
Reservations were originally in my name. In order for my daughters to go early and to be able to check in without me I had to call hotel.
That is a long story but I ended up talking to someone at hotel twice. Both times I explained our situation that kids would be down that morning but we would not be down until Friday night. Neither time did customer service bother to tell me that we could only have ONE parking pass.
Other than this, Place was beautiful in a great location! I just think communication is the key to great customer service!"

"We liked the resort, its amenities and the location. The staff was very nice and friendly.

The hotel said since we made the reservation through a third party we were unable to get our final bill at check out (and still haven't received it) and we don't know whether the $100 was returned to our credit card or not. The hotel claimed they had to charge the $100 to our credit card since we went through an agency and then they credited the card, and now have to wait till our bank releases the $100 they didn't need. Why not just hold the # in case they needed it? When do I get the final bill?"

"Maid service not good. No soap in the room on arrival. Used linens left in the room after it was cleaned. Live roach found in the bathroom. Air conditioner was loud. Other than that, it was an okay place to stay."

"When we arrived the girl at the front desk was very rude and started off our vacation on the wrong foot. The resort itself was very nice but the housekeeping did not get our room cleaned until 2 or 3 everyday and one day ran out of towels and we did not get them until later that afternoon. I guess that first picture that was painted by the check in clerk stuck with us through out the stay and I reported her to the manager. But not sure that I would stay there again just because of the way we were treated at checkin."

"I stayed a 3 bedroom condo with my husband, 7 year old daughter, 4 year old son, 10 year old brother, 12 year old brother and 18 year old sister. Check in was painless. We had already read the fine print, so we knew to expect the $100.00 cash deposit. It was raining at check-in, so we were a little bit worried that it would rain for the rest of the time that we were there. We only stayed one night, but really wished we could have stayed longer. We were on the 6th floor, and our balcony was huge!! I have never seen a hotel balcony this big. We had an ocean front room, so we were right in front of the ocean. We ordered our food that evening to be picked up at the hotel resturaunt. We didn't realize when we ordered that the resturaunt was in the other building, so when my husband and brother went out to get it they were gone longer than to be expected. The food however tasted great, but was a little pricey. Of course, the fact that we were feeding 7 people probably had more to do with it. I took the kids down to the pool, and the indoor pool was nice and warm but a little crowded because of the rain. According to the sing there were no vacancies, so the hotel was packed. The outdoor pools were heated and less crowded, but it was still just a little bit too cold for my taste. Check out was painless, and we received our $100.00 cash deposit back at check out. That was an awesome surprise because we were thinking that we may have to wait to get it back in the mail. The kids all had a blast and made lasting memories. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer."

"We have just stayed for the second time here and this Resort is a great place to relax at. It rained all weekend and we ended up relaxing ALOT in our room. Beds sleep good, room is clean and the staff is very helpful. What more could you want??? Even the Car Garage is nice to park your vehicle under."

"I will start with the good..... The pools were nice and clean and my kids enjoyed them very much!
Now on to the disappointments........I had to call the front desk numerous times ( I think around 5 times) to get fresh linens and cleaning supplies for my room. I paid 567. and some change to stay two nights and I was not impressed enough to pay that much for two nights but compass cove said they weren't able to do anything to help me out bc I paid the agency and not the resort itself. Also I had four adults so we drove two separate cars and they would only give me one parking pass bc they said I did not have a two or three bedroom room, I did have a sweet that would sleep 8 people but yet could only get one parking pass and had to pay daily for our other car to be parked!"

"This hotel was nice, but it was very disappointing that you could hear everything through the walls. We were also surrounded by Teens on Saturday night of our stay. They ran up and down the halls and screamed at each other most of the night. At 3 AM they were fighting and slamming doors. There was no person over 18 years of age anywhere in site that I could find. The next morning I confirmed this as I waited at the elevator and 12 teens were leaving, with no adult anywhere around. I wish the hotel would be a little more scrutinizing to who they rent to. I realize it is the off season, but it ruined my stay. They were in at least 3 different rooms on my hall and bounded back and forth from 8 PM until 3 AM or after. No sleep was had by us, as beds are in the part of the suite closest to the outdoor halls. I did not ask for a refund, as I am the type of person who considers episodes like that a lesson learned. It is a nice property, just be aware that noise proofing is non-existent and they may not be very choosy who they rent a room to."

"We were suppose to have queen size beds and we got double size beds. The description also said a small refridgerator but it was full size. Over all a nice hotel. The only other problem we had was the shower curtain had mildew all over the bottom of it. The best thing i can say is the staff was very friendly. If we were paying full price during peek season I would have been very upset , but we would give them another try because of the staff alone."

"We were very happy with our stay in Myrtle Beach SC. We were only suppose to stay for two days but stayed for five due to bad weather. It was so nice and comfortable there .The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and assisted us with extending our dates at the same rate. We had a partial view of the ocean which was very nice. We had breakfast at the restaurant there which was lovely and everything fresh. There was so much to do there I was surprised so our stay was very good.
However my only complain was that the television does not have a guide so you had to go through all the channels to find something to watch."

"I was tempted to write a terrible review because my wife and I want Compass Cove all to ourselves. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience.
The staff was incredible. Starting with the lady who accepted our reservations on the phone and helped us get the best rate to the front desk and maintenance people, every one was friendly and so helpful. We wanted to be able to sleep late and usually a 'Do Not Disturb' sign means there will be no cleaning that day, but that was not the case here. We didn't leave the room most days until after noon, but when we came back the room was spotless.
The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The mini kitchen with full size appliances was wonderful.
The pools, hot tubs, and lazy river were incredible, very accessible, clean, and well maintained.
The beach area was beautiful and easy to get to and from.
I can imagine that during the summer this place is probably packed. However, we were able to go during a time of year that crowds were not a problem.
We can't wait to go back. Next time, we might even take our kids.......NOT!"

"This was a wonderful place! It was affordable, accessible, friendly. We had 5 people at the Pinnacle. The kitchen was just right for a small breakfast and lunch in everyday! (We went out to eat dinner, it would be tight to cook a large meal for many, but doable). There were 3 places to eat on site, perfect pools for kids only. They even provided free shuttle from Airport and were ON TIME!!!! My 3 year old LOVED the water slide and submarine area. It is right on the beach. The room is not super modern, but it was super clean. Super layout, and perfect for a long weekend for 5 people or a full week fora small family just using the bed room and not the pull out couch and pull down bed. It was tight with 1 bathroom for 4 adults and 1 child, but it was totally doable. It was a GREAT price. Not state of the art modern rooms, but I went for the convenience, friendliness, affordable, and amenities. These were 5 star all the way!!"

"This hotel has a great value for the overall experience. Although the rooms were not fancy, the oceanfront efficiency room that I stayed in had a terrific view and was clean. The resort offered plenty to do (waterslides, dining, drinks, pools, lazy rivers, etc). Best of all, there were NO EXTRA HIDDDEN FEES for anything.If I had to find short comings for this hotel it would be lack of ammentites such as coffee for the coffee maker in the room. Loved it and would return!"
