"If you enjoy sitting out on your balcony and shouting as loud as you can until 2 in the morning, then this is the place for you. Perhaps the low February rates attract a clientel that lack basic manners. I should have known that paying 'low rent' would result in a low rent experience, and it was exactly that. Our Ocean Front King room had an obstructed view of the ocean. What we had the best view of were all the balconies of the adjacent building. There was not much privacy."

"Although service was very good, th rooms and the view left much to be desired. Rooms could do with major sprusing up. Pools howevr are kept clean and every employee we met was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place to sleep then this will work."

"The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was outdated and small. Everything was clean. The pool and hot tubs were clean and perfect temp. My only complaint was the bowling alley charging for shoe rental and game play for guests, I was under the impression it was included. Also, it closes at 11pm and at 10:35 we were told we could not play another game."

"the captains quarters was very convenient to alot of restaurants,and downtown where all the action is.
I was surprised at the ok cleanliness of the room. The view was amazing and my kids loved the heated pools:)

"This was our 31st wedding anniversary get-away. The staff and accomodations were great. Our room had a kitchen and a great view of the ocean. We were there during the week and did not have a buffet but were able to order from the menue for breakfast. The food was very good. There was plenty of parking."

"We had great time and lots of fun. Our stay at the Captains Quarters was excellent. Rooms were fine and the amenities were great. We love the bowling alleys and wishing we could have more time."

"Overall it was a good place to stay. The free breakfast was good except for the way overdone eggs! Their own bowling alley, wow, if they replaced the way wornout lanes!!! Everyone was friendly and helpful."

"Captian's Quarters was a wonderful place for my wife and I for the 5 days we were in Myrtle Beach. Room was comfortable, beds were firm, breakfast each morning was good, staff were very helpful and the facilities were in good shape. The central location was helpful and the beach and pools, hot tubs were great.

Would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"The beds were a little hard but the murphy bed was fine. The bedroom had an odd oder but if you kept the room cooler you couldn't smell it as much.Overall it was fine for the price."

"This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very attentive and they had lots of fun things to do. We stayed in three different rooms during our stay: an efficiency, king suite, and 'old building' efficiency. The king suite was definitely the best but lacked the kitchen of the efficiencies. I can see why some reviewers advise to be careful about room selection as the efficiencies are a bit worn. If you are not happy with your room, one trip down to the desk and they will happily move you to a different room if it's available. The hotel had lots of great family friendly activities. The breakfast buffet was nice and a good value, but I didn't receive any service from the wait staff. It's my fault though - I should've spoken up!
