"The room was clean. The staff friendly and helpfull. Do plan to come back again next summer. Only next year I think we will do family reunion there. Could not do better for the price. Loved the guest pass. It made a world of difference. Because of it I had money to do other things I had wanted to do, like get a old western family photo made. The ocean was to ruff to go in much but that is not the hotel's fault. Had a great time. This was the first major trip since going through cancer treatment and made a great trip for me and the grandchildren. We were able to build some fantastic memories to replace the ones of grandma being sick. Thank you."

"This hotel was great! We found no problems with our stay. The staff were very friendly, the room was very well kept and clean. At first I was kind of unsure about the hotel because of all the bad reviews but I'm glad we chose to give it a try. It's close to a lot of resturants and stores and the view of the ocean from the hotel was amazing! We will definitly be staying here again."

"The hotel was in a nice location that was close to walmart and the peer. The rooms were nice except the carpet was stained. The toaster was broke but they replaced it immediately. The trash cans beside the elevator were not emptyied for 2 days. I noticed little things that could show improvement. Overall cleaniness could improve. But I would stay there again and loved the location. The set up of the parking garage was very handy to the room.

The two resturants listed in the hotel booklet were awful. I did not eat at either place the food was delivered to the room."

"Very disappointed the rooms were terrible...Torn sheets with gum stuck to the comforters ...mold in the fridge carpet was torn and dirty the glass sliding door was dirty with fingerprints and salt water room smelled dirty! DO NOT STAY HERE This was my bachelorette party with 9 girls and I paid over 1500.00 to get this nasty room for us I felt terrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUINED"

"The location of the hotel was great and so was the oceanfront view. The walls in the room are paper thin and you can literally hear everything that goes on. Out of 6 nights that we stayed only 1 night were we not woke by drunk teenagers or by a fight. Two different nights we had to call the front desk to take care of the situation. Definitely not a hotel to take your family to if you want a family atmosphere. Would never recommend this to anyone unless they were strictly looking for a place to party."

"The hotel was very nice on the outside and in the common areas, like the pool and beach. Our room was a little on the worn side and desparately needed soundproofing on the outside wall. We could hear absolutely everything outside which was not pleasant the week after all the high school seniors graduated. Lots of underage drinking. Sofa bed was horrible. 1 bedroom suite is not nearly as large as it looks in the picures. No counter space in the kitchenette.The staff was very courteous and provided great service. We were very pleasantly surprised, given how tough their jobs were with all the craziness."

"The Camelot by the Sea was a lovely place for my family to be introduced to the Atlantic seaboard. Amazing view and access to the beach. Clean facility with wonderful staff. However, we were surprised by driving in to the middle of 'Biker Week' on Memorial Day weekend. This was definitely not a family environment. It would have been nice to have known in advance that this event was going on. Thankfully it was over after our first nite at the Camelot. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Picked up the reservation online and very easy. Not a bad price for two weekend nights, ocean front, plenty of room for my buddies and I to feel at home. Great view, friendly staff, great location to golf, beach, broadway for partying, and good restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend anyone headed down with a family or golfing buddies check out this place for your hotel."

"The room was ok. I was not pleased about my 3 year old finding a beer can up under the bed that still had beer in it, and also an open beer can on the deck outside! Obviously the room was not inspected fully after it was cleaned. Other than that the room was ok. The hotel is dated, the parking deck is very tight so if you have a large SUV or van beware. I also prefer a hotel with inside rooms, these rooms were outside rooms the doors facing N. Ocean Blvd and you can hear the cars and people hanging out at night.The decks provided a nice oceanfront view. Basically, I wouldn't stay there again."

"It was my first family trip to Myrtle Beach. The Resort was very nice. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The staff was not very friendly or accomodating. The couch was stained and the blanket we received was stained and tore up. I called and requested new blankets and they did not come until the day before we left. I called the night before as it stated on the courtesy form to extend my check out time and was told to call back in the morning. I called back and was told their was no availability. I asked about staying an additional night and they wanted to charge me 200 more dollars. Overall the stay was ok and the view is what saved the day. I think I would choose a different location next time."

"My husband and I stayed here 2 years ago and were extremely satisfied with our stay then. We went back in July 2012 and it was alot different. The first room they put us in, the carpet was stained horribly and the couch/chairs were stained and had holes in them. This was unacceptable to me. I called the front desk, they gave us another room. My 14 month old would crawl on the floor in the room and her hands/feet were filthy. We will not be back at this hotel. We were very dissatisfied about the cleanliness of the rooms. The staff is very friendly/helpful but the rooms need to be updated and carpet/furniture replaced. We stayed 4 nights and spent 1500.00 there. I definately did not get my money's worth."

"Appliances need a little updating ....fridge was rusted; They also need to have their pools cleaned earlier because there were some kids at the pool around 10-11 AM and they have to get out because the pool crew arrived and started cleaning. Overall this is a good hotel to stay because of its location,value & parking convenience. This was my second time using this hotel and I'll probably stay there again."

"loved the view from the deck, but the room could of been cleaner the drain in kitchen would not drain well,we didnt need our room cleaned on our 1st day there but we did need towls call the desk 3 times never got them. the housekeeper cleand the 3rd day and she gave us towels but no washcloths was to return them but never got them. the couch was stained. stayed at another motel in oct. was much better and cleaner and not much more. This motel was closer to everything but my husband and i can't walk around that much.Liked the ideal of the parking did;t have to walk far to the room.dont think i would stay there again."

"The hotel location was perfect. It was on the beach you could see dolphins, abundant amount of restaurants nearby, 1 block to the bus stop, 3 blocks to the convention center, and in walking distance to the boardwalk. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, plates, can opener etc. The dollar store was 2 blocks and the supermarket piggly wiggly was a few blocks over so you really did not have to eat out because there was a stove, microwave and refrigerator. There was a lot of storage space and plenty of hangers. There were 2 flat screen tvs and a dvd player. The only thing is that most of the dvds they gave us did not work. Several pools both inside and outside and a lazy river and 2 hot tubs. Small gym was adequate. Downside was one of the maids was not good at her job other than that it was great."

"My family and I had a great time at Camelot by the Sea. The location was very convenient. We had a great view of the beach. The staff members were wonderful.
On the other hand, the decor wasn't what I expected, but the view of the beach made everything easy to overlook."
