"I was very disappointed when I arrived at the Villas across the street from the main building. Although the room had a nonsmoking sign on the door, it was infiltrated with cigarette smoke. I had to purchase odor eliminator spray just to tone the odor down. The tile floors in the room were filthy. The large rug in the center of the room was filthy dirty. Our sleep was disturbed each night from noise above us. There were also a few roaches in the room. After complaining to the hotel front desk staff and housekeeper, we were told someone would come to spray. It never happened. After complaining about the noise to hotel staff, the guest continued with noise. My 3 day stay, was terrible. The hotel could not offer us another room due to lack of a vacancy. This facility is far below 3 stars, no greater than 1 star."

"Outside was decent and friendly staff but when checking into our room we found food stuck to the sink, scum left on shower handles, the bathroom was terribly dirty and the moment we sat on the bed, it squeaked . Called down to front desk and they were booked up for the night so they couldn't move us but offered for house keeping to come up. I agreed and we went out for dinner. Came back 7hrs later and they hadn't came so I called back down but hk had already left for the night. When we woke up, we went down for breakfast and I stopped by the front and they said they would send hk up right away.. We ate, we walked around, and betime we came back up they still hadn't came so we left to go to beach. Several hrs later still no one one came up... So I called back down. They told me they were able to give me another room that will be ready in 30 minutes and asked if I still wanted hk or to wait till they switched us rooms. I told them we can wait. I got un dressed and was laying around listening to music and all of a sudden hk walks right on in without knocking seeing me fully nude. 1.5 he's later they finally got us in to one of their 'suites' bathroom smelled of Sewer water and no cold water came out of the bathroom sick. Other then that room was ok and I wasn't in the mood to complain any more so we stuck it out for the night. I will not return to this hotel and I do not advise you to either... Trust this review! "

"we enjoyed our stay at the bluewater resort yes the floor was a little dirty but thats to be expected your at a beach were sand/dirt are in out room was very nice bigger then what we expected staff was very friendly escpically the lady checking us in we got lost twice so if you do book be sure to go past the boardwalk further south there are two 20 south aves gps on the iphone was bad but this was also my first time down in myrtle beach but had a great time"

"I was told that this resort was right on the beach however was placed in a villa on the other side of the street. tub was clogged with hair, we stay at second floor peoples from third floor keep as awake still 4:30 am. my non-smoking room was smoked. We would give this resort a overall two stars."

"This place needs some updating in the sleeping area of the room. The living room area was very nice. The bedroom was very depressing! The carpet was stained and very old. Overall the place was nice and clean but just needs some updating."
