"Our first family vacation to the beach. The only pool is indoors and it is perfect for young children; mine are six and two, they had a great time. We had an oceanfront room which was very clean and maintained. They have three elevators that are quick, but sometimes you have too wait, not that big of a deal. The parking garage is secure for guests only, must have room key to get in. It is directly across the street and you have to walk between two hotels to get to it. Once again not that bad to keep your car safe. The access to the beach is perfect, and within walking distance to the boardwalk and two piers. Overall it was a good place to stay for the money.
The only complaints I have is the Wi-Fi is horrible. I had to sit in the hallway close to the elevator to even get a signal; also the first room we stayed in was soooo hot(75*) because it feed off the adjoining hotel room. All the rooms are set up this way, we set our thermastat at 69 and the adjoining room set theirs at 75!? So at some points during the night and day our room would pump out heat. It was horrible to want to cool off and couldn't in your hotel room. The second shift night manager was very helpful and switched us rooms and called a few times the next day to make sure everything was going better. I guess hope you get a room that is adjoining people that like it cold! But after the second shift manager moved us rooms, all went good and it was a good trip. I would not recommend to a friend if they need wi-fi."

Sad that there was no outdoor pool but loved the lounge chairs on the lawn. Loved the security with the parking and entering the hotel. Great water area for kids! "A good value, but you get what you pay for. The general feel to me was dirty, all though it got better as the staff cleaned. A lot of stuff did not work, e.g. exercise room equipment, DVD player, Hot tub (some of the time), Elevator (some of the time). Next time i will pay a little more some where else. "We would definitely recommend this hotel. We had the 1-BR OF condo, and it was absolutely great, with only one problem - the AC did not seem to properly cool the bedroom. However, there was enough room for lounging, entertaining, cooking, and all of the vacationing you could want. It is very clean and certainly worthy of its ranking as a resort hotel. We look forward to returning.
And the check-in process as a 3rd party customer was much smoother (and faster) than others waiting in line. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"

"The only negative comments I had with my stay at Bay View was the elevator issue. It takes a long time to catch a elevator to your floor at certain times of the day. The hotel is aware of the issue, but is gonna do nothing about it. On the other hand the room I had was very clean and up to par, as far as hotel rooms go. Small pools, little crowded at times, you would think most people would be in the ocean. No outside pool. Overall i would stay there again if it wasn't for the elevator issue."

"The Bay View Resort condo we rented for our stay at Myrtle Beach was great! The hotel was very clean and well kept inside and out. It was right on the Beach which was so convenient. The only complaint we had was that the mattress and pillows were terrible. The pillows were all notted up inside the casing and the mattress was worn out. We both got up each day with back aches and were glad when it was time to leave so we didn't have to sleep on the mattress again. Other than that, everything was great."

"Well it was 4 of us and we had 2 double beds the room is fairly small, but the bathroom was pretty spacious. The alarm clock didn't work, some of the lights didn't work. Housekeeping only made the beds, they didn't vacuum or bring new towels. It was a really nice ocean view and it was on the boardwalk strip, the elevator situation is terrible considering there is 19 floors and only 3 elevators and it doesn't stop every time. This def is not the best, especially for the price, but I'm sure it could have been worse. I would recommend this hotel but I personally wouldn't stay here again."

"I do not recommend this hotel. We were very disappointed with the hotel itself. The room was very small...so glad it was just the two of us....hardly room to turn around. The bathroom was a decent size....and did have a vent fan and AC. The room was ocean view and the view was nice. Upon arrival, our key cards would not open the door, therefore maintenance had to let us in. Upon inspection of room, there was a bit of food/trash under cabinet where it had not been cleaned. The second day, our key cards didn't work again and we had to be let in by maintenance once again. They seemed to be puzzled by this issue. The room was not vacuumed or cleaned the second day. The clean towels were simply plopped on the bathroom counter and not hung up. The trash under sink was not removed. They only made the beds. The third day, only beds were made as well. Linens were never changed on third day as they should have been. The hotel elevator situation is a joke as there are only 3, so there are long waits. The parking deck was way across the street in a 'not so desirable area.' The only positives of the hotel is the 'Boardwalk' out front and the Starbucks. We found this spot as a 'deal', but sometimes you get what you pay for."

"This was the first time we stayed at this resort, but it surely will not be our last. What a fantastic hote! We had a ocean front room on the sixth floor and loved to sit on the balcony in the evening to hear the roar of the ocean, and were pleasently surprised to see a fireworks display on Wednesday night. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Grand Strand, the beaches are beautiful, it is a short walk to the new boardwalk and not far to drive to Boardwalk on the Ocean. I noticed that other reviews mentioned that the elevators were slow, but the hotel must have fixed that, because even though there were 19 floors, we never had to wait hardly at all for one of the elevators to come. Also, one of the other reviews complained that parking for the hotel was across the street and two blocks away from the hotel. The really nice inside parking garage is across the street but the two blocks mentioned are about one motel wide. You just walk across the street and next to the motel that is there and come right to the garage. Not far at all! Anyway, this was a great experience."

"We have stayed at Bay View many times and have enjoyed our stay the only problem with those visits were the slow elevators. Our recent experience we had a problem checking into our room. we went to check in at 3:20 and was told our room was not ready it would be ready in about an hour so we went to the grocery store to get that out of the way. We came back about an hour later and was told again our room still was not ready, finally about 7:45 pm the room was ready we were not the only ones that had this problem. Once we got in our room and things calmed down. the rest of the stay was great. I would still recommend this hotel. very clean and friendly staff."

"This was our second stay at Bay View, once last year and then this year. We like the location of this hotel, however the maid service was somewhat slack. I asked for additional towels for the next day at the service desk and those towels, etc never arrived. I had to call down to the service desk the next day and ask for them again. Maid service cleaned our room once and I had to ask them to do so. We enjoy this location as it is convenient to everything in Myrtle Beach however, they need to acquire a little more help with the cleaning of the rooms. "

"We checked in on May 28th and due to a LARGE volume of check outs ALOT of check ins had to do LATE check ins BUT the hotel did the best they could by turning over the rooms as quick as possible and handled everything in a friendly manner (even if some customers got real mean).The hotel itself is real nice. My family stayed in the 2 bedroom oceanfront suite and the view from the 9th floor is GREAT!!!! All personnel was friendly. Room was clean. Indoor pool was small as was the lazy river. Nice lounge chairs out on the lawn but NO OUTDOOR POOL. I thought that weird but the ocean is right there. All in all I would go back to Bay View"

"We enjoyed the stay. The hotel was right on the beach and had plenty of room for 4 ladies. The walk to the boardwalk was short and nice to see all the activity going on there. Having a full kitchen helped with cooking breakfast and having lunch. We ate dinner a few nights in the room which saved us money. There was a nearby mall and Walmart. The staff was nice and very helpful. Housekeeping was the best. Hope to visit again soon!!!"

"This is an awesome hotel!! The Sunset View Condo was so beautiful..... I was so very impressed with the lay out of the room and how super clean it was! I loved the walk way to the board walk, I loved there was a bar next door and a resturant for breakfast across the street!!! The best treat was STARBUCKS in the hotel!!! We needed towles the next day (my son put the do not disturb sign out - we didn't know) and they brought them up just a few minutes after I made the call and more than needed! The staff there was super nice and very helpful with whatever you needed! They only downfall of our trip was the fact that there was a family reunion there at the same time and there were at least 150 or more - that made it super super hard for you to get an elevator and we were on the 16th floor. We were told we would have to pay another day if after 11 when we cked out....but it didn't happen cause their were so many ppl leaving. That was a relief! That was a minor issue and in no way did that disturb my BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!! I want to go back and stay in that very same room - I LOVE IT!!!!! You will tooo!!!!!"

"The ad clearly says oceanfront room free upgrade and I was charged $10.00 per day.

"Pricing is nice. Room was nice. However, the parking was horrible. It's across two streets from the hotel in which you had to use your room card key to unlock the parking garage. The key card seldom worked. Our air conditioning unit froze up on us and maintance never fixed the problem. Maid Service was slow and unpredictable and didn't make our bed two nights we were there. There is no pool outside. The pool area is very crowded and no supervision at all. Kids were out of control. Long wait at the elvators as well. We will not stay here again."

"I would recommend this hotel to everyone, this is my second trip to the hotel and this year was better than last year, my family and I visited Aug 13 to Aug 17 2012, we had a 3 bedroom condo which was what we dream of, our housekeeper,was the most polite, helpful, efficient, friendly person I ever met. Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and friendly, the hotel is very busy and there is a wait for the elevator, who really cares when you having fun, the pool area was clean and kid friendly, the bayview will definitely see me and my family next year, Please visit, it's only about 5-7 minute walk to the boardwalk where there is plenty of entertainment."

"I LOVE Myrtle Beach, and have been at least once a year since I was born. I was excited about the new boardwalk and thought it would be nice to stay on the boardwalk. This was a perfect location, and a perfect motel! The rooms were large, clean, and modern. We had an oceanfront room. The view was great. We got a Starbucks gift card through a Book It promotion, and it was awesome having a Starbucks on location. The bell hops were SOOOO nice to my family and I. In fact, every employee we came in contact with was very friendly. Can't wait for our next visit. We will be returning this spring, and will most definitely stay at Bay View again."

"Had a great stay in the 2 bedroom ocean front condo!! Everything we needed was right there. Balcony was very nice. Able to sit out and enjoy the view of the ocean, sunrise and all. Staff was exceptional. The evening cart driver was great. Picking us up at the garage and bringing us back at our late hour of arrival. Looking forward to our return trip!!!!!"

"We took a last minute getaway, and liked the rates. You can tell the building is older, but inside is updated and clean. Staff was very nice with great suggestions. Was great location, on boardwalk. Would definitely stay again."

"What a great stay at the Bay View Resort! The staff was exceptional and very accommodating. We had a great room on the 18th floor with an amazing view of the ocean. My son was loving the balcony and the room in general. Very easy to get around the hotel and the pool was opened until 11:00pm...awesome! We were also within walking distance to all the attractions like the new Sky Wheel. Also, the parking is quite secure. You need your key to access the garage. Very nice, but you do need to walk outdoors to back to the hotel. You can unload and load back up though in front of the hotel without any problems. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice weekend getaway...We will be back again real soon."

"This was the second time we stayed there and enjoyed it as much as before. Only negative thing was noisy neighbors but the really good shower made up for it. Will definitely come again. Secure parking is a big plus."

"We go to Myrtle several times a year. We stayed in a two bedroom condo at Bay View. No doubt, it is the best place we have ever stayed. The staff was great, the condo was very nice with plenty of room and a great oceanfront view. Bay View is within walking distance of the restaurants and shops on the strand.
I would certainly recommend the Bay View Resort to everyone."

"My sister and me meet, she drove from morehead city and I drove from the charlotte area. we spent Saturday and Sunday and things could not have been better. we had the ocean front and the view was just breath taking. Check in was very easy and the staff was all wonderful. I will stay again and recommend it to my friends. "

"I truly enjoyed my stay. check-in went smoothly the room was nice and clean. the staff were very friendly. the only issues I had was there were no ice machines on each floor the and when it was time to check out it took forever to get a luggage cart and waited at least 30 min for an elevator. but other than that had a ball

"I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I felt right at home. The only thing that I didnt like was the elevators. I had to walk up and down the steps to get back and forth to my room because of the elevator wait. Overall I enjoyed myself and I wouldn't mind staying there anytime I come to Myrtle Beach. "

"We stayed at Bay View for 4 days just before Labor day holiday. What a great time! Check in was easy as we arrived later in the evening. Parking is just a small block away in a secured cover garage, we had no issues getting to/from the garage/hotel. Elevators weren't a problem until the weekend came around as more people were arriving due to the holiday. Pools were small, great for kids, only down fall is there is no outdoor pool. Hotel is right on the boardwalk within walking distance to all the shops and restraurants and far enough away from all loud activities. The view off the balcony was great! We had an ocean front 2 bedroom w/2 baths and full kitchen. Staff was nice, rooms were clean, location was perfect!! Would definetly stay again"
