Resort Activities

Numerous activities are available for guests who would like to relax around this fine resort. Whether you swim or tan, you’ll love a trip to the oceanfront pool. Children will definitely enjoy the enormous Kiddie pool. Everyone may even find themselves relaxing somewhere on the 150 foot Lazy River.

Avid golfers have the opportunity to hit a hole in one with one of the golf packages available from the resort. After a nice round of Golf, you and your friends will enjoy the Atlantica Beach Club. The Beach Club features two meeting areas for small groups and separate private Men and Women lockers complete with showers and restrooms.

Plenty of dining options are also available. For those who would like to eat close to the resort, they will enjoy Mama Mia’s Pizza & Subs, located just across Boulevard. Or, if you would prefer to cook for yourself, feel free to grill on the Oceanfront Sundeck.

"Within two hours of our arrival, our hotel keys didn't work to get into our room. When my fiance called the front desk to ask for someone to come assist us since it was raining and extremely cold, he was given an attitude. He went to the front desk and was speaking with a manager when the employee he had spoke to previously came out of a room running his mouth about my fiance. My fiance told them his pregnant fiance was left at the room in the cold and the employee stated 'that's not my problem.' We were given new keys but only after my fiance had to walk two hotels down to even speak with the manager. One of the chairs at our tables was broke, seashells were on the bathroom floor, there was no shower curtain and there was a cheeto behind the couch by the head where you sit down from the previous guest. Another female manager gave us free buffet breakfast for the day we were leaving to try to make up for the situation. The parking situation is horrible at the resort. There are five parking lots and two overflow lots behind that. On one night, there was no parking whatsoever. My fiance pulled up the front office to ask where we were supposed to park. The manager stated there was a third overflow lot near some apartments behind the first and second overflow lots and that's where we had to park. (This was two hotels down from ours and about three blocks away walking distance in the rain.) It was more hassle staying here than it was fun for us. It was our babymoon getaway and with all the hassle it just took away from the vacation aspect. We had stayed here previously and had an awesome time but after this time, we would not recommend it or stay there again."

"THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD WAS GETTING EXTRA TOWELS AND AND HAVING ENOUGH TOILET PAPER. WHEN WE ARIVE THERE WAS NONE AND WE HAD 4 WOMEN TOOK 1 HOUR BEFORE THEY CAME WITH ANY.

"THE HOTEL WAS A NICE HOTEL. WE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE STAFF. WE ASKED FOR NO ROOM SERVICE TO COME IN DURING OUR STAY. THEY CONTINUED COMING IN ANYWAY. WE HAD A BAG OF JEWELRY THAT WAS MISSING. ALSO THE ELEVATORS SUCKED. THE KEYS TO OUR ROOM HAD TO BE CHANGED OUT TWICE. THE HOTEL MANAGER ASSURED ME HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF US AND DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME A CALL BACK. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO CHECK IN AT 3 OCLOCK LIKE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DUE TO ROOM WAS NOT YET CLEAN. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF NEED TO GET ON THE SAME PAGE."

"The staff and employees went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. when we arrived I was very disappointed to find that my reservations were not correct and it was a book it mistake. When I showed the staff my itenerary that I had printed off, they gladly gave me the one bedroom condo that I had booked instead of the effeciency that the bookit people had entered into the computer. After correcting this mistake, I had trouble finding my room. One of their housekeeping staff took the time to take us to the correct building. I dropped a 12 pack of diet dr. pepper and it went everywhere. This same employee, cleaned up my mess and carried my drinks for me. The hotel is older, the bathroom was small, but over all we had a good experience."

"It was very clean and we enjoyed the prompt and courteous attention given to us by the employees. The only problem we had was with the elevator. Our unit was on the 10th floor and with only one elevator, there was a long wait on several occasions. Also, there were limited utensils in the kitchen of the unit with some of those not working. But overall, we had a pleasant experience."

"The hotel & room were beautiful, but within the first 30 mins my room was robbed. From what I heard there were atleast 3 other rooms and possibly more. They handled the situation and I was given my money back, but it still had an affect on the rest of the vacation. Other than that, I reccommend staying there, but ask for a room with a safe or leave no money in the room (even if you think you hid it)"

"From the time we arrived nothing went well. I had booked and paid for 7 nights and they only had me in for 5. Luckily I had my itenirary so they called a manager. The manager wasn't on site so I had to walk down the street to their sister hotel. They told me that they would have to move us after the 5 days to another room. I asked if they were going to do anything for the inconvenience and the manager said yes and he would call me. Of course, he never called and neither did another manager that I spoke to who also promised to call. Also, they only clean the rooms after 3 days so all the sand and dirt stays there. The floors were filthy. Even when they came to clean after 3 days I had to call them back to the room because they didn't change the sheets or mop. STEER CLEAR of this hotel."

"This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and we wanted something close to the ocean. We got it at the Atlantica Resort. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and well stocked with towels. Cleaning staff came in everyday and replaced what ever we needed. Kitchen had every amedity you could want and everything worked. The staff was absolutely awesome, and very, very friendly. Not a complaint what so ever. The pool was very clean, and there was always staff around to answer any questions we had. I was sad to see our vacation end and have to leave. I am looking forward to going back again really,really soon and won't stay anywhere but here. LOVED IT!!!! "

We were impressed with the cleaniness of pool area and grounds and beach but the unit was lacking in this department, even though the cleaning people came every day.
