the rooms are large and the beds are so comfortable. There is a kitchen in each suite and you can have either king size beds or queen size. There are also two TV's. They have breakfast every morning and dinner except on weekends. The food is so good. There is a pool and also workout room. But it is in a small business community with restaurants, clothing ,stores, a Veterinary, grocery. But the awesome thing is it is 4 miles from the Atlantic Ocean...

Barking dogs, breakfast where there was no food on multiple occasions and house keeping that was below average. Didn't feel like a Hilton property. Loved some of the staff though. Bed wasn't made up on a regular basis. Kitchen cabinets needed to be wiped down. The intake air vent was thick with dust. A dog barking in an adjacent room for three nights straight wasn't managed out of the hotel. Instead I finally moved rooms and that worked, but I wasn't the one who should have been moved.

We stayed at the Homewood suites in Mount pleasant because it was less expensive than staying in Charleston. We had stayed at this same hotel in 2004 and liked it then, so we thought we would go back. The place has been nicely remodeled in soft tones of gray, blue, green, beige and cream. Very relaxing to the eye. We were surprised that not only do they serve breakfast, but they had a nice variety of light hors d'oeuvres around 5 pm. They served fruit, cheese and crackers, pretzels and chips wi... Read more

We were in town for a family Destination Wedding. We had MANY children and adults and rooms. The hotel had activities that kept the children busy when we had down time. (We did not want to interrupt the other guests.) So the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was very good every morning and the staff was wonderful. When the kids decided to change rooms to sleep with their cousins, we were able to get additional towels, soaps, etc very quickly. Will definitely recommend this hotel and site to... Read more

In town for a family wedding. Had all 10+ grandchildren with us. They loved the pool, basketball court, and kid friendly breakfast food and setting. I liked having a TV in the living area with a pretty good pull out couch. That allowed several grandchildren to stay with grandma in 2 queen sized beds - but in the next room.

When we arrived at 3pm check in time there were no rooms available. After us about 8-10 other reservations arrived and all were told the same, no rooms available yet. People make plans and I get that "things" can happen; but no attempt was made to really apologize to any of us or make us feel valued as customers. I mean, offer us some wine/cheese/water...something to make up for the inconvenience. Two women walked in that had to get to a wedding by 4:40. The solution? Change in the bathroom. Ser... Read more

We've stayed at this property in the past. It is usually our first choice. It is a good location - close to the beach and shopping. Lobby area has been recently updated. It is very nice. Front desk staff was friendly. Staff responded quickly to a requests for more towels. Breakfast was fair. The location is nice, the room is average, the breakfast was hard boiled eggs, pets were supposedly on Floors 1 & 2, yet we were on 3 and many rooms had barking dogs. That wasn't the worst part! We confirmed/electronically "checked in" 24 hrs in advance, yet our room was not ready upon arrival and not given to us until 4 pm. The bathroom of our suite reeked of urine from the dog, who preceded us. Had we realized pets were allowed, we would have never booked a room there. Lesson learned.

The Hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. Loved all of the amenities and the breakfast that was included. The only downside was that they allow pets. The dog next door was quite vocal and I somehow had a flea on my arm. Why would someone bring their pet on vacation only to leave him in the room? I didn't choose this hotel. It was where the Wedding party was staying. If I had a pet, I would stay again.

Full-priced hotel delivering average experience Minus: - Room cleanliness much to be desired. - Routine maintenance lacking. - Breakfast was average at best. Unless you wanted a make-it-yourself waffle every day, instant oatmeal and apples were the best option one day! Plus: - Location Overall: hotel was FINE / AVERAGE but gets POOR rating due to value (price).

This was our second attempt to stay at a Homewood suites and I had hoped the first was just a fluke in relation to how properties are ran . Unfortunately I was wrong. When we first arrived we had trouble locating the entrance in as it is built in a controlled signage area. A very small road sign that was hard to see. There was a larger hotel sigh from the main road but at highway speeds it can be hard to see the actual rod sign. This is not a hotel issue but a tip , When we arrived the front des... Read more

When we got into our room I smelled mold. I couldn't find it and it was late so we decided to just go to sleep. I wasn't able to find the mold till the next morning when we walked outside and saw what you see in the photos. This mold was also in the window sills. If they fixed the mold issue this would be a great place. The staff is kind and attentive, the rooms are decorated nicely, and the breakfast is tasty.

I could only obtain one bar of Internet service at this hotel. Even on the hotel's Wi-Fi. It ate up all my data for the month during my 10 day stay. The hotel itself is very nice but it was very frustrating. Even making a phone call I had to go outside to speak.

At first glance, I was impressed with the new renovation. Getting in my room was good but was not greeted with the normal 2 bottles of water upon being a member Affiliated guest. The rooms looked clean and relatively new until I got into it a little further. They went to the extent of changing all of the amenities and making it updated except for the bathrooms especially the tubs and shower. I had no water pressure in my shower and was actually nervous I wasn't going to get any shower that morni... Read more

This property is 10 minutes from the beach and if you are just coming through for a few days, same your money by not staying right on the beach and check out this place. It's very modern, clean, spacious, the complimentary meals are great and it is located in the middle of a shopping area that is very interesting and easy to walk. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is that our room had a precious person's soap in the shower and trash was still in the room. I'm sure... Read more

We loved our two day stay at this hotel, and would definitely stay there again on a return visit to the area. We were a group of twelve, with five young children. This hotel has one bedroom suites, so families were able to put kids to bed comfortably. The breakfast area was perfect for sitting around and visiting, and the pool and patio was great! We ate meals outside while the kids played and swam. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent...well staffed and well managed. Great hot and ... Read more

We stayed here for a week. My husband worked most of the time we were there. My daughter and I swam during nice weather. The staff was friendly and the food was okay. The rooms aren't as big as most Homewood Suites and we felt cramped. They were also old and in need of refurbishing/ major scrubbing. It is in a shopping area where you can walk to shops and restaurants. The price was reasonable. We enjoyed the drink/ social hour during the week.

Not worth the $225! Room had musty/moldy odor. Couch was disgusting. I asked for a luggage cart to be brought to my room the day I departed. The front desk staff told me "No one is here. Sorry." I had to make 3 trips to the car with a 9 month old by myself in 90 degree heat! Front desk staff was extremely rude.

A short drive to ISLE OF PALMS PUBLIC BEACHES [really = 5 MIN.] and walk-able to nearby a small restaurant, community and activity center. Several great restaurants and services [hair, exercise, other] just outside front door of hotel. Also wonderful and convenient if visiting family in Franke Home in Seaside next door [as we did]. Many fun and regional and recommended restaurants nearby in Mt. Pleasant and along Route 17.

The room layout was nice and great location but I'm pretty sure some prior guest stole the mattress from the room and put their 45-year-old mattress on the bed instead. Also, we had a ground level room and it smelled of mildew. The staff was very friendly however. We got in late and left early and did not bother bringing it up so no idea how they would have handled it.
