If you're visiting Charleston but don't want to stay in the city, this is the hotel for you. Located just across the Ravenel Bridge, this property is very clean and hotel staff are friendly. It is a much better bargain than paying the expensive prices of downtown.

Just a nice well appointed hotel convenient to everything in Charleston area. Easy access to Downtown Charleston, Shem's Creek Restaurants, Beaches of Sullivan Island and Isle of Palms. Recommend eating at the Boathouse on Isle of Palms, about 15 minutes from the Hotel.

The manager at this hotel went above and beyond the service I have ever received. Without a lie he should be given a heavy raise. As I read reviews, I requested top floor corner. Yes I was given it but then the manager came out to us while unpacking our car and said he knew we would be much more comfortable on the first floor to trust him. What a stay. Did not here a sound from above or anyone else. Looked out to a beautiful well kept patio. As I watch him over the week, he was so hands on with ... Read more

Recently we spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Mount Pleasant and found the property and staff to be just great. The rooms were spacious and clean albeit just a little dated, but we had a great stay there. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute drive from the Historic District, very easy drive over the bridge to great restaurants and a really interesting part of town.

Enjoyed this hotel. The location was perfect. The only negative thing I can say is the housekeeping staff appeared to be short-staffed as we had to wait on our room to be cleaned each evening after we were gone most of the day. Wendy, who helped us at the front desk, was amazing. She represents this company so well and they are blessed to have her. She made suggestions of things of us to do each day. My family spent 4 nights at this location and although I would recommend it for its location and lack of traffic, there are a few concerns about the property. The rooms still have the floor unity A/Cs and the one in our room was filthy. It caused me to have allergies the entire trip. The hot food was not good, but for free just enjoyed the prepackaged cereals, oatmeals and fruit. It's close to downtown Charleston and the beaches of Sullivan's Island. It's also close to the new waterfront park and Patriot's Point. I guess I was expecting more from a room that booked at $220 a night. First let me say the staff was friendly and the bed was great. However the water pressure was horrible. It took me twice as long to take a shower. There was, what looked like mold/mildew on the tile. So that was definitely a turn off. Then the breakfast was pretty much the bare minimum. Arrived at 6:30 in the evening and the room was not ready. I was told there was a wedding the night before and two cruise ships that left that morning, so they were booked full the previous night. Not my problem. I drove three and a half hours and wanted to get refreshed in my room. There were a lot of people waiting, and a line to get to the desk to find out no rooms are ready. The hotel is average for the price range. We had problems with the television remote not working properly but the front desk employee changed the batteries and said to try that ..did not resolve the problem. There were too many issues with this hotel to give a recommendation. The room didn't seem very clean to begin with, the housekeeping staff had only left one set of towels for a king room.
