Clarion Inn was perfect for my few days in Charleston. It's very easily accessible and just about five minutes from Charleston and the Citadel. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The front desk staff were quite helpful and accommodating. We decided to extend our stay one day and despite being fully booked they were able to make it happen.. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the location just across the bridge from Charleston made accessing the historical district easy by car.

This hotel is our go to hotel....My daughter has to got to MUSC for medical treatment monthly. We stay at this hotel sometimes 5+ time a month. We will not go anywhere else. They do everything to make it comfortable. The front desk staff is great, the lady that does breakfast if fantastic, she is social with the guests and smiles all of the time. The breakfast is more then one can ask for you should not walk away hungry. What every your need they are there for you. I highly recommend the Calrion... Read more

Customer service at check in was rude however the rest of the 3 day stay was friendly and helpful. Hi-speed Internet did not exist, I was never able to connect to the hotel's Internet. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Always fresh towels however some were dingy in color. Breakfast was great. For the amount of people staying there, it was quiet inside the room.

Customer service at check in was rude but friendly and helpful the remaining stay. High speed internet did not exist. Was never able to connect to the hotel's WI-FI. I was impressed with the cleanliness. Clean towels however a few were thin and dingy. Breakfast was great. Very quiet for the hotel being booked.

Just Checked in today for a 4 day visit. Discovered that we are not able to get wifi in our room. Front desk said we should sit in lobby for Internet access. That is not acceptable. This is going to be a long disappointing stay. I am very unhappy about this. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a hotel with Internet access.

The hotel was remodeled a little while back and is still in good shape. The staff was super-friendly and helpful. I recall Bobbie, Melinda and Shantell. They were models of what a professional and competent check-in person should be.

I stayed at the hotel over the weekend and from online the photos are great so why not choose this hotel for the price. But once I checked it was late but the tub would not drain and even though I thought I should ignore the roaches on the outside of the hotel. It was only a few. Then once in the room in the bathroom I killed two roaches and one was dead behind the door. I tried not to be a complainer since it was a low rate and you get what you pay for. The 2nd night not only did they give us a... Read more

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights. The room smelled fresh as we walked in, was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't see any bugs, but it is South Carolina and there are a lot of bugs! We utilized the clean pool and the breakfast had everything from a waffle maker, to fruit and yogurt. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with a reasonable price, this is it! The front desk manager Swantelle Jones is so friendly and accommodating. We just love her!!... Read more

This hotel is a basic clean accommodation and less expensive than staying in Charleston proper if you are staying for business or protracted stays. Very convenient location at base of Ravenel Bridge. Decent value for the level of accommodation and many good restaurants in the area. Also only about 15 minutes from Isle of Palms, Shem Creek, Sullivan's Island, and Daniel Island.

I come from a family that's worked in hotel management for 30+ years so I'm fairly knowledge of the kind of customer service expected as a hotel guest. Never in my experience have I come across such a rude, condescending and arrogant front desk representative as I did at the Clarion Inn. As a frequent traveler with friends who travel often as well, we usually book our rooms through websites like booking.com, Expedia, etc. For a weekend in Charleston, we booked a room for two nights at the Clar... Wonderful location, close to the Ravenel bridge and easy commute to downtown Charleston. Check in easy, even added another night without difficuly. Very nice poolside room. Fantastic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns, pastries, bagels, yogurt, waffles, fruit, cereals, oatmeal, juice, coffee and teas. Also have appetizers in the evening, chicken legs, pulled pork, and spinach dip. Computer in lobby with printer. Easy walk to trail which has a great path over bridge. Everyone was friendly an... The location was perfect. Easy access to everything. The grounds were kept neat/clean. Pool was nice. Breakfast was beyond basics and tasty (especially for free!). Room was spacious, clean/fresh-smelling, and well-appointed. Only small complaints--a little road noise (don't get rooms by highway--we didn't but could still hear a bit at times), walls are thin but not too bad, and hot water was fine in sink but not in shower (??). I would definitely stay here again.

This is a good location if you want downtown Charleston and the beaches. The staff is kind and helpful. Our room was clean and orderly and we didn't have any problems. The rooms all have outdoor entry and there is a pool in the center of the facility, this could be a problem, with noise or children, however for our visit everything was fine.

Wow. Not what I expected for a Clarion, but my fault I guess. Maybe add another star for that. There was nothing essentially wrong with it, just expected more I suppose. The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Great location!

Room size was very European (small) and cost was more. Granted we had a king bed but limited additional space available. Photos of rooms/size deceptive. We stayed the night of July 3 so holiday rates were used - as expected but too high for room provided. Renovations were nice but commode had flush issues. TV reception was not the greatest and remote was inadequate. No drapes to darken room - just sheer drapes which let in lights from nearby parking lots and hotels. Those at the reception d... We stayed at this hotel because it is close to Patriots point. On the first morning my wife awoke early to find a spider in our bed. She is very sensitive to spiders so it could have been a BIG problem if it had bitten her. I took it to the front desk where the gal there seemed very unconcerned about it saying "the exterminator was just here a few days ago, I'll let him know about it". No apology or offer to move us to another room was made. Th toilet was loose on the floor and moved whenever w... Read more

The hotel I usually stay at when I visit the Mount Pleasant area was all booked, this was a great alternative. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were super comfortable, there were plenty of towels in the room, and the room had microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker which all worked and were very clean inside. They had a fitness room which is unusual for an outside hotel and even though we didn't get a chance to visit, the pool area was very nice too. The only problem I had was wit... Read more

Was leaving out of Charleston on a cruise the next morning so decided to drive down a day early and spend the night here. The hotel room was fair, nothing fancy but no immediate problems. The location is great in Mount Pleasant being just a short drive over the bridge into Charleston. The price was very good compared to hotel rates that you find in Charleston. A stay in Charleston, even for one night, can be pricey. The continental breakfast was decent with many choices for everyone in the famil... Read more

Our room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Easy check in and front desk staff very friendly. **Couple of negatives...breakfast area very small and crowded, pool is the same situation. Housekeeping started knocking around 9:30 to see if we had checked out...quite rude actually... the first time they knocked we were still in bed and they just opened the door...they returned an hour later...hotel should respect guests and allow them the 11am checkout

As for the Wifi..... Not to bad I was able to get some work done with no problem on my laptop. Their splash page to log into didnt want to load on my Iphone.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The the pool was nice. We all slept well. I used the washer/dryer which was very helpful. Breakfast was more than continental and we enjoyed eggs potatoes cereal and coffee both days. The only negative was the chilly reception we received at the front desk. We traveled 8 hours and were absolutely exhausted. Bobbie was hardly welcoming.. No smile no mention of the pool or the breakfast etc. I just think that as the face of the hotel, the front desk should hav... Read more

I was worried about noise since the hotel was so full but we didn't hear any other guests once inside the room. The renovation was very well done. One trick, you cannot turn left out of the hotel. So if your going to Isle of Palms, map quest it. A right hand turn takes you back over the Ravenal Bridge and in to Charleston before you can turn around.

We stopped here after a day at beach in eddisto. Front desk area clean and updated. Rooms look nice with nice bedding and headboard and bathroom. But had to ask for refund as we walked into unmade bed no big deal but the roaches in bathroom and fridge were. Bed had little black bugs also. And smell was a bit much more of a must smell .
