We reserved an ocean front condo for $300 a night. Upon arrival we walked into a musty mildew condo. The appliances didn't match, shower head was covered in mildew and the bed hard as a rock. The space was making I'll from the musty smell I asked to be transferred. They did allow us to transfer. I requested a place with a kitchen as we had brought a bunch of food. We walked in the new room and it was a regular room, no kitchen. We were tired to move again. Went to Huey's for dinner and had the w... Read more

Our family has visited the resort for the past 7 years. Each year we feel the staff and upkeep of the resort get better with each visit. The accommodations have always been first class - we have stayed in the village condo's, racquetball town-homes, private homes as well as the boardwalk homes. We have not stayed at the hotel. Lots to do with the family. Our only disappointment was only one restaurant was open (the Lettered Olive was closed for our stay in late May). The Boardwalk restaur... Read more

We really loved this resort! We came as a getaway, but will most definitely return with the whole family next time. We rented an ocean front townhome, and it couldn't have been more perfect. My only complaint about the whole experience was the "card on file" might not necessarily be the one you want, which ended in a refund and charge on the right card. Whenever you use your debit card or credit card anywhere it becomes a "card on file". We used the spa, used the shuttle, went to the boardwalk f... Read more

Disappointed in the cleanliness and standard of the home we stayed in. Clearly we paid for location and not at all for quality of accommodation. The beds were in horrible shape with sunken mattresses (severely) and headboards rattling at the slightest move. Disappointed.

Stayed at Mariners Walk, Loved the screened off porch, with easy access to pool and beach. condo was very clean and quiet and overall was a pleasant stay. The resort however is not consistent inits service. Booked one bedroom condo online, but wasnt aware of it being a queen bedding only. There is no daily housekeeping offered, bathroom amenities are sparse none of which is published on the site. We were really impressed with the accommodations and overall look and feel of the property as a whole. When we arrived, our room number was written down wrong and our code to get in to our room didn't work, but I had the number on the information they had just given us and it was easy to call and get that all straightened out. Our condo had a great location and easy beach access. The beaches were beautiful and not crowded, which was a plus. We wished our dining credit was valid at all of the res... Read more

The customer service was awful from the first moment I called to book at place at Wild Dunes. The information provided to me changed every time I called. The confirmation email was not the price they had quoted me over the phone when I called to ask about this they said "oh my bad". The washer/dryer in the condo we stayed in ruined our clothes. The condo was clean except for all of the stains on the carpet. The condo we stayed in was nice but way over priced.

First time here. Not too impressed for the cost. We reserved room a few months in advance and felt like this was not the best room they gave us. Internet down for over a day, housekeeping missed our room for 2 days, bedside phone didn't work, no bath tub just a shower. We were disappointed since when we made the reservation we were told by the reservationist he was putting us in a great room. If all you need to do is arrive and savor the experience without making all the arrangements, Wild Dunes has every indulgence and convenience available at your fingertips. The resort provides every amenity for your convenience. Accommodations were well appointed, high end and ascetically pleasing. Food, although pricey, was excellent and met our expectations for a destination resort. Something for everyone, kiddy movie night, golf for dad, spa for mom, along with great workout areas. A great resort for a family vacation. So many activities and friendly staff. Clean and attractive. Really like the way the pavilion is set up, so close to the beach and pool. Our condo was a two bedroom and just gorgeous, and spacious! Having a washer and dryer in the condo was super helpful. Location is great, just 15-20 minutes from Charleston.

This was our second time staying at Wild Dunes. The village suite was excellently appointed for our family. The rooms were spacious and it was awesome to have a full kitchen and mini washing machine and dryer for those wet clothes. We had a couple of minor plumbing issues and they responded within minutes. We will definitely be back.

This is a great location, but it is a very expensive place to stay. The bed was very uncomfortable. There is no beach at high tide. Too many noisy kids at the adult pool, where there is a sign, but it is not reinforced by anyone. The food is very good, but also very expensive. Would be nice if they had a less formal place where you could sit and eat, with children.

Wild Dunes is a great place for families and especially if you stay in one of the homes and/or condos for rent within the resort. The Hotel is fine if you want that kind of experience. The room was clean but there was no where to hang wet clothes. The pool at the hotel is for adults only which I think is terrible since we are paying guests at the hotel, too. Instead, you are directed to one of the very overcrowded pools that anyone in the resort can use. Also, even one of those pools had a sign posted "First 15 minutes of every hour is adult swim". Wild Dunes staff and accommodations have repeatedly designated it as our home away from home.
