It offers a place to stay on Hilton Head Island without spending a fortune. We stayed here one night while waiting for our son to arrive. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. Room was comfortable and adequate. The bed was comfortable. Did not notice any noise through the night. Bathroom was small with tub/shower and toilet. A one sink vanity that went wall to wall was in the main room. Overall cleanliness was acceptable but could have been better. The tub had marks/sta... Read more

Really? Pet Friendly?? Not at all -- don't bring your pet because he is not welcomed at all!! A very militant individual manages this place in the afternoon. She patrols the perimeter for anyone who is possibly committing an infraction -=- what? a drink by the pool!!! NOT tolerated!!! WHAT? a pet by the pool? NOT tolerated? And there was no sense of satisfying the customer -- the overall feeling was -- this is our place -- DO as we say or leave!!!! Not pet friendly, not even people fr... Read more

We stayed here after checking out of another hotel due to uncleanliness. I was surprised at how spacious the room was! My husband and I, plus another couple stayed in this room without having to crowd in. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. This hotel is a tremendous value. You really can't go wrong with this chain if you're on a budget.

The room was clean but there are no elevators at this location. This is a problem if you don't want to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs. Also there is no breakfast except coffee. There is a place next door for breakfast. They also tell you that it is a no smoking motel and you may only smoke if certain areas. They almost were to the point of being rude about it. I did not feel welcomed at all.

The service - especially Chris, the manager - was excellent! And this is a great value for HHI - nice pool, clean & comfortable room. By no means should you expect resort-level lodging at an inexpensive price, which is why I only gave it three stars.

I admit I was hesitant to book this but after reading a gazillion reviews I decided to take the plunge. I intentionally booked a room on the 2nd floor as it appeared (from reviews) that these had been remodeled. It was very clean & comfortable & at $90 a good deal for that area. If you lean toward "hotel snob" but don't want to spend $200 for a room I would definitely recommend it.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean. Good value for the money, especially holiday/ opening weekend of the summer season. If I had any complaint I would say the room had a weird scent to it.

Staff was great, they didn't have the suite available I had reserved so they gave me an extra adjoining room. Needed sheets for the sofa bed and were delivered to the room right away. Nice pool, hotel wasn't quite as close to the beach as we had thought, but our stay was comfortable clean and quiet. Would stay there again, can drive to the beach and park for free.

We had three great days/nights here in late May 2016. A superb value for the generally pricey HH Island. We had a two room suite for four adults at $150 per night ... damn good rate! A King bed suite and a separate living room and mini kitchen type area with a full sofa sleeper.Centrally located, near the beaches and the shops and restaurants. Everything just a 5 to 10 minute drive. We are not golfers, were weary that there would be way too much golf stuff, it was not an issue at all. A clean, w... Read more

I needed a place to stay for two nights while visiting Hilton Head Island. I didn't want to spend a lot and found this hotel and so glad I did. It certainly isn't the Hilton but it was much better than I had expected for the price. The lobby was welcoming and the woman at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room I was in was updated and comfortable. The floor was a fake hardwood instead of carpeting which I found to be a nice touch. The hotel is in a great... Read more

Room was filthy and run-down. There was a roach on the floor, and multiple bugs in the room throughout our stay. The door frame was extremely beat up. The phones were out of service for our entire stay, which meant we could not request housekeeping items without walking all the way to the front desk. Also be warned that there are no refrigerators in the less expensive rooms. My expectations were fairly low due to the pricing, but previous reviewers gave this hotel high marks for value and cle... First of all the front desk help is rude, unfriendly and just nasty. Don't believe coffee with powder creamer and micro mini muffins is a breakfast. Orange juice was so so watered down. Only 2 chairs one table. Is THIS called a breakfast or breakfast area? Rooms were needing updating, ac did work... Nicest part was the pool was clean and the pool guy was awesome.... only Kudo I could give was to him... Room cleaners spoke no English and no help to get towels or room cleaned.

It was clean and centrally located. Yet, there are no elevators, breakfast is minimal, no microwave or refrigerator in the room, and automatic charge for use of safe. Apparently, an elevator is considered a special need. First time I've encountered that, and I've travelled extensively. Only "select" rooms have microwave & refrigerator. Should have read the fine print. Breakfast was instant coffee and tiny muffins that seemed days old. Although, instant oatmeal and apple juice was available. Th... Read more

This is a Red Roof Inn, but it's the BEST for lodging on Hilton Head Island, when all you're going to do is sleep at the hotel/motel! Their rooms have "hardwood" floors, NO wall-to-wall carpeting, so they are clean and fresh smelling. So much nicer in humid climates, and more hotels/motels need to do the same! I'll definitely stay here again, and the staff was great, plus they adapted to my busy schedule, what a pleasure! The location was ideal, near a nice pancake house, and easy to head ou... Read more

Well for "value" this would be a good stop. If all you're looking for is a place to sleep, room was clean, and decent. Be Aware it is "no frills" (No mini fridge, microwave, etc) But if all you are looking for is a quiet place to sleep, it worked well. Desk staff was good and helpful, since this was my first visit to Hilton Head.

We were really excited to have found a pet friendly affordable accommodation on HHI. But, after booking and calling to ask some questions we had to get a condo elsewhere. We were planning to bring our 5 llb elderly Chihuahua with us. Upon speaking to the front desk we were given a long rude lecture on why we shouldn't bring her. We were told that she could never ever not even for a few minutes be alone in the room, not even in a crate. That means no beach during the day since dogs aren't allowe... Read more

We came to Hilton Head for just one night and selected Red Roof Inn because of the price being so reasonable in comparison to most others during the summer season. Room was small but clean and the pool area was very relaxing and not crowded when we lounged there after dinner. Be aware the air conditioner in the room is one of the loudest we've ever experienced and prevented us from getting a good night sleep. Also my husband felt the pillows and bed were too hard. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It is always clean and meets all of our needs. I enjoy the pool, it is always clean and most of the time not very crowded. I have never seen bugs or any other creatures, except maybe a small lizard. You can get to several different beaches easily from here. It is in a nice location. It is not on the beach but in Hilton Head, not a lot of places are. I will definitely return, probably at least 1 more time this year.

Checking in was very easy so was check out. The bed was comfy, floors were dirty and bathroom area was dirty with lots of hair everywhere. I have blonde/very short hair and the hair in the bathroom floor, toilet, shower curtain and shower was long and short black hair... So it was not mine. Had the room attendant clean after first night, hair still there. My suggestion have someone inspect rooms!?

Recently spent a weekend on Hilton Head and stayed here for the first time. For an older location, the recently renovated room was quite nice, clean, quiet, cool, and functional for our needs. It was five minutes to everywhere on the island, which is quite nice. The hardwood floor is nice, especially when we returned from the beach. I'd stay here again for a weekend, but it's too small for a longer visit if you have more than two people. Not a ding, just a facet of being an older location with s... Read more

This hotel was a bit overpriced for the type of room (outside entry-double beds) but for Hilton Head Island it was priced accordingly. The room was small and the double beds were very soft, but the room was clean and had all the basic amenities. We stayed at the RRI to extend our sleeping capacity for family weekend get together in HHI. As such we used the facility primarily for evening rest. We found it clean, simple and the workers to be very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very simple (two queens, simple dresser, sink and separate toilet/shower) and stereotypic motor inn style layout . Function trumps aesthetics (carpet, linens, fixtures older/dated).
