Very disappointed - unit appears to be the place where furniture goes before the goodwill store. Kitchen was minimally stocked. What was there needed to be washed before use. We bought paper plAtes and plastic silver ware- just not healthy to use what was in cabinets. The third day we found cock roaches bigger than I have ever seen in our unit. After calling Interval with no options to move- calling and leaving a message w mgmt company- we were told it's a a common problem. Common problem- then ... Read more

My husband and I stay for a week in September 2015 in a two-bedroom (with loft) condo. (Lots of stairs.) The condo was outdated but was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The master bed mattress was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of The Villages. It was a short walk to the beach and it was a plus to see that there were public restrooms there. We enjoyed lunch at the golf clubhouse next door. We would stay at The Villages again if the other condos were co... Read more

We obtained a timeshare studio villa at The Village at Palmetto Dunes through an Interval International exchange. We've been to Hilton Head Island many times although this was our first stay here at The Village. Although the unit is older, it has for the most part been well-maintained and updated through the years. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets are basic and look like the originals, although the kitchen countertops have been updated with granite. The back of the stove is now sporting crackle... Read more

This was a wonderful resort. We were not sure what to expect - what can you tell by looking at a few pictures. But this was a spacious resort right on a lagoon, near the ocean, with lots to do on site and near by.

My late husband and I bought timeshares at the Village in 1980 and for 15 years - every year- traveled down to Hilton Head from Boston with our 4 kids. We all loved it there and really looked forward to our vacation. Fast forward 20 + years and I'm back for the first time since 1995. On the outside it still looked nice, lovely, well-maintained grounds but the units are tired and need maintenance and refurbishing. The a/c in our unit worked when it felt like it. Let's just say we had it set t... Read more

We stayed here as a time share exchange for England and were disappointed. We have had several exchanges in the US and apart from one other (Smoktree Lodge in Banner Elk) this is the worst. It is very dated and needs updating. It is also very noisy - every morning for our week there was someone with a leaf blower or lawn mower at 6am working outside. The pool is quite small and the loungers are very crowded. We had a studio which has windows in the roof area with no curtains so the light com... Read more

We just returned from a week in a studio at the Village at Palmetto Dunes. This unit faced the lagoon with easy access to the beach path. We had a patio that faced a wooded area so we enjoyed the privacy of our own backyard. The pool was small but there were open loungers the two times we went there. Most of our time was spent on the beach. Check in went smooth and the unit was very clean. The beds were comfortable with surprisingly nice linens and pillows. The wireless internet service was... Wonderful condo with easy access to the beach. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo. We had access to a quiet pool and laundry facilities along with a five minute or less walk to the beach. The General Store provided a variety of items to everyone, deli items, ice cream, household items, all at a very reasonable price.

Palmetto Dunes grounds are very nice. Many areas to grill, bike, walk, sit and playground for kids. Short walk to the beach and 3 restaurants, as well as the general store. The pool has activities for kids to do M-F. Golf, tennis, bike rentals all right here. The actual villa was probably a 2 star at best. Furniture has stains all over it. Upon entering villa, a horrible smell was in the kitchen- never went away until we used air fresheners and cleaned ourselves. Screen door didn't want to open/... Read more
