We were going to a concert at The Peace Center, and was booking late. Everything near the center was full.. Also a big barbeque weekend for the North Carolina Barbeque Association. Lots of people in town. Long and short, we felt lucky to score this hotel just out of the fray, yet everything was walkable. Clean, efficient, a suite hotel. All things in house were quite wonderful. Just kind of secret and off the beaten track. Not a bad thing at all.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Florida for spring break. I was surprised at how quiet the street was when we went to bed. I was thinking it would be much louder being next to a fairly run down complex but it wasn't. Work out area was clean and stocked with towels. Beds were comfy with soft sheets and the room overall was nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing outstanding but it was edible. We would probably try a different hotel next time just because of that. My family loves a nice breakfast. I... Read more

We visited Greenville for our anniversary, and the location of the hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of the main downtown area of Greenville so we were able to park at the hotel and walk everywhere. As always the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was awesome! The staff was pleasant and helpful as well.

I was in town for a wedding which was right across the street from the hotel. The hotel location is a 5 minute walk to the "heart" of Main street in Greenville, which is one of the nicest "Main streets" for it's size that I have ever been to. This hotel is one of the few, if not the only hotel, that does not charge for parking. We had two cars and still were not charged. You may want to check to see if there are any 'special' events going on downtown during your stay because I'm betting the rate... Read more

This is a great place to stay. Greenville is ranked in the top 10 US towns having a downtown area. I like to walk, and from the hotel there are a great many entertainment options within 10 minutes. Despite all this, the hotel is extremely quiet and my sleep wasn't disturbed once. Rooms are fine, breakfast always tempts you to eat more than you should - the warm cinnamon pastries are a particular challenge! From coffee to porridge, you can't go wrong. I used the gym, it was reasonable. The poo... Read more

Stayed 4 nights for a wedding. Couldn't ask for a better location, close to all shopping, bars, restaurants, galleries. Short 8 block walk to Falls Park. Room was clean and updated. Front desk and housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was average. Nice pool in the back which I had all to myself. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is very well situated in Greenville at the top of the street. Less than ten minute to the river and there are bars and restaurants within a minutes walk. Many local even - I visited a Friday night jazz festival which was entertaining and drew a good crowd. Comfortable bed and well equipped room. Small pool outside, small gym which has a running machine and limited other equipment but did the job. Breakfast as you expect. Very friendly and attentive staff and I would stay here again.

Clean room, great friendly service, good breakfast, pool was well maintained, near lots of fun places - what more could you want? Desk has lots of good eating/site-seeing ideas and yummy cookies during the afternoon. Try to take a trip to the downtown area during summer weekends - farmers market on Sat and street events on Friday.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Greenville and were very happy with everything. The location, though not right in the heart of downtown, is just 2 blocks from downtown. We walked everywhere, including the Fluor Field which was just about a mile away, but the walk was beautiful. The middle of downtown was maybe 1/3 of a mile away. Our king size room was very big, and very clean. The free breakfast was better than most we have had. It included scrambled eggs, both pork and... Read more

This is one of the nicer Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in recently. The staff is nice and the hotel is clean. It is on the far end of downtown and there are plenty of places to walk to eat. The breakfast area is well stocked in the morning. I would stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel with a reasonable rate for being so close to downtown Greenville. Only a 20 minute walk from the heart of downtown. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Also, the staff were wonderful, which is a big plus in my book.

Hotels is clean and the bed is comfortable but I was looking forward to chilling by the pool but after seeing it I didn't really want to! The pool is overlooked by a car park and there are a few sun loungers and tables but the water itself doesn't look very inviting. Despite being here for 5 days I haven't seen anybody in or around it. There is no bar to get a drink from either. The breakfast is easy going and with a very good choice of foods. Hotel is located at they'll end of Main Street so ... Read more

We needed a suite while visiting Greenville, so that limited our choices in hotels. We were worried that this site might be too far away to walk to downtown restaurants and Falls Park but it wasn't. If weather didn't cooperate just we took a cab. In fact, it is very close to some excellent restaurants on N. Main St. The trolley also runs right in front of the hotel, albeit not frequently. The service at the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, including the... Read more

Checked in after a long day of driving and sight-seeing. Fresh cookies and orange infused water was enjoyed on the lobby couch in the lobby while I rested. The young man checking me in provided me with an overview of the hotel in relation to downtown attractions and provided a pre-printed list of area restaurants. I was able to walk from the hotel all the way to the river park, without any issues, feeling quite safe as a solo female. The room was immaculately clean and was equipped with a mi... Read more

A great place to stay when you want to be down town. Just a block or two from the action and you get a free breakfast, parking. Staff is kind and friendly and the rooms are clean and neat. They even called me before a week before I arrived to ask if there was anything I needed, WOW.

We were looking for a suite with seating area, 2 beds and a pull out sofa. This hotel was reasonably priced for downtown area, and offered the space we needed with free self parking, continental breakfast, and microwave/fridge/sink area in room. It was on Main St but about one block from where the restaurants and shops begin at Hyatt Regency. We parked our cars for 2 nights and walked to shopping and dining. The front desk staff was terrific and helpful with bedding and cookies. For the pri... Read more

We chose this hotel because of the location. We have consistently excellent experiences with Holiday Inn Express locations and this was no different. Friendly staff-- front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping. We didn't use the pool but would have. Free parking and easy walking distance to Children's Museum. Fun, easy walk down main street for gelatto, toy store visit, and general sightseeing. Would choose this location again in a heartbeat.

Good location just a few blocks away from the main downtown strip. The free parking is a huge plus, saving you at least 20 bucks a night. The staff was courteous and accommodating. We didn't try the breakfast but it smelled good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed here for a wedding and thought out $250 a night rate would be justified with quality. Boy were we wrong. The rooms were small and showing their age. The bathroom didn't have a fan and had some serious signs of water damage. The staff was so so no bad run ins but not wow'd either. Next time we would have saved our money and stayed at the Hampton Inn all three nights rather than just one.

Visited this hotel for five nights during Hurricane Matthew. The location is excellent in the heart of the city. It is quiet despite the central location. The staff was very helpful with special appreciation for Deanna Daughenbaugh the General Manager. The interior accousistics of the hotel are very good. We did not hear sound from the hall way nor noise from outside.

I stayed at this hitel this past weekend, and it was the best! Perfect to walk to Downtown or the Bon Secours Wellness Center. Saved a bunch on parking fees!! Hotel was clean and had great amenities like a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfest bar had great healthy choices. All around, this hotel was perfect!

I arrived at 11 pm to find the bed had not been changed or washed from the previous guest. The pillow case looked a bit worn so I whipped the top sheet back to reveal dirt particles and a body hair. The front desk person moved me to their last available room but, needless to say, I was very disappointed. Central location and nice staff.

Hotel is clean and convenient. As a IHG gold member I was asked in advance for special requests. I requested high floor and extra pillows.
