"Really enjoyed our stay at the Water's Edge this past week (April 16-23, 2013). As other reviewers noted the building is quite old and some of the furnishings are dated, but our condo was very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The units are huge. The balcony overlooking the ocean was to die for. We were on the 14th floor and the elevators were never an issue. Having the washer and dryer in the unit was also a plus, first time i've ever arrived home with a suitcase full of clean clothes...lol.
The location of the resort was also ideal. You are within walking distance along the beach to the Garden City pier. Lots of shopping and restaurants within a short drive.
I would definitely return here and also recommend it to my friends.
Oh by the way, the staff at this resort are excellent, including the ladies in the little convenience store.

"Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Since it was February, the ocean was freezing, but the pool and hot tubs were wonderful. minor problems with the room (ice machine in freezer not working) took a day to fix, but staff went out of their way to be nice. Washer and dryer and full kitchen a definite plus."

"Water's Edge is an older but well maintained facility. Don't expect the large ornate lobby that you'll find in many of the newer resort hotels, but the staff was friendly and efficient and the price was just a bit more than half of what I would have paid at one of the other resorts. The condo was large (over 1000 square feet for a 2 bed/2 bath unit), and had a large ocean front balcony. My wife was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room (and she's very picky about this). The furniture and decor were somewhat dated, but perfectly serviceable so no problems there. The Garden City Beach location was a few miles south of Myrtle Beach proper, but it was just a short drive to all the restaurants, shopping and other attractions that we visited. Note that daily maid service was not provided, but there was trash chute a short walk from the door to our condo and extra bathroom tissue, sheets, etc. were readily available at the front desk for the asking. If you're looking for the full luxury resort experience then this may not be the place for you, but if you want to save some money and still have a very nice stay at the beach then I'd recommend checking out the Water's Edge."

"The carpets were badly stained in the living room, the bed room was worse, even in the closet (possible dog) They say no pets, but we seen a dog on a balcony and heard dogs barking in the building The plumbing was noisy and the toilets keep running. The balcony chairs should be put in the trash. The pools and spas were good and the beach was good..The unit that we were in needs some repairs. We had free breakfast each morning and it was good The best thing was no timeshare people bugging us. Oh,the ocean front view (10th floor )was excellent, but the balconies were close."

"We had a great time! We rode down on our trike to have a nice quiet birthday weekend and discovered it was Bike Week! It wasn't nearly as quiet as we anticipated but we were glad we chose that weekend because we could ride around with other bikers. It was our first time staying in Garden City so we didn't know what to expect. It was quiet inside our spacious 1-bdrm, 2-ba, fully equipped kitchen, and full-size washer dryer. Only thing we heard was the surf when the tide was coming in, and we were 6 floors up! All the balconies faced the ocean. The pools (indoor & outdoor) were great, as were the hot tubs (indoor & outdoor). The suite was clean and everything at our fingertips. When we first arrived it smelled a bit, but I attributed that to be because it was closed up and not aired out. It's been my experience that rooms near the ocean will develop a musty odor, but after a little airing out it disappears. I blame that on the patrons who stayed there before us -- coming inside with wet bathing suits and towels dripping on the carpet. After we opened the sliding glass door and aired the place out, it no longer smelled. At check-in we were given 4 coupons for 4 days' free breakfasts - 1 coupon good for 2 people -- we had 4 free breakfasts for the 4 days we were there. We each had 3-egg cheese omlettes, bacon, and hash potatoes -- free! Coffee/juice extra. 2nd day we each had 3 large pancakes, bacon and grits. Very filling. The owner was also very nice and helpful. It was sunny and 80 weather Fri Sat. Sun it was cloudy and chilly and windy Mon. We left for home Tues morning and it was cold and dreary. We definitely will be back and hopefully will stay at The Water's Edge Resort. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. A great place to stay, plus indoor parking!"

"Stayed 7 days at Waters Edge room 110 .. great view , up dated , and comfortable bed. Pool was open until 12 which was nice as others close at 10. You do not have to drag your luggage across the road as the parking garage is attached, The view was amazing and you were on the beach as close as i have ever been in a ocean front .. No traffic and it was quite peaceful area .. i have stayed at other resorts and paid much more they were fancier in furniture and public areas but not as peaceful and relaxing. Staff were nice the security guard was helpful and tried to help us get the internet working at midnight when maintenance was not there and the maintenance man was great the wireless was not working in our room and he made 3 trips to fix it with out a complaint.. Staff were pleasant and helpful ..i was very worried when i read the reviews prior to getting to Waters Edge and when i seen the lobby area however once in the office and our room this had to be the nicest stay in Myrtle Beach. There were no timeshare people bugging you and the beach was not packed, people were friendly. If you want touristy , board walk loud , and young drunks screaming don't stay here. If you want peace and relaxation and friendly people and staff stay here. oh and the lady in the gift shop is awesome."

"the first room we got smelled funky, and the carpet was stiff - as if it were just shampooed, but the carpet was badly stained, by something looking kinda muddy...so we asked to see another room. the desk clerk gave us two other keys and told us to see how those were, and explained that the units were all privately owned and that some are kept up better than others. The one we chose was great! It had new carpets, new appliances, granite countertops and all the comforts of home! We were there for a week and I didn't want to leave!"

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Water's Edge Resort. We stay in room 1002 which was very spacious and clean. Friendly Staff at resort's gift shop, restaurant, and bar. I would recommend the onsite Cafe dinning is the best at the beach. Extended times to visit in and outdoor pools, hot tubes and fitness centers clearly pass other resort closing times.
We definitely will stay again at Water's Edge Resort Soon......REALLY THIS IS A GREAT FAMILY RESORT TO VISIT HANDS DOWN. OH, Please try out their foods at the Cafe. 100% Satisfaction.

"We stayed in 103. Decor was outdated, yes but everything was functional. We didn't use the pull out sofas, so I can't speak for those, but the bed was acceptable and clean. There was some grime, but it was typical stuff like around the light switches. The dishes were not perfectly clean, but I we just rinsed them before use, no biggie. The view was awesome. The only dirt I saw in the elevator was sand in the floor...it is the beach. No, this place isn't perfect, but for the money it was great."

"They messed up our room and gave us two seperate keys when i first checked in. The first room was on the 15th floor and smelled funny, the furniture was really out dated. The secod room was much better but we asked for two queen beds not twin so they upgraded to a room on the lobby level overlooking the pool with a HUGE tv in the living room and both bedrooms there was also a DVD player in one room and the living room. The furniture was much nicer and the dinning table was bigger than the pictures and other rooms. You could tell they were in middle of upgrades and we got lucky. The bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms were really nice. I didn't even complaine about the other rooms, just asked if there was any rooms with two queens available and he moved us to a much nicer room. Everyone i delt with was extra nice and helpful. We will stay there again no doubt. The ONLY drawback was that there isnt wifi like it says. the rooms are hardwired to the internet and if your close to the lobby you may be able to get a little signal but it is horrible. That would normally be a deal breaker for us but we had such a great time that we will make due in the future due to our wonderful stay."

"We found a 'pretty good' deal during a mid week 3 night stay. We've stayed at several other Myrtle Beach properties, some of better quality and some of lesser quality. We talked to a very nice real estate agent that lives in the building. He said the property was built in 1985. The property being 27 years old, it definately shows its age. Our room, was reasonably clean, but definately was in need of a deep cleaning and an update. The maintenance and cleanliness were not obstructions to a good time,but they could be a hindrance to a return trip. You can tell that some snow birds live there in the winter as owners. The decor is vintage 1993. I'm not a decorator, but with $5,000 invested in this one room, they could probably command 50% more in nightly and weekly rates. One positive upgrade that the owners did do was provide memory foam toppers to the pull out couches. Kuddos. There's nothing worse than a kid complaining of a terrible night's sleep because of springs in their back.
The pool deck was newly updated and the beach access point is well appointed with foot washing/shower stations. Overall, I like that the Garden City area because it is not overly congested. We also like that there was a Krispy Kream and a Wal-Mart Supercenter within 2 miles of the property. We stayed ocean front and the views were beautiful, but the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors have obstructions like palm trees that were a little annoying.

"Just like others have said the rooms were a little dated. our disposal didn't work,ac unit,dish washer,washer&dryer all needed repair. The room took 2 can's of air freshner to get rid of smoke smell don't get me wrong i smoke but never in my home or inside,period I can't stand the smell.I arived to find they had me in a 1 bed room when i had payed for a two bedroom after 45 min they got me in my room the staff were all very nice from the guys cleaning the hallways to the gentelman at the pool everyone needs to say hello to fuzzy. overall for the price not bad but just not what i was expecting. everyone is right it has the best oceanfront on the beach with the pier right down the beach with live band every night it's a party . i just hope they clean the elevator hall on the 8th floor it smelled like urine from day one some dog couldn't wait to get in there room i've stayed in rooms the same size and price on the beach / oceanfrontveiw this one lacks alot. "

"The hotel was very attentive to our needs. We had a broken shower knob that got fixed within hours of the issue being brought to the attention of the hotel staff. As mentioned by another traveler, the hotel could use a little updating. The unit that I stayed in only had the one queen sofa bed. The 3 bedroom unit only sleep 8 people. Otherwise, the stay was awesome and I would definately recommend."

"fullfilled all of our traveling needs, my only complaint was the wallpaper in the room needed cleaned or taken down. We didn't mind that the appliances were older, the view of the H1 was great, the beach was perfect, the amenities at the resort were very good(pools, hot tub).
If I would return I would try to pick a different unit unless wall issue was resolved.
For the money and oceanfront and family atmosphere I would recommend."

I thought calling the hotel once I booked would increase my chance of getting a more updated room, but to no avail. I mentioned again at check-in and they did give us a choice of looking at 2 suites and making a decision. They both were about the same (average). "We have stayed here on many occasions. The major complaint we had is that the hotel has not been maintained over the years. The carpet has been the same ever since we started coming (about 20 years). Also, another elevator needs to be installed to meet the needs of the guests. The room was spacious and met our needs for sleeping and cooking. We did enjoy having the washer and dryer in our room. However, there were holes in the ceilings and the baseboards were coming loose from the wall. The beds were quite comfortable. The keys did not work properly and caused quite a bit of trouble to go get another one each time we needed it. We will probably choose to find another place to stay in Myrtle Beach the next time we go to the beach. We love Myrtle Beach, but the facility has not been properly maintained."

"This hotel, yes is older, but you will NOT find any larger rooms in this area or on ay other beachfront from SC to FLA unless you want to rent a house. We were very surprised and my kids were in awe of being able to sit on the loveseat and still see the beautiful clean ocean !! We stayed over the 4th of July and the fireworks were Non-stop from 7/3 on....which was loud and got old after the first night actually! (and they were very close to our 12th floor balcony). The elevators worked fine and were actually pretty fast for 14 floors. Jt a tad outdated, but overall clean ,cool and comfortable. It was a ton of room and we wanted to stay longer....maybe next year ;)"

"Great accomodations for the price. We travelled with two friends and their 1-yr old. We had plenty of privacy and room in the 1bdrm suite with 2 baths. The balcony onto the ocean was great.
We did have a nasty experience late our first night, when we went to the LL to access the beach and had to walk around some stinky pile outside the bar area. Whew.
Also, the lifeguard outside the resort abused his little bit of authority. He was extremely rude and threatened to call the sheriff on my wife when she was sitting alone on the beach. She didn't even have time to get a word in edge-wise to explain the tent she was sitting next to was not hers. It was unacceptable behavior."

"I got there early and room was ready so they allowed me to check in. The space was large. However, it was extremely out-dated. It had everything I needed by way of fresh running water, clean towels and a functioning kitchen and two bathroom.s The big downside is that I was not just once but twice locked out of my room because of faulty locks. The first time was not a pleasant experience as I had come back in the evening after a soak in the outdoor hot tub and was in a wet bikini with just a towel and my key. I had to wait in reception for an hour rather cold and miserable. Maintenance had to be called out and indeed got me in but promised to come by during the following day to fix it properly. I did not dare use the lock that had jammed so only used the dead bolt. Believing they were back I used the lock again the day after only to come back yet again to be locked out. This time I just went straight to reception and told them I was going out and they needed to fix it so I could get back in. They did but it is NOT good that I book a hotel room for four nights and get locked out twice.
The resort is very old and dirty. The carpet in reception is truly disgusting. There are two elevators which is not adequate for this 15 story building. So many people that I found it quicker to actually walk up and down the stairwell. Thankfully I am able bodied. What is worrying is I noticed the emergency fire alarm in the stair well on one floor was actually locked. The next floor it was actually broken.
There is a disgusting cafe downstairs and apparently does not belong to the resort however I would definitely not recommend eating there. The owner does not wash his hands between handling food and money and on the two occasions I handed him money he short changed me. I said nothing the first time but did the second time. He provides no receipts and it is cash only so I would say 'tourists beware' particularly if you have an accent and someone may suspect you do not recognize the dollar bills.
If you want to be close to Myrtle Beach this is NOT the place to go as it is about 10 miles south of there and with all the traffic takes about 30 minutes to drive up to where all the action is."

"We arrived on Thursday afternoon two hours earlier than check in time. I asked at the desk if we could park there until time to check in so the kids could get onto the sand. I was informed we not only could park there, but we could go on and check in early. We got a cart and moved into the ninth floor suite which was in good repair. The frig and sink/counter area was in good condition. The stove did need the burners adjusted to level and the oven did not cook evenly, but often that is the case in a rental property. We were very pleased with the living area, the view was great. I did find one of the fold out beds to be broken when we were ready to fix it for the kids at bedtime, but the second one worked fine. The three bedrooms were nice and the beds were exceptionally nice for a resort rental. I was there on some of the same dates as some other reviewers and we experienced no great problem with the elevators. They were busy and a little slow but when on vacation I am not in a rush to get places. I am there to relax and slow down, therefore it met the needs of my family very well. There were 8 of us and I did not here a complaint from anyone about the accommodations and we all loved the location.
What more could you ask than to go to sleep and awaken to the sound of the ocean? Beautiful views, wonderful area to walk in the morning for sunrise vistas and awesome sunsets too.
We all had a great time and the small inconveniences were far and away out weighted by the small crowds, clean beach and friendly staff."

"Overall experience was positive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building is older but it is right on the beach which is a huge positive. Unfortunately the elevator went out twice while we were there and we were on the 15th floor. We had to level the burner on the stove before we could cook on it safely, the microwave didn't work, and we had a storm the 3rd night we were there and the door wasn't sealed well and I listened to the wind screaming through for hours. BUT...you could not beat the price I paid and being right on the ocean. If the staff had been less friendly I would probably not ever go back, but the staff really made the difference."

"The location was very good. Easy to find with good access to shoping and food. The veiw from the room was great. We could see up and down the water front from our balcony. The room was in bad shape with wall paper coming off the walls. The drains in the showers did not work properly. In the add it says free Wi Fi but it did not work. The appliances in the kitchen are from the 70's and dirty. We stayed on the 9th floor and on several days had to take the stairs becuase the elevators did not work. Overall the room and resort are in bad shape, dirty. Not worth the money I paid to stay there."

"We stayed at the Waters Edge Resort for 5 days. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. I am glad we chose this smaller beach rather than Myrtle because it is smaller and more family oriented. We were not harrassed by police or bothered by the young loud rowdy party crowd. This place is nothing modern or fancy. Don't expect flat screen tvs, wi-fi or continental breakfast. The doors slam shut when it is windy and one of the the elevators was broken and crowded at times. The ocean front view makes up for all of that. It was absolutely beautiful. There is a restaurant, bar and shop on the hotel premises. The grocery store, beach shops and amusement places are all within 5 minutes so you don't need to leave the area if you don't want to. Our condo was very clean, although I can imagine that each unit is different so there is a little risk there. They did a good job of keeping the place and the beach areas clean. They have activities set up for the children during the week and we (adults) were allowed to drink in the hot tub/pool side while watching the children. The location of the sun and the ocean makes this a great place for spiritual meditation for those into it like myself."

"When we arrived, i found underwear hanging in the bathroom. The bath tub was dirty so we call housekeeping to clean it. They didnt end up cleaning it until the next day and we had to remind them multiple times before they actually came. One thing that surprised me was that you had to wash your own towels. At every other hotel, they usually give you new ones everyday. The overall room was okay. Everything was outdated like everyone says. The balconies are really close to each other. I could literally climb into our neighbors balcony if i wanted to. The pool and hot tub were decent.... but not as pretty as it appears in the pictures. The gift shop sucks. A lot of the stuff looked like it had been there for years; there was dust on most things. The only 2 things that i liked about this hotel was that it was directly facing the beach and the super nice and friendly people working at the front desk. Overall, I wouldnt recommend it; it wasnt worth the money."

"I spent 6/2/12 - 6/9/12 in room 1110. Overall the room was excellent with two minor exceptions. My teenagers were disappointed that there was not a flat screen TV (or a bigger TV) in the living room. And the door would not shut unless you lifted it up. Again, these were minor. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The balcony was large enough for all 4 of us to sit out there comfortably. The room was updated except for the previously noted. The kitchen was very nice was was the bedroom and bathrooms. The room was very clean. As for the resort itself, it is outdated and needs some work. The elevators were good except on Thursday when one was being used by movers. For the price that I paid, I would gladly go back again and would recommend this to anyone. The beach was great even though we had a couple of days of cool rain. The only complaint about the staff was the genltman guarding the pools. He constantly was asking us to show our wrist bands and or room keys. It got a little annoying but I understand and appreciate what he was trying to do."

"I would have to say I really enjoyed the oceanfront view from the room, but I promise it felt and looked like a very bad motel. The furniture was very outdated, the tv's did not have remotes, and the drawers in the bedrooms did not open so we kept our clothes in our suitcase. The internet was available by an ethernet cord that was attached to a big box on the table. We wasnt sure about the linens as there was no housekeeping so getting clean sheets was not an option unless you did laundry. We were told there was a gym at the hotel and when going in there was a treadmill, and excercise bike along with a small weight machine(with only a few weights) and that is all. The cost of the room and the oceanfront view kept us quiet for the remainder of our stay."

"For Mothre's Day I took my mother to Waters Edge resort. I did alot of searching on the internet before deciding to book with Waters Edge. It was the greatest thing I could have done! First of all if you are looking for excitment you need to move on. This is an older faciliity about a mile or two below Garden City Peer. The unit we had was out dated but everything that we needed worked great. It is directly on the ocean and I mean ocean front!! I read a preevious review that had said they were on the beach in 2 minutes and that was what sold me. She was right We were in a condo on the first floor and on the sand in 2 minutes. This is an older facility as I said however, it is very claen, they clean the hot tubs and pools every morning. There were a lot of smokers there but not one cig. butt on the ground and no trash on the beach. The unit we had was right above the pool and we sat each morning and watched the sun rise and the pelicans fly in and land in the ocean right in front of us. The gift shop is small however, its like a little general store with everything you might really need. Just opened is the Oceanside Cafe and Wayne is the owner. He is very curtious and friendly and suerves up a great omlet!! It's worth making the trip out of your room to visit the cafe! Thank you for the service Wayne. While your there go towards Murreills Inlet and visit the Lazy Gator, just watch out for the ants if you take pictures on the gator outside. It's totally worth the drive to visit them for gifts. I fell in love with this place the moment I stepped inside and they offered me a free water. Then there is the Backyard Birds shop going straight through on 17 towards Pawleys Island. This shop has anytype of yard object you could possibly want. I bought the biggest wind chimes in my life here. Just wish they had a website!! From windspinners to yard ornamnets to stepping stones and bird houses..they have it here and you will love it. I am hooked and will be back next year for 2 weeks."

"As it happened our unit (505) was very updated & clean. My only small complaint would be the out of date bathrooms .(both). The view was great. Judging by the other reviews, we simply lucked out by getting a decent condo. The bar was'nt exactly a lounge,but a standard bar. The waterfront restaurant was simply a takeout sandwich place, but acceptable. Neither is something I need for my stay. The pool area was cleaned every morning & so were the elevators. We would be happy to stay there again, however based on other reviews, I would be very concerned. "

"I got what we paid for. The condo is old and is showing its age. The parking garage, elevators and pool area were always clean, but its in need of a serious renovation. Instructions on where to go, what to do with garbage etc would have been helpful. I would not recomned the unit we stayed in. The mauve carpet was filthy, the furniture was filthy. I went to use the extra blankets to put on the couch because I would not sit on it and they were filthy. The wall paper was stapled back up, and the bathrooms were old, very worn out and just not clean. The view was great, easy access to the beach. The great bartender in the very used bar, talked us out of leaving because I was seriously grossed out. We met a condo owner and would consider staying again but not in unit 902. We loved the area - Murels inlet was fantastic."

Although it is located in Murrells Inlet (which i was not familiar with) I figured by the photographs on the website, that it would be a decent place to stay, But boy was I wrong. When we pulled up, the outside of the building was very nicely lit up, and the parking decks were very clean. The staff that was working at the time I checked in were nice and friendly. When we got on the elevator to go to out room, it smelt like an ashtray. I'm not a smoker, and i have nothing against anyone who smokes, but the smell was AWFUL. when we arrived on the 15th floor, our room door had dents and scratches all over it. When we entered the room, we walked down the hallway and turned on the lights and it was one sight i wish i would never see again. The microwave looked like it was from the 60's, as so did the stove. The refridgearator has rust all over the side and bottom. Every receptacle outlet was screwed onto the wall crooked. The carpet had lots of stains, the walls were scratched up with marks all over them. The couches had dark spots on them. The coffee table was scratched everywhere, the lighting fixture above the outdated kitchen table only had two lightbulbs that worked. The lighting was awful. it was so dim and creepy at night due to the lack of lighting in the room. The TV also had about 12 channels. The Bedroom was half way decent, the closet doors were wobbly and a huge gap between the door and ceiling. The master bathoom was the cleanest place. EXCEPT the mold on the shower curtian. The washer and dryer had rust spots all over it and were WAY out of date. a HUGE hole in the wall in the laundry area, and the floor was peeled up, with dust everywhere. The view was the only nice thing about the room. The lower level rooms ( From what we could see walking back to the hotel from the beach) were alot nicer, with ceiling fans and mirrors and more up to date furniture. Oh, and not once during our stay did we get house keeping or FRESH towels. Needless to say, we spent more money than we planned by staying out and doing as much as possible so we could avoid coming back to the hotel room. That was my first and LAST time at that resort and I've learned my lesson about jumping on the best deal on a hotel again. The hotel needs to update their photographs of ALL the rooms there is. because the ones that gave us a visual of the room we booked were absolutly misleading and not what our room looked like what so ever."

"I was a little worried about a nice looking hotel being so cheap but I took the risk and I am glad that I did. Being able to stand on the balcony and watch the sunset and sunrise was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I decided to take our kids to the beach and some of the attractions in S.C. The condo that we stayed in needed some touch-ups but that expected from a 40 year old hotel. I wasn't really fond of the stains in the carpet and the old looking furniture. Everything in the condo worked fine and the parking was great. It was very quiet at night and even in the day. The staff was really nice and even having food delivered was great. I would definitely stay at this hotel anytime I come to S.C."

"This hotel had the biggest and best oceanfront balcony I've ever been on -- and I've been to hotels in Myrtle Beach at least 50 times. The balcony contained a full length chaise lounge and several chairs - and was twice as big as any other oceanfront balcony I've ever seen. The condo was spacious and nice, although the carpets were badly stained. The interior of the room was quiet (although sitting on the balcony at night, you could hear music from what I thought was the bar). All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely return if I could get another bargain price like the one from this trip!"

"The best part about this place was that it was on the ocean. Our room had a very musty scent. The carpet was stained, as well as the furniture. "Our 1st impression of this place was wow. The grounds looked clean, the parking garage was well lit, and the reception desk was manned by friendly souls. Our room was what one would expect in a 40 year old condo. It was in good working order but showed some age. Most items where purely superficial. Every thing that mattered was in good shape. The overall cleanliness was around a 7. The view from the all ocean front balconies was a 10! The outdoor pool, the indoor pool, the outdoor hot tub, and the indoor hot tub were in great shape. There were kept clean while we were there. The outdoor furniture and indoor furniture were in GREAT shape. The weight room looked in good repair. The bar there looked to be well used. The gift shop was a tad small and was closed during our stay. The elevator worked well during our stay. The internet was ok at best. The parking garage was in good shape and offered enough spaces. The lines were well marked. This condo offered what I say was the best entrance to the ocean that I have ever seen. We could literally be on the ocean in 2 minutes from our room. When returning we could be back in about the same. The staff here were pleasant to deal with. I would stay here again in a heart beat."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Water's Edge, the kitchen was big enough and the living room was very spacious and comfortable, and very clean, having 2 baths was very nice for this one bedroom suite. We were very suprised when stepping out on the balcony it seem like we were right above the water and sand, it was very awesome, if you want a very quite and relaxed vacation try the Water's Edge we were very pleased, along with everything else the staff was very helpful and friendly."

Our stay at the Water Edge Resort was great! The staff were very nice /helpful, always willing to assist. The resturant personel owner was very kind and helpful, Leslie I think gave us a name of a resturant that was great. Our room was nice everything worked 'No problems', plenty of room. Grounds crew, maintance, life guard all were friendly /helpful. Could use two more elevators or even one more, however we managed. The views of the ocean was fantastic, the beaches were surprisingly, clean inspite of how many people use them on a daily bases. You have a system 'KEEP UP', We would recommend the Waters Edge, and we would like to come back. Thanks to all for making our vacation relaxing, /comfortable."

"Room was dirty, pretty sure the bathroom had black mold growing under the wall paper by the shower. The walls were so dirty they looked like they had been part of a crime scene investigation. Elevator broke while we were there. The beach was awesome. Would not return."

"I booked this room the last minute so it worked out great. As many have said the facility is dated however the rooms are very spacious and clean, more of a condo. The view is trmendous and the beach access can't be beat. With the kitchen unit we were able to prepare a very nice meal with out having to go out and fight the crowds. We did have one complaint and that was with the Life Guard Natzi, we couldn't go in past our knees, I know it was because of the storm coming in however it was a little much. Also there is a great family atmosphere here, we met some really great families."

"ALL SUITES HAVE OCEANFRONT BALCONIES. SUITES ARE LARGE AND SPACIOUS, WE STAYED IN A 1 BR 2 BTHRM WHICH HAD A FULL SIZE BED IN THE BR AS WELL AS TWO FULL SIZE PULL OUT COUCHES IN LIVING ROOM. "We stayed the 1st week of February at the Waters Edge Resort in Murrels Inlet on the south end of the Myrtle Beach area. The resort is getting a little old but seems to be pretty well kept up. The Pool and Whirlpools were clean and nice and the staff seems nice. These are individually owned Condo's and the quality varies by unit. We got lucky and stayed in a very nice 1 bedroom unit. Other than below average temperatures we enjoyed our stay very much. It was our 1st experience with Bookit.com and everything was as promised. Thanks."
