What an adorable little place we stayed in. I always travel with my Labradoodle, Maci, and couldn't have stayed at a nicer place. We were only there for two nights on our way to Florida. Stayed in Sunsuite 527. Was picture perfect and clean as can be. While just an efficiency, it was the perfect size with a full size refrigerator and stove top, should I had wanted to cook. Would I come back, ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Thanks for being dog friendly.

Fripp Island does not have high rise condos with bars and big night life, so if that is what you are looking for, this is the wrong place. It does has long stretches of quiet beaches, herds of deer, dolphin pods off shore, salt marshes with herons and red winged black birds, kayaking and crabbing. You can play tennis, golf, can bicycle. So, if you want to rent a beach house, chill out on a low country beach and enjoy the riches of nature, this is your place. I think the houses on Tarpon ha... Read more

I go to Fripp Island at least once a year. The island is the perfect place to kick back and relax at the beach. I have also taken my friend there to play golf and the kids also enjoy it. Its the perfect place for sports, tennis and golf or romantic weekend. Lots of beautiful wild life there.

We go to Fripp a few times a year and recently booked through the resort for the first time. Due to a mechanical failure we were placed in a different unit. We were a pittle disappointed in that we didn't feel it was the same level unit, Fripp made suitable concessions and we were happy with what we got. Additionally both came with golf cart and more than enough amenities cards. We appreciated what they did for our change in units and will book with them again!

My brother went to parris island to be a marine! OOrahhh! So the whole family wanted to go down to watch him graduate. We booked a place here. I loved it!! We plan on having another trip back here. The beach was private & quiet. There are deer on the property that will walk right up to you. However you are not suppose to feed the deer, if you get caught you could be fine for it. This place is great get away. There really is not anything around, so make sure to stop into places on your way in.

This year we stayed at 108 Davis Love. Its a great house - Platinum level on the Marsh side of the island. There were a few housekeeping issues and maintenance issues but nothing that would spoil the week. I am dissappointed that Fripp has done away with the Frequent Fripper discounts. They have also changed the dates of the prime season so now it costs us more when we go. However - We remain loyal to Fripp as a vacation destination even though I dont feel they remain loyal to those of us who k... Read more

Fripp Island is my happy place. My family and I always enjoy our time there. I hope to retire there someday. Time slows down and any stress I have just melts away as soon as I enter the island. Beautiful beaches, neat wildlife, great entertainment, things for kids of all ages to do, Camp Fripp,.....it is all top notch!

We've been going to Fripp Island for many years (probably 12 times in about 14 years). The whole ambience is great: all properties close to the ocean; some on the ocean, relaxed way of life, most folks drive golf carts instead of cars, wildlife, water, golf, etc. After this many years, this year may be the last. Unfortunately, I think Fripp Island is a victim of its own success. What we observed this year was, in addition to many more people, many unsupervised young people "on the prowl", e... Read more

Great location, home is beautiful (446 Tarpon) but the management/cleaning company is substandard at best. I have stayed in cheap hotels that were cleaner than this home's bedrooms were upon our arrival. First, the kitchen floor was sticky when we arrived. I brushed it off, wanting to get unpacked to enjoy the beach. When I walked into the bathroom in my bedroom, the towel bar was on the floor, and a heavy, wooden curtain rod in another room was 3/4 of the way pulled out of the wall. The ... Read more

My wife and I have been vacationing on Fripp for over 10 years. The entire island is gated and ensures to the peacefulness and slow pace of this reclusive island life. You'll find many deer that wander about the island and this adds to the island's unique mystique. Much of the island is under developed and wildlife abounds. Most of the islands inhabitants and vacationers drive about the island on golf carts. This is in-and-of-itself part of the exquisite charm. There is much to do for adults a... Read more

Absolutely the best beach vacation we've ever had, and we've stayed up and down the coast of South Carolina. The atmosphere is unbelievable, the views are breath taking, and nature comes to your back steps. The beaches are wide open and not crowded, and there is always room at any of the pools. The ice cream shop located in the food court is our family favorite. Truly a place to visit year after year. Your family will not be disappointed.

Like someone else on Trip Advisor noted, Fripp Island has become a victim of it's own success. We have been there probably 8-10 times and have seen the prices go up, and the resort become less and less accommodating for guests. I understand the reasoning behind the amenity cards for the pools and amenities, but they never work. From day one ours did not work. Why not issue a wrist band or something to get in the pools? I don't understand paying for a card to spend money in their restauran... Read more

Fripp Island was spectacular!!! The beaches were clean, spacious and free of crowds. The sand was fine and the waves were perfect for boogie boarding. We loved riding the golf cart around the island. The deer were plentiful as well as the large variety of birds. We also saw several alligators and Dolphins. This was such a perfect vacation for our family.
