It was clean and kept well. The staff was exceedingly friendly and the breakfast, which was included, was good. All in all a great place for the money. We would go back again! If there was any drawback it would be the door lock as the door was difficult to open. We told the staff on checkout and they said they would take care of it right away.

This was a nice place for a stop over. Pretty pricy if you don't advance book. Not worth the big bucks. Rooms are very small. Don't plan on parking any vehicle with a very big trailer here. There are places to go eat within walking distance which is nice and it is very close to I95.

Had to call 3 times before phone pick-up to make reservation. Clerk unable to process Choice Visa even when bank associate told her account was in good standing. Had her call GM. She gave inaccurate description of problem & GM refused to talk to me. Told he arrives at 7:00 AM. A lie-he was scheduled for 8:30, after I had to leave. Ad claims "new rooms" but mattresses appeared to be VERY worn. Pass on this property. Hotel has a pool but it is not in use. Try staying in Florence (about 20 miles so... Read more

Paid $89 for the same room and quality I expect for about $60. -Good hot breakfast--limited selection -Firm mattresses--loved it -Bathrooms could do with some of those shower curtains that curve out--very small -Clean rooms -Big windows--access rooms from outside walkway. -Parking a little tight

I booked online for $70. when i went to check in after 9pm and asked if i could get a king room instead of 2 queens since it was just myself. The girl said yes but it would be $89 a night. I have never been to a hotel where they would charge me an extra $19 for a differrent bed, especially when it was not a busy night? This was the only semi decent motel around. The room was updated. New mattresses, bedding and furniture so that was a huge plus. I am not sure if all the rooms have been up... Read more

My parents and I stop at this hotel every other year on our way to Myrtle Beach to stay a night. It's always great. Idk how else to describe it. It's not on par with the Hilton, of course. But the people are friendly and care about your stay.

I recently had to drive to Garner NC on business. It's about 1300 miles roundtrip. I had planned to just make the trip and get some sleep at home, but I'm not as young as I once was. I badly needed to rest when I arrived on Dillon SC. I noticed most of the hotels looked pretty old. The hotel across the street was offering 35.00 per night rooms. I asked the clerk how much and she said 100.00 for a king. I thought this was too much honestly. I ended up paying 95.00 with AAA. I was so surprised by ... Read more

We had to evacuate Florida on the next to the last day of our vacay because of Hurricane Matthew and decided on stopping half way at South of the Border. This was the highest rated hotel that was still available. The front desk person was helpful and the rooms were satisfactory. Breakfast was on par with most continental breakfasts. They had smoking rooms and pets were also allowed. Had a fridge but no microwave. Definitely not a 4 star hotel but good enough to sleep and get back on the ro... Read more

We stayed at Quality Inn in Dillon SC for five nights from Oct . 4th to Sunday , Oct. 9th. We were waiting to get into Myrtle Beach. The staff at the hotel were the best I've ever come across in my many years of travel. They were so friendly and helpful. The room was quite comfortable as well.

Ended up picking this hotel, one of the few available in the area because of the floods caused by hurricane Matthew. Room left a lot to be desired, except for the pillows. I felt I had to wear shoes for the way the carpet felt. The refrigerator was old and needed to be replaced. WiFi was a joke: pages were loaded VERY slowly, if at all. The breakfast buffet was one of the worst I have ever seen for what concerns choices and quality of items offered. NEVER again!!! and would NOT suggest anyone t... Read more
