After arriving very late, check in was simple and quick. Room was clean. The continental breakfast had plenty to offer and was really good. The coffee was strong which was excellent. Overall great experience.

The rooms and hotel are nice. They have an outdoor pool. The one drawback is the driveway into the hotel is very hard to see when you're traveling 55 mph down the highway. Also it has huge craters in the drive that never get patched. We've been going there since fall of 2015, and they never have fixed these huge holes in the pavement even though we have complained. Just be careful especially if it has been raining because you can't see how deep the pits are until your tire hits one. There ... Read more

Got this room for a great price and it was a great stay! Very spacious and comfortable. Went to go book again for next vacation and prices were way too high. Wish they could give some type of rewards stay! Great hotel

This hotel had clean rooms and staff is very well trained. Money would be well spent to upgrade the furnishings and decor especially in the rooms. Great to see that the people here really care about there guests.

Certainly no 5 star property, but very suitable for a few days. There is lots of places to eat and shop nearby. The trafic on Hwy 501 can be really bad, so avoid it during evening rush hour. A lot cheaper than staying at the beach, but the beach is close enough to leave at 10 and return by 3. Far less traffic.

Stayed one night only. Hotel staff was very friendly and responsive. Room was clean. Toilet had recurring flushing problems; was offered to be reassigned to another room. No sanitation issue observed in providing the complimentary breakfast. Recommend this lodging accommodation to others.

It is definitely not a 5 star hotel with all the upgrades but it wasn't a bad stay at all. The room was clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. Needed a place to stay for a night and this place did the job.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel it was way better than expected because this was a last-minute trip it was hard to find a decent hotel close to the beach for a decent price but Comfort Suites did not disappoint When we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful young lady by the name of Michelle at the front desk she was very polite and had awesome customer service we ended up paying less than expected for our room and we received the exact room that we booked online we booked a king suite ... Reservations were made weeks in advance due to location near Coastal Carolina. Called to inform hotel of late arrival, rude clerk said to call back later when night shift came in. Arrived after midnight, tired. Only to find bugs near entrance to room. After opening the room door the reeking smell of cat urine knocked me over. I've owned rental property and know this HORRIBLE smell. I returned to front desk and found another bug in lobby. Asked for another room, hotel was full. Clerk was unable ... Read more

My daughter and I stayed here while attending orientation at CCU. I chose it because of the location, hence the one star rating. The hotel is old and run down. Most of the furniture in the room was cracked or damaged in some way. The curtains and linens were stained. We had to shower with the door opened due to a faulty light in the bathroom. The free breakfast was gross. The eggs were a substitute mixture of some sort and the sausage was all freezer burned. The worst part is that my daughter ... Read more

I try to keep my reviews honest and fair based on the area where I am understanding that massive tourist areas wreak havoc on hotels. This hotel is due for a remodel, the mattresses weren't anything to brag about. On the plus side, our original room's a/c unit wasn't blowing very cold and Michelle put us in another room that was much better. Thanks! The driveway coming in has a massive pothole and is in terrible repair, but the parking lot is fine. Weird. (not that that affected my stay). ... Read more

I would say this hotel is average. Definitely not anything luxurious... but you're not paying for luxury. There were things we didn't like... such as smokey smell in room, sofa bed still had dirty used sheets from a previous guest, breakfast left a lot to be desired, sofa bed mattress terrible and literally pulling apart, and in general kind of dirty. BUT, it was a great price, staff was nice, and good enough for a few nights. The staff said they are getting all new furniture in September so tha... Read more

Let me start by saying that I read a lot of reviews for other hotels before selecting this one. This hotel is very clean. The bed is amazing. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly especially Katlyn (she was awesome). They had fresh coffee 24/7 and even made fresh lemonade on those hot days. We loved it so much we extended our stay. The hotel had no bugs and the guest seemed to be people who were mostly there for weddings so they were in and out. The room was clean, the bathroom was... Read more

My family was very happy with our stay and would have no problem returning. It is not a 5 star location, but the staff and price made any issues acceptable. James from maintenance was OUTSTANDING!!!!!

The first room we checked into had a very strong smell of urine possibly from previous guests with pets, I'm not sure. The bathroom was not cleaned and the ac unit could not cool the room below 78. This only made the odor worse due to the high humidity in SC. In addition the fabric on the couch was so torn that the stuffing was coming out and falling on the floor. The staff moved us to another room which was even worse. The musty smell in this room was even stronger, only one light in the r... Read more

We visited here in 2009, and of course, when the need arose, I happily remembered this year, 2016, that I wanted to check in here again. Two queen beds and a pull out couch available, this made our visit a little less crowded with 3 of us. Son was moving in to Coastal Carolina University, and there was much to do. We did not have to worry about the place we stayed in. It was a clean and comfortable room, with a small fridge and microwave. The only suggestion would be to fix a tear in the cus... Read more

The fourth-floor room provided to us for a one-night stay was clean and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable along with the pillows. This hotel is about 10 minutes from Myrtle Beach and is close to several shopping and dining establishments. Recommend try to get a room facing the road instead of the woods. Our room was facing the woods and on a cloudy day, the little window was inadequate to provide light. Just like all Comfort Inn Suites, this one has the standard free breakfast items. T... Read more

I stayed at the Comfort Suites while visiting my son at CCU on Family Weekend. My primary requirements were clean, comfortable, safe for mom traveling solo, and close to CCU since the boy would be driving me around. Couldn't ask for friendlier staff and my second floor King room was clean and comfortable. It was also more spacious than I expected. It's only about a mile to Coastal and about 15 minutes from the airport. I generally stay closer to the beach or near Broadway when I visit, but I... Read more
