We recently overnighted at the Red Roof Inn , in Santee, SC. The place is quite small and has been undergoing a full refurbishment recently. Despire being right on the main road the quiet at night was almost eerie, Our room was more than adequate in size, with a very comfortable bed, and a new flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom was exceptional with plenty of hot water for showering. The complimentary breakfast consisted of biscuits, eggs, sausag... Read more

Stayed over last night traveling NY to FL. My room was nice, bed comfortable. Around the bed needed vacuuming. The bathroom still had exposed drywall and no trim. I stayed last May when it first became a Red Roof, I can see some improvements. Quiet and well lite.

We mostly stay at Red Roof Inns because of their pet policy, that being said this is the absolute worst one we have ever stayed at. It was filthy! And the "remodeling" job was atrocious. We booked a king "superior" room which we were assured had "just" been remodeled. Well there was no trim in the bathroom whatsoever, and it was so bad that you could look right into the ceiling area, which gave us the feeling that we were being watched. The comforter and carpet had stains all over them. I co... Read more

WiFi was pretty fast, many eating places from choices from. The groundstaff look well upkept. The breakfast was also good, eggs and make your own waffles. We will stop here on the way back to Maine.

I stayed at Red Roof after reading these reviews and for the price it was the best place to crash for the night. First thing I notice that the air wasn't on so I had to sit in a hot room till it cooled which took pretty much about 5 hours before it was comfortable. The next morning I woke up to see a cock roach on the floor...the only thing good was it was dead. I would have rated it lower if it was alive, but still disgusting. I would spend an extra 30 bucks and stay somewhere else.

I had an amazing deep sleep with my stay here. The beds are amazing and I would know, I travel for a living staying in hotels every single night. I've stayed in every hotel you can think of in my travels from the most expensive to the less expensive. Compared to my sleep at all the other hotels combined this hotel hands down wins the best sleep award!!!! I don't know what they did to my bed but I slept like a baby folks! I did not even turn over in my sleep once. I slept until 12 pm that's how g... Read more

I was worried after reading different visitors reviews and because we have cats, we felt this worked for us. IT DID. Cats are free. This place is clean, front desk very helpful and friendly. VERY close to restaurants. Right across the street is IGA and Pizza Hut (I will review it) It has outside doors which I normally don't prefer, but with cats, I understand. Nice size frig (bigger then normal) It has a microwave also. It's RIGHT off the highway. There are about 4 other hotels right here a... Read more

The doors to the bathroom had the wood coming off like they had been exposed to water damage. When we got there the clerk was outside on her cell phone and didn't come in until I went a got her attention after about 10 min. The AC wasn't on, so it took about 1 hour to get the room cooled off. the breakfast has sausage that was COLD like it just came out of the refrigerator , the same with the eggs. there was nobody in the eating area or office and there were a number of keys people left on the... Very much an older motel. Bathroom door stuck, bed spread had stains, beds were extremely hard. AC worked good tho. Eating places close, no pool. Was there 2 weeks for work, the lady that checked me out didn't know how to get a receipt for both weeks for me.

The prices was reasonable. Got here late but lucky they had one room left. The room was clean and big, most of the things in room suckered as bed, furniture, tub things like that look new. Don't know if it was or not but looked brand new. Front desk is very friendlyoung, jay gave us a few places to choice that were still open. The breakfast had plenty of selection, definitely will be back here.

Hubby booked. We checked in, went to the room and left within 10 minutes. Bathroom was dirty, fridge smelled like something went rotten, stains on rugs, it was a dirty room. Bathroom had coving placed over large nails. Nails were painted white-coving was brown. Just don't book this unless you have absolutely no other choice in the entire universe. They could not have passed a health inspection. One positive is that they immediately refunded my money.

We stopped at The Red Roof Inn on our way home to Maryland from Florida. We had been driving all day and was ready for a good night's sleep. Check in was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the breakfast the next morning. Very happy with our visit.

We stayed there on Sept 29, 2016. All the corners of the room looked dirty, the bathroom walls and floor edging were a mess. The air conditioner turns off and on all night waking you up. The desk chair was rickety. Bed was comfortable.

I didn't stay here. I would NEVER EVER stay here. During Huricane evacuations they jack up a $60 room to $615. Let's put these immoral business practices into bankruptcy. They deserve to be jailed and I hope that happens.
