My wife and I have stayed at the Inn at USC on a number of occasions. We find that the location is phenomenal, service is excellent and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable from the front desk to the workers that take care of breakfast every day (which is a full complimentary breakfast). This past stay was during graduation weekend and the hotel was very active but the friendliness of the staff and quality of service never suffered.

Our family recently stayed for four nights and quickly felt at ease in the warm embrace of Columbia, and of the staff at the Inn at USC. Our room was nice and comfortable, similar in size and amenities to other nation-wide hotel chains (coffee machine and mini fridge, comfortable beds, free wifi), but our view was of the parking garage across the street, the toiletries aren't as nice as at other hotels (no shower gels either), and the towels were a little on the thin side as opposed to the fluf... We really enjoyed it overall. The property is beautiful. The only thing that could use improvement is the bathroom wallpaper (peeling in places), a fan installed in the bathroom and the friendliness of the Front Desk Clerks. It wouldn't keep me from returning though.

Great stay - great service - great breakfast - great room. Unfortunately, Wyndham's lack of attention to crediting points (although I contacted Inn at USC twice resulted in my having to book a stay with Marriott this week that would have been booked through Wyndham. Also, I would not follow up with Wynham because of difficulties during the past in communication with Wyndham personnel in Mumbai or Bangalore.

This is an excellent hotel. Very well maintained. Great location. Offered a superior evening social buffet. They offer a van shuttle to take you downtown where Columbia offers the best choice of restaurants anywhere. But, the custom cooked to order breakfast omelets were the best surprise. The only con was paying for parking + fee that I found on the billing. I would highly recommend the Inn at USC for any stay in Columbia.

We were making a stopover in Columbia to shorten our drive the following day to our final destination. Relying on tripadvisor reviews, we were not disappointed with this stay which turned out even better than expected. Very clean, well kept grounds, comfortable bed/pillows, quiet in all respects, great staff, surprise happy hour spred and over-the-top complimentary breakfast selection. The only improvements could be at least mentioning the parking fee (which was a reasonable $10 given usual city... Read more

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the USC area (my husband is an alum). The hotel is incredibly convenient to campus and walkable to Five Points (probably walkable to other places too if it wasn't as hot as it was during our visit). We were lucky to have a large two room suite--it was very clean and comfortable. I have two small quibbles with the hotel. There is a $10 additional charge (per night) for parking. It's all self-park, and I find it a little odd that with a lot adjacen... Read more

Cooked to order waffles and omelets along with every other breakfast choice imaginable. Free van transportation anywhere in town with kind, courteous drivers especially Joey and Quentin who even gave us restaurant suggestions. The front desk staff is A+ all the way. This hotel is clean, friendly and convenient to both the USC campus but also Columbia and Five Points. The shuttle is readily available or the staff is ready with directions and recommendations. The evening happy hour is great with appetizers and a good selection of libations. Although there is no restaurant on site the complimentary breakfast offers a wide array of hot and cold food and top notch service.

We stayed one night. It was very noisy. One couple rowed for hours, there were lots of (noisy) older children around And we were overcharged at checkout (?10 parking), despite pointing out that we booked inclusive of FREE PARKING. There was also an extra charge debited to our visa account the day AFTER we had settled the bill & left-with no reason/justification for it.

Great location in the heart of Columbia. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Rooms were clean; however, bathroom was very small. Hotel was quiet and they offered a good breakfast. I have wanted to stay at this hotel many times over the past four years when my daughters were in nursing school but it is very popular and also booked. If you want to stay here book very early in advance.

I have already recommended the hotel several times and look forward to staying there again soon.

The Inn at USC was the backup hotel for a convention I attended at the Columbia Convention Center. Overall I was very pleased I was not able to stay at the "official" hotel. The Inn at USC is not your ordinary big box hotel. The common areas are a historic home with the room's built in a U shape around them. The included breakfast was excellent and the manager's reception in the evenings provided a much needed adult beverage. Since the Convention Center was about a mile away, and walking in... Read more

The accomodations were okay but the bed was not comfortable and was too high for me to be able to sit on the edge of it which was surprising because we were in a handicap accessible room. Breakfast was great but I'd say that was the only perk. I was traveling with my husband on a business trip and so was often at the hotel for hours with nothing to do.
