The hotel was a little older than I thought. They had a morning continental breakfast, but I was not able to use it because I left to early for work. I was surprised to find out the hotel had no washer or dryer, this would have been nice to know when I made reservation, my fault. A little difficult to get out of drive, traffic at certain times of day is very heavy.

The staff at this hotel is great. They went out of their way to fulfill any requests we made, from locating a bunch of rooms close together to granting a very early check in for someone coming from overseas. The rooms are fine and the free breakfast has enough choices to satisfy pretty much anyone. Great price and service for a decent hotel.

The rooms are very nice, but the hotel is right beside the railroad tracks and several trains came by through the night. Recommend rooms with lower numbers to be further away from tracks. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodated our needs. Breakfast buffet was good and a nice variety.

We came to this hotel for the ACC Rowing Championships. Be aware because they won't tell you this...there are trains that go by the hotel, very close to the hotel, and they are loud. Lights over sink were dim making it hard for shaving. The beds have blockers under them that are out too far causing you to kick them constantly - wear your shoes to save your toes!

We stayed in this hotel for a college visit to Clemson. There were quite a few other families there for the same reason. The hotel is very convenient to the university and yet it is easy to get to. If you are a member of HiltonHonors you can choose you room when you check in ahead of time. As other posters have noted, there are train tracks behind the hotel. Higher rooms are likely to be quieter. If you are looking for a room that is on the side nearest the lake, look for the odd numbered ... Read more

This was an OK hotel experience. Room was relatively clean and the service was decent, but nothing extraordinary. There were a couple of bugs in our room (silverfish). The breakfast was all right, but most of the food seemed microwavable and fatty. Coffee was not good at all. But it ended up being pretty good for what we needed.

We stayed here with our 3 kids and it was excellent! The room was larger than standard hotel rooms with plenty of room for our pack and play. The bathroom was also roomy which was great for all of us to get ready. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of options for our whole family and was excellent quality. We really enjoyed this hotel and would highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying here. The pool, though somewhat small, is adequate, and the room was clean and nice with a blackout curtain (needed at night due to bright lights across from the hotel that shine into the room). We would definitely stay here again. Breakfast has many choices from on the spot cooked waffles to eggs to oatmeal/cereal. Coffee was acceptable. And surprise surprise, the PCs and printer just worked for printing boarding passes (so often these are flakey/broken - or I have bad ... Read more

Let me explain my title.. Me and my girlfriend were in Clemson headed home from a long trip. I asked her if she'd like to stay in Clemson for tonight and we will pick up tomorrow. I pull into Hampton Inn and i proceed to inquiry about the rooms. The man working the deask tells me he has a room but its a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. My eyes brightened I asked "jacuzzi?" he said "yea man, I'll even run you a deal for the night since you're leaving in the morning". After getting into our room and... Read more

Nice staff but need to improve phone service (busy signal alot) staff say they will call you back but they did not, left an item in my room and called a few hours later to report it. It took two days of calling and sent a local to check in person if they found it. They had not.

This was our third year at this Hampton Inn and every year we had a great experience. The room was comfortable and bedding was great. The bathrooms were very clean. There are plenty of clean towels in the bathroom. Pool was nice, but not enough seating for big crowds.

We booked rooms for our wedding party and everything went really well. The only glitch was one of the rooms seemed small and we had lots of "stuff" related to the wedding. Other than that, the location was convenient, breakfast was great and it was quiet.

Disappointing, small beds, understaffed, usually will pay extra for Hampton accommodations but did not feel they hit the mark. Very clean hotel and a great location - minutes away from campus but just found a few things below the usual standard.

I spent 8 nights at this hotel. I booked online and chose my room. When I got to the hotel very late 12:30 p.m. due to airport weather delays, they told me the key to my room did not work and offered me the same layout on a different floor. I was told to check back the next day, which I did, only to learn they still did not get the key to work. It was my 4th day at the hotel, I came back to the room to find my door was un-latched. No one to greet at check in, had to wait ten minutes. Then only received help when I called the front desk from the front desk and someone finally came. The room was ok, the toilet was dirty, had a ring around it and had not been cleaned properly in some time. The shower had black mold around all the edges. The furniture was stained. The sink did not drain. I called ahead and asked the front desk which was their best room as I was using online check-in and this was the room I was given. I... Read more

Personnel attitude at check in left something to be desired. I was obviously an annoyance to them. One of the light bulbs over the vanity was burned out. Could not see to put on makeup for our family event. The sink did not drain. That was a big mess with two of us brushing our teeth. I could not take a bath as the drain cover would not close. I can't imagine that housekeeping didn't notice these things. Hopefully these issues will be taken care of and others will not have the same... Read more

Can't go wrong with a Hampton Inn. This one was all-around on par! Great location, staff, cleanliness, etc. Shaun, the manager on duty, was amazing--exceeding our expectations in professionalism, courtesy, and assistance! This property was easy to find and well located. It was a typical Hampton, which is generally a good thing. There is a railroad track along the back side of the property, and when I heard the first train roll by, I got concerned. My wife was immediately turned off when she saw the hotel had a "B" rating for their DHEC food safety rating. When we entered the hotel, it had a bad, sour smell like an old hotel. Our room had the same smell. This is not normally an issue when you are paying $149 a night. The issue may have stemmed from the air conditioning and the darkness in the rooms. The room was fine except the window did not have any sheer curtains. There was only one thick curtain that gave you two options: closed... Read more
