Second visit here. I would compare this to spending time in someone's condo then staying at a hotel. Stayed in a one bedroom suite with balcony on the older side of the property. Management needs to make some updates. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and definitely need to be changed out. Carpet was bunched up in the bedroom. Fingerprints and smudges all over the kitchen and dust on the hardwood floors. Balcony wasn't really useable because it overlooked other building ro... Read more

We eagerly looked forward to our stay at the Restoration based on all of the positive comments. The hotel is perfectly located in a small renovated old building and a larger new building. We were excited about the prospect of a centrally located hotel with local charm but new bones. While the place is beautiful and the staff are friendly, it seems like the hotel misses at every turn. The room was spacious with a large separate bath with a shower - incredible products from Beekmans. The maj... Read more

I originally booked the Restoration a few years ago because they had suites with 2 full bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room. They have since expanded, and have 1 bedrooms and flats. They also have a great spa, and a killer restaurant on the roof. I stay at several places in Charleston, but if the price is right, the Restoration is my go to spot.

We stayed at the Restoration with our young kids for New Years. The one bedroom suite was amazing . I wish would could live there!. The entire space looked out of a magazine yet was comfortable for our little ones. We loved the great staff that helped us plan places to visit for our kids as well as greats spots adults would like to eat. Mark was so great to our family . He even thought ahead for us and had our car waiting for us when we were leaving. The warm cookies and port wine at night are ... Read more

We stayed at the Restoration December 27th- January 1. We stayed in the two bedroom with a kitchen and sitting area. Our daughters are 15 and 18 so location right downtown among the shops was fabulous. The location also allowed us to split up during the day. We had trouble finding the hotel when we arrived at night, but when I called the front desk we were given directions and someone was standing outside to make sure we saw them. Everyone was very friendly, the room was beautiful and well appoi... Read more

This was an extremely attentive staff a beautiful hotel and a great location I lived in Charleston for a year and a half and I'll say that this is a gorgeous example of what Charleston is like. The decorations are amazing and all of the artwork is for sale. The spa treatments were to die for. 100% worth it.

Super location right off King Street & near all shopping. Most restaurants are walkable. Breakfast basket each morning left outside our door was good. Only downer its not available before 7:00 am so we missed it on our last day. Wine & cheese available in library between 5;00-6:00 each day. Nice touch. Rooms are good size with large bath and shower. Quirky bathroom sliding glass door was a strange choice. Concierge and front desk were terrific with ideas and suggestions.

The Restoration is a lovely upscale hotel in downtown Charleston. When I was doing research for our trip, I wanted a newer, fresh hotel located in downtown. The Restoration was a great pick! We requested the newly built addition, and were very happy with the room. It is lovely and the breakfast delivery each morning was a nice plus! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there during the week following Christmas, so the concierge was on vacation and not available, but Tamara... Read more
