My wife, son and I booked a 2 bedroom suite in the Restoration during our visit to Charleston. The suite was quite roomy with about 1300 sq. ft. complete with 2 & 1/2 baths, a full kitchen and very nice living room. The Restoration was a good location for our visit as it was within walking distance of many attractions and good restaurants and was a block away from the free historic district trolley system. One of the nice features was the breakfast basket included with the room fee. You orde... Read more

We were lucky enough to stay at the Restoration thanks to a Conde Nast award promo code I found thru TA to make the rates within our range. The hotel was beautiful, interesting and clean, with the biggest hotel rooms I've ever seen! Truthfully, it was much more than we need--including 1 1/2 baths and a washer/dryer--but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We especially loved the breakfasts that arrived via picnic basket. The fruit cups were among the best we've ever had, and the pastries were wonderfu... Read more

My wife and I spent four nights at the Restoration Hotel in Charleston from 4/27 to 5/1/2016. I agree with all the other positive reviews as the only real problem you will have here is getting a room as this place lives up to the hype and is very popular. The junior suite we had was very spacious and comfortable with real character-brick walls, nice amenities including a full size fridge loaded with complimentary soft drinks and flat and sparkling water plus a small sink, dishes, cutlery, glasse... This is a restored hotel in the old historic district of Charleston. The work done on the restoration has been top notch, with quality finishes and modern ideas to help keep the new travelers happy with the lighting, decor and a charming atmosphere. The staff are good, well-trained and they want to be very helpful. Great suites with plenty of room and multiple bathrooms for families needing convenience. A very good view from the top floor restaurant/bar. Saw some great thunderstorm displays whil... Read more

We booked a room in the newly built section of the hotel after switching our reservation from another hotel in Charleston. When we arrived, we were told that our room was "upgraded" and were not pleased to find that they had switched us to the old section of the hotel. It took a manager to give us the room we originally booked and after 20 minutes our bags had still not been brought up to the room. The concierge was running around the hotel delivering flowers and we flagged him down in the el... Read more
