Everyone went above and beyond. The room was beautiful and the restaurants were yummy. Breakfast was also scrumptious. Zero complaints. Also, I'm disabled and in a wheelchair. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful and helpful.

My husband and I stayed overnight in a king studio room. We were greeted by Kevin, the Valet (?) who took us on a tour once we checked in. He was energetic and amusing as he told us some of the history of The Restoration (but not over the top). We were dropping off our son at then Citadel for an overnight to see if he thought it was a good fit school wise for him. Prior to taking him there, he came up to see our room. He was jealous that he couldn't stay with us :) The room was immaculate. Ther... Read more

My wife and I got married in Charleston and wanted a place to stay for one night. We picked The Restoration and our room was absolutely beautiful, the staff was friendly, the balcony was amazing, and my wife and I loved it. The location is close to popular bars on King Street and not a far walk from East Bay Street. We weren't even able to experience the whole property but when we go back to Charleston we'll definitely stay again.

We had a brief but wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms and the Library were great, but what made our stay was the staff. We had the good fortune to meet and visit with two people during the evening wine/cheese hour. Tamara, the concierge, was a delight and Rob, the wine director, was as pleasant as he was knowledgeable. They were both a perfect example of great staff making for a great stay.

Great place to stay in Charleston. First class amenities, great location, free use of bikes...absolutely no complaints. The rooms were modern and updated with a certain charm to them. Definitely a place I would return to.

I was here for a weekend visit with family who live downtown and decided to stay at The Restoration as I had heard good things about it, I booked a suite which was the size of a 1 bedroom condo with a balcony outside. Very comfortable accommodations but there were a few nicks and dings to some of the furniture and appliances, The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast delivered to the door in a picnic basket was a nice touch. Not the least expensive option in town but very nice.

From calling the hotel to make reservations to the checkout procedure, it was a perfect experience. We could not have been more comfortable in our room. Very spacious. The bathroom was very large & the kitchenette in our room was nice to have over our 5 night stay. Our rate included breakfast which was delivered daily in a picnic basket! The location of The Restoration is fabulous with it being right in the heart of Charleston. No reason to have a car because the location is that great. And, if... Read more

Second visit here. I would compare this to spending time in someone's condo then staying at a hotel. Stayed in a one bedroom suite with balcony on the older side of the property. Management needs to make some updates. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and definitely need to be changed out. Carpet was bunched up in the bedroom. Fingerprints and smudges all over the kitchen and dust on the hardwood floors. Balcony wasn't really useable because it overlooked other building ro... Read more

We eagerly looked forward to our stay at the Restoration based on all of the positive comments. The hotel is perfectly located in a small renovated old building and a larger new building. We were excited about the prospect of a centrally located hotel with local charm but new bones. While the place is beautiful and the staff are friendly, it seems like the hotel misses at every turn. The room was spacious with a large separate bath with a shower - incredible products from Beekmans. The maj... Read more
