Not impressed. Was forced to stay there when all other hotels were booked Saturday night. No one acknowledged me for 7 minutes when checking in. I voiced it. I got a passive call 10 minutes later that offered no apologies or assistance. Lobby is nice; rooms like like they're in the 1970s. Threadbare covers on bed. I checked out the next morning.

This was our second visit to The Mills House. Loved it so much the first time, we came back. Great location, close to sightseeing and restaurants. Staff was super friendly and rooms very clean. The only drawback was that our room (double beds) for a family of four was a little tight. We did learn that the hotel has many different style rooms because of the uniqueness of the building. Something to keep in mind during our next visit to The Mills House. Can't wait to visit again!

The Mills House is conveniently located in the center of the old historic section of Charleston with convenient parking right next door to the hotel. I have stayed there many times in the past and it always remains consistent in service, cleanliness, friendliness, and decor. it remains one of my favorite Charleston hotels.

Excellent stay, room could have been slightly bigger, but still a very nice room. Excellent service from hotel employees as they always remembered you by name. Hotel was within walking distance to all downtown Charleston,SC attractions. A real comfortable and historic place to stay.

First of all the hotel was elegant and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff was warm and welcoming. We stayed here one night after my appointment with my oncologist at MUSC. We wanted to have a special night during the holidays. The weather was cold and I wasn't feeling well. I was aghast that valet service was $32 per day! So, we parked behind the hotel in the public garage and walked about 2 blocks to the hotel. Since the weather was so bad and I did not want to be out in it, w... Read more

My family stayed at the Mills House over Thanksgiving weekend and loved the hotel. The location is perfect right in the middle of the historic area, the staff was incredibly friendly, and my room was super comfortable. I

Everything about this location is excellent from location just far enough from the busy market to food and staff. Professionally decorated for the Holidays. Even planning a return for Christmas weekend. Only negative is really small bathrooms.

We were visiting Charleston for two days, someone booked us a very bad hotel and after checking in we were so disappointed we were in need of a hotel that could check us in late. After some time, we found the mills hotel which was nearby. The location is central , the exterior is so charmining and beautiful ,the rooms were clean and spacious and had views of the city and the services was OUTSTANDING. We walked in to the hotel withou reservation and very frustrated about our other hotel, we had n... Read more

Hotel is great but service in Restaurant bar was horrible. We waited 30 minutes on 2 occasions to evr get waited on. The staff spent their time talking to each other rather than waiting on guests.
