This historic inn is the best location I can imagine on the Charleston Peninsula! The lobby and courtyard are beautiful. Being an older, historic inn, our standard king-size room was not spacious, and the bathroom was quite small, so do not expect the luxury of a lot of room. There was only a pedestal sink, which I found odd for a hotel of this caliber. I do wish the windows would have been able to be opened. They were "sealed" shut. Another downside of an older place is that the rooms are not e... Read more

We greatly enjoyed our stay a The Mills House. Great location, within walking distance to most area attractions. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms immaculate. We want to extend an extra thanks to Andre at the front desk. He ensured we had the best information to make the most out of our stay. The first night he recommended a private cocktail class in the hotel bar. This was a private class held by 'Roger the Bullet Dodger'. Roger walked us through the historical significance of the alcohol tra... Read more

Everything about this hotel is superb. I have stayed twice before while attending the Spoleto Festival on a Road Scholar trip and this time during a South Carolina trip. The building is historical and elegant, the staff gracious and accommodating, the food excellent, the location perfect for walking everywhere.

This is the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. Perfect location to everything you could want to do. Wonderful staff and I feel like every window seems to have a pretty view. The concierges recommendations were well made, and the bar served delicious drinks.

Enjoy the hotel. Staff was helpful. Location is great. A complementary light/quick breakfast would help start the day off right. It appeared surrounding properties offered a breakfast.

Hotel cannot be beat for the price you are paying. The staff is great. They upgraded us on arrival and our entire stay could not have been any better. We especially enjoyed the evening hosted champagne time. The staff was very attentive and I have zero complaints for this hotel. You cannot have a better location.

We were only there for 1 night because a wedding reception was next door. Every part of the hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff were wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced.

Location absolutely can not be beat. Uber from the airport $16 and no need for a car as the hotel is central to everything. Hotel itself is "historic" so feels a bit dated and bathrooms/rooms are on the small side. Bed was super comfy and had view from 6th floor of the water. No issues with housekeeping. Concierge/bellhop openly discussing pay scale as well as comparisons with thoughts of management should not have been done in front of guests A wonderful gift shop with friendly owner who could ...
