This was a very nice hotel for a quick overnight. The lobby is gorgeous and smells really good and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are motel-style, as they are accessed from the outside, but that actually ended up being convenient for us, as we were able to park right outside our room. It was clean, breakfast was good enough, and the pool was open, though we didn't swim. It was only about 15 min from downtown. Would stay here again.

Wow! What a great place to stay. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. Clean, recently renovated and up to date. Pretty impressive breakfast selection, including pancakes and waffles, omelets, fruit, cereals and breads. Oh yeah, and of course biscuits and gravy.

The rooms here are tired but clean. The washroom is very tiny with the sink area exposed to the living area, which means that the bright light will disturb your partner at night or in the morning if you sleep at different times. The hotel has two buildings, one around the pool near the lobby and breakfast area, and one around the back a lot farther from the pool and lobby, but the rooms here are cheaper. Like many drive-in hotels, the rooms on the main floor are right behind the cars parked at t... Read more

Ever feel like you won the lottery, you will if you stay at this Best Western. We spent three days here from Jan 3 to 6 2017. We felt like we were in a 5 Star Plus hotel. Every day when we got back from sightseeing the room was spotless and sanitized and deodorized, they took the time to make you notice that they cared about your review of thier hotel. As for Southern Hospitality the lady in the breakfast room made sure you had enough to eat some water to take with you for day out and a smile ... Read more

Made reservations enroute with NICOLE, 2 queen beds. My husband contacted had a bug in NC. He crashed, DND tag on door. Next morning, CARO helped me get food. And wrapped it to make it easier to get back to room! 2nd morning, Caro spoke to us and specificly asked if he was feeling better. Then one of the cleaning men asked about him. I had no idea they were paying attention, it was VERY much appreciated. I spoke with several of the grounds keepers and they were all so friendly. Everyone was fr... Read more

Last minute decision to go to Charleston and booked on line - we wanted something central and not too expensive, and this fitted the bill. Check in was helpful and efficient and parking was easy, on site and plentiful. The rooms, which came with two double beds were clean, but looking a little past their best (like they, and the bathrooms, hadn't been renovated since the 1970s). The air conditioning was powerful, but the worst thing about the room was the odd smell - a sort of damp smell, pos... Read more

Arrived vary late on a Friday night. Check in was straightforward and woman at counter was very friendly and helpful. Room was satisfactory. Clean beds and linens. Pool was nice. Well sized. Location is probably the biggest selling point, as it is easy access to to downtown and beaches. There is a 24 hour grocery store within a mile or so. There are many high end car dealerships in the area, which seemed to indicate a more up-scale area. Parking was plentiful. Price was a little high fo... Read more

Excellent hotel with amazing personnel. Room was spotless and completely redone inside. Full hot breakfast was provided, although advertised as just Continental. Even though the stay was for only one night, we are always particular about our pre-cruise hotels, usually staying at Raddison, Country Inn and Suites, Embassy Suites or Hampton Inn depending on the port we sail from. This particular Best Western (our first BW ever), was a keen competitor with the aforementioned hotels. Parking for... Read more

I wanted to say a few weeks ago I was having a very bad day. My car broke down so I had to stay over night in Charleston. The next day my car was suppose to be fixed but by 5:00 they told me they could not fix it. I was having a very bad day by then. I had to find a hotel to stay at so I walked into Best Western and BRITTINAI was at the front desk. She was so friendly and compassionate to my situation. It changed a bad two days into not so bad a situation. I wanted her management team to k... Read more
