Second time visiting Charleston and stayed at this Hampton Inn both times. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. From the front desk to the housekeeping and breakfast staff, hats off to some great customer service by all. This time I was actually able to take advantage of the pool and exercise room. This hotel is very convenient for everything that we were looking to do and see in Charleston. We'll be back!

The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. Nice location. Close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to major roads. Only disappointment was that the rooms were not ready at guaranteed check-in time (3pm), and we needed to be ready to leave for a wedding rehearsal by 3:30.

Convenient hotel. Amenities were a good value. Free parking. Close to highways. Happy hour with snacks. Nice pool area. Friendly staff. Breakfast got messy but not because of staff. Guests were sloppy. Furniture in lobby area is old...needs replacement. Overall recommended.

These rooms were super comfy and cute, breakfast was great and it was a pretty close distance to all the fun stuff in Charleston- far enough away, though, for the price to be reasonable. My only qualm with the facility is that I heard people on the hallway pretty early in the morning.

My unit and the unit in a travel friends room were very noisy. Not just noisy, but clanging and beating noise that wakes you every time it kicks on. Even called maintenance, but was told it was internal and nothing they could do. Too late in the evening to change rooms. No one mentioned in the morning or even cared. I doubt they fix since most people only stay one night. I will not stay here again.

One of the first things I look for in a stay is cleanliness. Hampton Inn & Suites definitely lived up to that. The staff was friendly and check in was wicked easy since we'd done the electronic check in so it was just a matter of telling my name and receiving my key at the front desk when we checked in. Our suite was very nice. No complaints at all there. Being a HHonors member, we were given free waters and snacks when we arrived which was a nice treat. We had originally booked for two nights... As always the Hampton Inn is clean, the beds comfortable & the staff is very friendly. It was a nice surprise to have the kitchenette & the couch in a separate room from the bedroom. When we got off the elevator there were some things stacked up in the hall but that was soon cleaned up. The only complaint I have was the location - it was certainly farther away from Charleston than I thought. But then that was my fault for not doing more investigation. So do your homework before booking this... Read more

Excellent accommodations, friendly and accommodating staff, located close to medical facilities we needed with special reasonable rates for patients and their families. I had made a reservation for a handicapped room, but upon our arrival, my adult daughter - the patient - decided we would be more comfortable in a two room suite. This Hampton needs remodeling. The room was very "worn". Clean, but shabby. For the $199 per night it was seriously overpriced. Staff were friendly, but when I checked in at 5 p.m. the clerk had to call housekeeping to see if the room was ready. Really? It's 5 p.m., room was guaranteed for 3 pm check in. Couch in room was thread bare: looked like a rescue from a curb after an eviction. Permanent spots on carpet, furniture banged up. Happy Hour was nice, breakfast too. Common areas are fi... Read more

Coming from a Diamond Hilton Honors regular, this is the worst Hilton property in which I've ever stayed, and I really hate to divulge that. The great corporate rate I get here might be cause to return, but I have to really think that over. I had a nice, large suite with separate kitchenette/living area, but the bedroom and bathroom were pretty tight, and the whole thing was downright grody. My husband and I stayed here for two nights. June 9th and 10th for a wedding in Charleston. The hotel is fine and safe. The lobby/common areas are updated but our room was old and worn. It was very clean.....but desperately needs updating. We had to keep the AC on 60 and the fan blowing at 100% the entire time to keep our room "dry". We were freezing!!! If we tried to turn the thermostat higher, the room would get very damp quickly. Our room did have a microwave and refrigerator which was great!

I completely recommend Hampton Inn. I was there for a very rushed four days while I was attempting to buy a home on Kiawah Island. And it provided just the quiet respite I needed to regroup and consider the major decisions I was making. It is conveniently located near the airport, but within striking distance of the sea islands. But not in the traffic of Charleston itself.

This was a very nice Hampton Inn. Friendly staff, clean, beautiful courtyard. It was a little further away from downtown Charleston than I had originally thought but was worth the drive. Delicious breakfast, free beer/wine during happy hour.

Easy access and relatively close to downtown Charleston. Inn keepers welcome provide beer, wine and light snack items which make it great for reunions or gatherings before the personally official organized events are scheduled.

High school reunion , a little pricey but worth it. The location was great, enjoyed the wonderful staff. This was our group third trip to Charleston but never stayed at Hampton. I've stayed at Hampton before in my travels, and love the accommodations.

The Hotel personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. Room comfort and cleanliness was great. Bed was awesome! Hotel was very clean. Complimentary Breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend a stay at this Hampton.

Despite reserving in advance and specifiying 2 beds in the room, we were told when we arrived only 20 minutes after the 3 PM check in time that none were left so they were giving us a room with 1 kingsized bed. Not a great way to start the afternoon.
