We could not think of another place in all our travels during that time that paid attention to every detail, anticipated their guests needs so well, and executed so flawlessly. Spectacular breakfast with fine charcuterie and Greek yogurts. Simply heavenly. Wasn't planning on coming to Charleston, so glad we took a detour off the beaten path. Visited over Labor Day weekend so prices were hiked a lot. The hotel is in a great location. The inclusive breakfast is pleasant and they seem to have a 2 day cycle. We tried it then decided it was more interesting to eat out. The staff are mixed from very helpful to disappointing so the good get dragged down by the less good to give the hotel an average rating. We went with fiends and the difference in room sizes was a lot. So clearly they are going annoy one of the party. Why do they do that... Read more

The entire staff was very friendly and very helpful. Room was exceptional with a spectacular view in addition to being quiet. Inclusive breakfast was delivered to the room and was excellent. Coffee in the hallway was a nice touch. Would definitely make a return trip!

So what if some think the Spectator or the Restoration are more hip? The French Quarter Inn is consistently, although often still surprisingly, top notch across all fronts. Service is impeccable from valet to front desk to room attendants. Complimentary food and drink is above and beyond. Cleanliness and outfitting of rooms and common areas is fabulous. The comfort of stay and friendliness and service make this our must stay hotel in Charleston. Although I like "hip", I like "aaaaaahhhhh" mor... Read more

My husband and I spent the weekend here. It was a Christmas gift from our daughter. We had a special time being close to everything in Charleston. Our room had its own private terrace. It was very peaceful there at night listening to the live music from the Irish pub across the alley. It would have been nicer if there had been comfortable lounge chairs on the terrace. All that were there were wrought iron-like straight chairs, a round table and a small table between two of the straight chairs. ... Read more

We are so glad that we found the French Quarter Inn. With so many historic area hotels to choose from we relied on other Tripadvisor reviews to guide us here. We arrived without a reservation (not liking the location of the hotel we had previously booked and our first impression with the valet was wonderful and it only continued to get better. Chuck at the front desk was friendly and helpful and got us into a room. The room was very clean, well appointed and the bed very comfortable. They h... Read more

My husband and I have been staying at The French Quarter Inn for the past several yWears celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were trying to save a little money after having kind of a bad financial year, so we booked another hotel in the historic district. We were extremely disappointed, the room and location was nice but didn't compare to the French Quarter Inn. We walked the few blocks to the French Quarter Inn and talked to Sam and told him of our experience and ask if any rooms would be... Read more

I was ecstatic when I saw the ceiling fan in our room. That alone was worth the high price to us! Other good things were the wine and cheese and the cookies and milk services. It was great to come in from walking around Charleston to find a quick, convenient bite to eat sitting in the lobby. If these things are important to you, then you may find the price justified. If not, you can get a similar bed/room (sand ceiling fan) for a much lower price elsewhere. The location was good for walking arou... Read more

We recently spent 4 nights in Room 310 at the French Quarter Inn. It's a King Bedroom on the corner with a separate desk area leading out to a very spacious terrace area overlooking some church steeples across the way. The weather was perfect for us to enjoy the expanded continental breakfast on the terrace each morning. Breakfast was always delivered on time and accurately according to our order. (You may also get breakfast in the lobby area.) Bedding was comfortable and attractive. The ... Read more

My wife and I loved the French Quarter Inn. Perfect location , amazing location, fab pillows (I'm a pillow guy) and the complimentary bikes were awesome. Breakfast was very good, wine hour and after dinner port, amazing. Only suggestion- you REALLY need a fitness center.

I recently visited with my family (husband and toddler child) for a mid week getaway. First, The location is amazing. It is in the middle of downtown but not on a noisy street. You are withing close walking distance to all of the main attractions. The hotel also offers bike rentals if you want to venture a little farther. The hotel is quite luxurious with great linens and turn down service. The courtyard in the back was a perfect place for breakfast (which was quite tasty and had a gre... Read more

We booked a room for our anniversary. The room was awesome with a view to a Market Street and huge private terrace. This hotel located right in the middle of the Historic district so everything you need right around the corner... and most magnificent is Waterfront park at night, once it is not crowded and you can peacefully enjoy sheltered swings.. The only minus the we have for this stay, that I ordered rose petals and champagne at check-in time (11 am, Check-in time 4 pm) and was informed tha... Read more

This year's annual family trip was Charleston and we chose to stay at The French Quarter Inn because of the reviews and location. We were looking for a boutique hotel stay and purposefully stayed away from the big box names. This hotel exceeded all of our expectations - wonderful location, amazing service, rooms were spotless and very well appointed - they went the extra mile to make this a truly memorable stay.

I couldn't have had a better experience than I did at the French Quarter Inn. Everything from the staff, the room, the "extras" like the glass of champagne at check-in and the various guest "receptions" was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to my friends and family who may visit Charleston.

We stayed at The French Quarter Inn as part of a girls trip. The service is top notch. Everyone was so welcoming. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. We took a short walk to Battery Park through a scenic neighborhood. Easy walk to Market Street and King Street Shopping. I will definitely stay there when I return!
