I flew in from California to visit my parents in Virginia and we quickly decided we were going to make a road trip to visit Charleston for the first time. We booked the same day we arrived in Charleston over the phone and Glori was so kind and so helpful on the phone! When we arrived Taylor helped unload our car and greeted us with such kindness. Upon check in Glori was enthusiastic about our stay and was just as kind in person as she was over the phone. We were greeted with Champagne and a warm... Read more

Can we just say how much we LOVE the French Quarter Inn and wish ALL places were like this?? My family and I decided to do something different this year for Christmas, so we traveled to Charleston. Chuck greeted us with champagne and sparkling grape juice for the kids. Our room (Queen Junior Suite) gave us plenty of room so that we were not on top of each other and we were able to have the sofa bed out the entire time as well - My son said he had no problems sleeping, it was comfortable. We ha... Read more

During a recent visit to Charleston, my wife and I had the pleasure of finding The French Quarter Inn online and booked a traditional king room for 2 nights. Arriving in the late evening we were greeted by Chuck who was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely helpful during our stay with numerous recommendations. Our room was impeccable and the service meticulous, yet discrete---amenities galore. We enjoyed the main sitting area for breakfast and afternoon tea amidst the charming southern decor... Read more

The French Quarter looks to be on the pricey side at first glance, but once you get there and see the caliber of service they provide you start to wonder if they know their prices are so low. It was an amazing experience. The wine and cheese service, followed by fresh cookies and milk with port wine in the evenings (included in your stay!) were phenomenal, as was the complimentary room service breakfast! And we're not talking your typical hotel fare - bruleed grapefruits, eggs, pastries and a wh... Read more

We spent a night at the French Quarter Inn while traveling to Florida. It was very nice but didn't quite live up to the expectations that the hotel's reviews created. Maybe we were expecting too much. The hotel didn't quite seem prepared. We and every one we observed trying to check in had to wait about an hour for our rooms. We were given a glass of champagne to ease the wait and the lobby is lovely. But when I observed five different sets of guests all being told there was a wait for our resp... Read more

This is our 7th year of celebrating our anniversary at the Inn. Whenever we think that maybe we should try someplace else, we remember how much we like it here. This year was extra nice because we had to change our reservation because of bad weather up north, and they were very accommodating. They always remember our anniversary with a bottle of champagne, and this year was no different. We love their beautiful gourmet continental breakfasts, nightly wine and cheese events, homemade cookies & mil... Read more

Annually my sister and I take a trip around the holidays. We look for Christmas activities in the area. Charleston had lots going on for the holidays, as well as its history and great dining. French quarter inn was perfect for this highly walkable city. In five days we never got the car which was perfect. The Inn is delightful. Before morning breakfast, coffee service is available on you floor for a quick cup. In addition to its lovely breakfast buffet, the Inn offers nightly wine and snac... Read more

We have stayed here twice in the last 3-4 years and I highly recommend it. Rooms are good sized and hotel is clean and well run, but the best part is the incredible location! Very close to the market and some great restaurants.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel in December 2016. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the rooms were large and comfortable. We could not ask for a better location, so convenient for the attractions, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast, afternoon cookies, cheese and wine hour and evening port were all very nice extras and enjoyed by all. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Charleston.
