"We stayed at the elliot house for four nights in february. We loved it. We were able to walk to many places and if it was further than we wanted to walk there was a free trolley to take us. The room was lovely. The bed was comfortable and it was clean. We enjoyed the wine and cheese served in the courtyard every afternoon. We especially loved having our breakfast brought to our room."

"Excellent inn but we had a bad room due to location on Queen St. - room did not have properly window coverings to block the street light. The morning trash truck noise beginning at 6:30 AM, and one morning at 4:15 AM, was very loud. We would stay here again but only in a room in the rear of the building. Great location, nice cont. breakfast, and friendly staff. Need to give sustomers a break on parking, too expensive for a weeks stay."

"Great location and very clean. We could walk to almost everywhere and restaurants are all around. The front desk clerk was very helpful and took us for a private tour. Beautiful courtyard and hot tub. Only disappointment was the breakfast. Would have liked a little variety."

"Never stayed downtown in all the years we have gone to Charleston... always stayed on the outskirts... our son graduated the Citadel in 2005 and we started coming the year before his knob year!
Loved this place!
Will come again and again.. the hot tub is fabulous- so hot, so lovely, the wine and cheese is such a nice touch... everyone together in the courtyard, the silver service breakfast is the best- but the ambiance... you cannot match!!!

"Clean comfortable rooms at affordable rates. Wonderfully helpful staff--the desk manager provided detailed information on tour sites and routes and an attendant provided an early breakfast (4:30 am instead of the regular 7:00 AM time. The only issue was parking. Rates at the city lot across Queen street were exorbitant."
