Got a discount on the room here. Great location - easy walking distance to many Charleston attractions. Dirty pool and common areas. Wouldn't recommend until place is cleaned up. Has great unrealized potential.

During check in my child left a stuffed animal (her favorite possession in the world) in the office. With in 2 hours we were back to look for it, only to find out that the office person had let another child keep it. I guess it was just to much work to hold on to it, to see if someone came back. My child was completely devastated, and this ruined her vacation. I can't believe they can't be troubled to hang on to items for at least a day to see if someone returns for them. I would never consider ... Read more

During check in we were informed they charge an additional 14.00 per night to park your car. We had not been informed of this charge when we made the reservations. There is also no free breakfast and coffee for only 2 small cups and limited condiments. All the rooms face the parking lot where it sounded like there was a party going on till 2 or 3 every morning. The location of this motel is very good and is within easy walking distance of many attractions. It is also a block from a free shu... Read more

Every night I turned on my AC unit, the room smelled like urine for the first 5-10 minutes. It was so bad, that after two nights, I gave up and just left the AC running all day to avoid the stinky startup. Other than that, my stay was great. Even on the day I forgot to hang the privacy tag, a staffer jumped over the hurdles of shoes all over the floor and replaced my towels.

Overall was great price for location, although I did not appreciate the last minute charge for daily parking. I felt a fast one was being pulled on me. When making reservation, the estimated total including taxes was not the ultimate price. After checking in at the hotel I was told of the $16 per day parking. I gladly would have paid this if it were disclosed initially in the daily rate and included the parking. But for them to charge their daily rate on line and then throw in the parking ... Read more

Perfect location for a downtown Charleston visit. Onsite, self parking for $14/day. Staff very friendly! This is an older motel. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom. The beds are VERY comfortable! Very Clean. Can't beat the price or location. I have stayed at this property numerous times and will re-book again in the future.

A woman who cleans at the hotel saw my a cell phone we left on a table that could be seen from the outside window, brought it to reception, worried that someone might steal it. We appreciated this very much.

The accommodations were just adequate. The room had a few amenities but it was small. It has probably been renovated but was still a bit tired. Very little soundproofing, I had noisy neighbors. The staff was pleasant. Easy walking distance to my conference, lots of shopping and places of interest

This was a nice hotel. Very good location. Quiet area. Good walking distance for around town. Very friendly staff. Wish they had a breakfast. We had to walk down the road for breakfast. They only offered coffee.
