Perfect location in downtown Charleston SC. Car not needed to get around the downtown area. free trolley, 1/2 block from carriage rides, 1/2 block from the market area. 2 blocks from King street shopping area. Now more about the hotelâ?¦ the front desk staff is exceptional an example of this is my 1st night there it was raining very badly and I asked what restaurants delivered and they offered to go out in the rain and pick it up for me. Of course I wouldn't let them and ordered in and had i... Read more

The Andrew Pinckney Inn was a very nice Inn located within walking distance of almost all of the old Charleston area. The check-in was extremely quick and the valet/bellman was great! Parking is at a premium in the Old Quarter so having valet parking available was great (and a bargain compared to the available public parking). The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was also very nice.

We loved this hotel. We stayed in a 2 level carriage room in the carriage house building next to the main hotel. . Our room has a rooftop deck and was lovely. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we were well taken care of. The free breakfast on the roof top of the main building was surprisingly well done and the views are wonderful. We felt that if hotel offered a great value. I did see inside of what was likely a standard room in the main hotel and it looked small to me. Parking is... Read more

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed it but there's something missing and I'm not sure what it is. Let's consider the good: great location for rambling around town and the best restaurants, helpful staff ( especially Tiffany, who looks after luggage and your car), beds very comfortable and room 410 was very quiet. So what's my issue well the hotel is split both sides of the road ( not really a big issue), breakfast is mediocre, the rooms are large but not terribly homely, and the shower is in the b... We have just enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Andrew Pinckney to kick off our Deep South road trip. The Inn is very well placed for walking around the Historic district of Charleston , and wow what a wonderful town this is! The room was tastefully furnished and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is very relaxed and all the staff we met were so friendly , especially Jimmy the concierge man who was such a nice guy. Room was ok with exception of the bathroom. The bathroom for the tub and the toilet was so small, I bet it was less than 40 square feet. I have seen closets in hotels this big. I call the desk to find a bigger bathroom and was told they had none bigger. We then decided to stay the one night and find another hotel and when we changed the new hotel was so modern with plenty of room. It was a game changer.

Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese on the terrace. We had delicious mussels at 5Church restaurant across from the market. Pearlz restaurant on Bay Street was really good. A platter of oysters on the half shell and some tasty shrimp. Lunch at Rue De Jean on John street. Wonderful mussels here as well. Shopping on King Street. Love the rooftop at the Market Street Pavillion. Great place for a glass of wine at sunset. Hall's restaurant, always a winner for a great steak.

The Andrew Pinckney was an amazing place to stay from start to finish. The valet lady (va-lady as she calls herself!), Tiffany, was so friendly. The inn even allowed us to keep our car parked well past check out time so we could continue to walk around Charleston without having to find parking. The lemonade and cucumber water in the lobby at check-in were delicious, and the concierges were super friendly and helpful in making us dinner reservations (a must in Charleston!). I absolutely loved staying the night at the Andrew Pinckney Inn! We were just there for one night but it was perfect. It is a very welcoming place and we were greeted immediately by our valet. We were lucky enough to get an early check-in which was much appreciated. It never hurts to nicely ask. The room was very small but I prefer cozy. We were there to have fun, not stay in the room all day. :) The rooftop terrace breakfast was so lovely and a nice view. I could have lived on that terr... Read more

This was a long Anniversary weekend. First time in Charleston. We loved the location of this hotel, left our car with the friendly valet and walked everywhere. The 4th floor breakfast room and balcony was nice, enjoyed breakfast and wine, fruit and cheese in the late afternoon. During the day, the lobby offers infused water, lemonade, snacks and cookies, nice touch. We stayed in the Church St Building, nice size room with sofa, desk, very comfortable king bed, also in room coffee. The build... Read more

Can't say enough good things about the Staff as we checked in and asked for information. They were truly service focused and very attentive. Rooms are truly quaint and clean, as is the entire site. The Rooftop Breakfast was super. The Wine Greeter at 4pm was great as well, (wine quality could be improved).

I recently returned from a roadtrip to Charleston and Savannah with my two sisters. My sister Carole did tons of research on hotels and booked us at the Andrew Pinkney for Friday night. When we pulled up the hotel was very reminiscent of a charming European Inn. We were greeted by an effervescent lady named Tiffany who just exudes southern hospitality! She referred to herself as our "Valady", our female Valet and she was very helpful with our luggage - and we had a lot of bags! Later when we nee... Read more

Very poor customer service by Andre. Please take note that once a hotel associate tells your guest yes to something another employee needs to make it happen... Not say no later in a rude offensive tone. Customer service rule in a hotel " the answer is yes, what is the question". Cute property, great location

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!!! Service was wonderful. Polite and helpful staff. Great location to historic district. And literally a block from the market area but secluded enough not to have the noise from the night life crowd. The room (306) was small but comfortable for the 2 of us. The bed slept like a cloud! Great selection of breakfast on the roof with options to take to your room and another station set up on another floor. They have complementary wine and cheese hour... Read more

We had the pleasure of booking into this charming downtown Inn last week. Our room was perfect, the entire property was clean and well staffed. Parking was easy too! We didn't need our car and could walk to most everything. The young lady at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She helped with dinner reservations and gave us some "off the beaten path" suggestions. All in all...this hotel was a great experience.

We loved this inn! It was a beautiful, well appointed place for being right in the historic district of Charleston. They thought of everything from afternoon happy hours, Dailey fresh flavored coffee, flavored water and fresh cookies. Great farther bedding and nice size rooms with a rooftop terrace.

We booked the Pinckney Inn for a comfortable and cute place to stay in town. Although the location is quite lovely I just did not get the warm and fuzzy feeling when I arrived here. The setup is a bit of a hobble, spread over several buildings. The inn lacks a central focus and theme, it lacks a courtyard where service and attention can be directed. Instead there is a room that serves as check in. From then on you're on your own. The valet was friendly as was the lady at check in. The roo... Read more

We were not very impressed with this inn. The continental breakfast was often out of yogurt. The doors in the room were quite dusty. One of the ceiling sprinklers dripped water for two days, and the inn's solution was to put a plastic fruit bucket on the end table for nor the drip to catch the water. We probably not stay at this inn again.

This beautiful, historical inn is extremely comfortable - our queen room was immaculate and gorgeous with its exposed brick walls. Great A/C which was critical considering we were visiting in July. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary wine hour was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast is also included. Great location in historic Charleston- you can walk anywhere from this location. Highly recommended!
