Great rooms excellent bar and restaurant. Recently opened up the roof top which is very nice on a cool evening also has conference room and an excellent workout facilities with multiple treadmills ellipticals and bikes as well as free weights and universal weights. They have good meeting space for conferences. I thought the staff was a little cold and not very welcoming. It would serve them well to put a smile on and be a little more cheerful. Nice hotel. Pretty view. We only stayed one night on our way to HHI. Kids enjoyed the pool after being in the car 12 hours. They also enjoyed watching the drawbridges from our window. Friendly staff. Food was great and not overpriced. Easy check in. Clean facility.

This hotel is fine for what it is, not top notch, but also better than some rat trap. Hotel is clean with a nice rooftop lounge on the 4th floor (only open Wednesday-Saturday so we didn't get to experience it). My only complaints are that my shower didn't drain properly and constantly had water up to my ankles and a toilet seat that seemed ready to break apart at any minute. Decent hotel that is close to the action (what little there is in Charleston).

Previous guest's makeup on bedspread. Eww Supplies (cups, towels) were not provided each day. I booked through Expedia. It was made clear to me that they would rather a fooling through their own site. (Embarrassing to be called out at the check in desk) We stayed 3 days. The last night, Sunday, was 100.00 dollars more than Friday and Saturday. I learned this at checkout. At 350+,, breakfast is not included? I usually stay with another chain and will go back to them.

My first visit to this hotel location was very comfortable. I had a harbor view room and it was quiet and comfortable. Try the roof top bar for a relaxing adult beverage. The hourly shuttle to the end of the Market is convenient. Robert and Larry were the drivers and they had the answers to about any question about the Charleston peninsula.

Friendly hotel staff and very accommodating. The room was clean and beautiful. Great view of the marina and the food was excellent not at all like the normal hotel food. My friends and I enjoyed the roof top deck. My only issue at arrival, was that you had to drive around to get to the parking area and the luggage carts. I would certainly staff again.

I stayed here for a conference, with the hotel paid by my employer (I'm assuming at a discount). I got the "cheap fares" kind of room--around the back of the building, no view, only looked out on a parking lot and interstate. The first thing I noticed was the paint on the door to the room and inside the room was chipped. As I set the my bags on the bed, I found a used baby wipe on the floor. I went in to the bathroom, and while i sat on the toilet, I scratched the back of my arm on the 1.5 inch ... Read more

We decided to stay downtown for the July 4th weekend and use a hotel stay we had bought at a Ronald McDonald House charity auction. This hotel is right on the Ashley River adjacent to the Charleston Marina and shares a drive with a Courtyard hotel. Parking is on the ground floor with reception one floor up. They need better signage explaining where reception is as it's a bit confusing when walking in from the front of the hotel. Our check-in went smoothly and quickly. Our room was well appointed... Hotel was overpriced for the size of the room and with no complimentary breakfast. On top of that the hotel is far from all the attractions in Charleston. Avoid this hotel. The hotel has a shuttle service to the market area, but the shuttle is very small and could rarely handle the amount of guests wishing to use the service. We were very disappointed with this hotel and we will never stay at a Hilton property again. Stay somewhere outside the city and save a lot of money.

we were on a road trip and I booked this hotel online thinking it was downtown as it says in the name. It is not downtown and about two miles from downtown. They do shuttle you and leave you somewhere that didn't look like downtown to me. We walked in 100 degree heat at least a mile to get a tour bus just to find out the last tour was at three o'clock. This was not in the tour companies brochure. We got a cab and went back to the hotel.

As always a perfect week of my regular quarterly visits as part of my job. The service is great, the location is great, the staff is always helpful. Often eat right there as the food is not bad and doesn't cost an arm and a leg like many of the "popular" restaurants in Charleston. My room view wasn't that great, but given that I use the room for sleeping and showering it wasn't a real issue. My third time staying here and it's always a pleasurable experience.

Half of the rooms have a sweeping view of the harbor and marina, the other half a great view of the parking lot and overpass. The rooms, while of good size have no USB ports for charging devices or connectivity for bluetooth or corded sound to speakers. Just some items I have come to expect from this franchise at this price.

As a Hilton honors member I was hoping for an upgrade to a marina view. Didn't happen, I had the "Partial water view". This really should be described as the Interstate/Bridge view. While I felt the room was clean it was very dated.

Was referred this hotel by a past resident of Charleston. It was very nice and clean. My wife and I took full advantage of the amenities with the exception of the lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the rooftop bar ( but cover your drinks when the black birds began their nightly movement). The breakfast, although kind of pricey, was excellent and allowed you to eat all you want. It tended to work out better for us in the long run due to still being full for lunch while seeing the local sights th... Read more

We usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Waterfront for events at The Citadel. The hotel staff are always exceptionally friendly. The roof top lounge is a great escape and offers a perfect view of the Ashley River at sunset. Gregory and Claire do an amazing job with the cheese and salmon boards.

Stayed at this hotel on the way home to FL. First time staying in Charleston and it was so much fun! Our room was a king non-smoking and very nice. The room was clean and had Keirig coffee maker which was nice! Also had a refrigerator and microwave. It is located 1.7 miles from downtown but the do have complimentary shuttle service. Will be staying at this hotel again!

Our room had a balcony overlooking the marina. Beautiful at sunset!! Nice comfy bed, fridge, big TV, lots of power outlets. We enjoyed wine in the lobby before heading to dinner. Complimentary shuttle only leaves on the hour so we missed it & took an Uber. Great stay overall.

Great location, facility, reception staff, restaurant, accommodations and just a real pleasure to stay. Honestly can't say enough about the hospitality excellence and professionalism of the staff. MUSC within walking distance and easy access from US 17! I definitely would recommend this HIlton!

We spent a night here while visiting friends. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, but what makes this place special is the rooftop bar. A lovely outdoor space with tons of lovely seating. But what makes it really special is the Manager of the Bar and the incredible view of the harbor. Even if you are staying some where else, you should stop by this place for the view and a glass of something!

Beautiful hotel, peaceful rooftop with a great view, kid friendly, friendly staff, free shuttle, very clean/updated rooms, the lakeside rooms are defiantly worth the view. We will absolutely book here again

I had checked in on line and selected our room; however when we arrived a couple of hours before checkin we were told the room wasn't ready. Not a problem because we were early so we explored the city a little. We returned at check in time only to find the room still wasn't ready. However, the front desk staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Darrin made sure we were completely satisfied and accommodated for our inconvenience. The hotel has a great location and the staff is f... Read more

love the friendliness of staff, love the welcome we received with a bottle water and our pick of goodies. Beds were comfortable room very clean and spacious Love the broad walk to the coliseum to see our Dolly Parton concert. Now my only complaint was our room wall was paper thin, and it seem like forever we heard conversation between the ladies next door until after midnight so not sure if all the rooms are like that or we got the unlucky room. All in all we certainly will be returning for futu... Read more

Newly renovated and located right on the water it is a pleasant place to stay. There is a restaurant and lobby bar as you enter, patio with fire pit, outdoor swimming pool & gym. There is also a rooftop bar that looks lovely but we did not have the opportunity to enjoy it. We had a great room with a balcony with a beautiful view. The only drawback is that it is about a 5 minute car ride from everything that makes Charleston special.
