Outstanding customer service! Pool too cold to use (should be heated). Room clean but smelled like dog. If you don't have a dog or are allergic to dogs be sure to ask first if the room you're given has been used as a pet room (or bring a large bottle of Febreeze with you). Very good breakfast. Location OK but a bit of a drive to get downtown

I am a reservist and frequent Charleston one weekend out of the month every month. This was my first visit to home2suites. The lobby is cute, and I liked the idea of the full kitchens for extended stays in the room. The room is spacious and includes a full sized couch. Upon arrival in my room, as I would do in any hotel that I stay in I checked the mattress lining for bed bugs. Not finding anything I proceeded to place my bags down. It was obvious that the sofa was the most worn piece of furnitu... Read more

Whether your traveling with the family or by yourself, the rooms were roomy and loaded with amenities like a full size fridge dishwasher and microwave. The 9 ft ceilings made the room feel even larger. My room came with a small couch and a 42" HDTV which made my stay feel a little more like home. Every one of the staff members that I encountered were extremely friendly. I will definitely stay here again when I return to the area.

I expected more. Hilton is top scale. But, when we arrive to the room, I was not excited about it. I did not get a WOW factor... just ok. When I am on vacation, I expect to received this, particularly at a Hilton owned property. I enjoyed Charleston and the beautiful scenery... But , not impressed with the hotel. I would stay again, but we want to try somewhere else to get the WOW factor.

My family stayed in Room #318 last week. The moment we stepped in the door it was evident that a dog had lived in this room for an extended period of time. We have had dogs in the past so we understand pet smells, but this was very overwhelming. We complained about the smell and the fact that we had requested a room with a tub to bathe our children in. The room only had a shower. They were not able to switch us to another room so they ended up giving us a free night which was very nice of t... Read more

Only reason I'm rating it 4 stars is because "breakfast" consisted of bagels, donuts, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, waffles and an assortment of microwaveable omelettes, etc. Beds were a bit too firm for my liking, but that's a personal preference issue. Very clean property.

Her personality is great and she makes the shuttle ride so enjoyable! She was very helpful showing us different places around the outlets to eat! After our ride we were left talking about how we wish all drivers were that helpful and fun! The only complaint we had about our stay was the breakfast, we all commented that we thought there could be more options and hot foods. The breakfast could stand to be more "picky kid friendly".

I chose this hotel for proximity to the performing arts center, which we were able to walk too. We also needed space for myself and 5 children but not too much space or separate rooms. This property fit all of that perfectly. I was able to manage my family dynamic as well as ease traveling back and forth to the venue multiple times a day.

This is a wonderful hotel with an excellent staff. We stay here whenever we're in town for work. It's conveniently located to both highways 26 and 526, restaurants, shopping, and the Air Force Base. There's less traffic near the hotel than other areas, making it easier to get around. You can be on the beach or downtown in 20 minutes. The Convention Center is directly across the street (Go Stingrays!) so you can walk to events and not have to deal with parking or traffic.

Disappointed I didn't have a better stay, since it is so highly reviewed. I used Hilton points and online check-in. I was given keycards and went to the room quickly, but it was already occupied. (Sorry to the man I interrupted at 11:00pm trying to get in!). Went back downstairs to sort it out and get the cards re-keyed. In the room itself, well, the decor wasn't my style. The orange and pale greens just felt weird and not restful. The movable wall (curtain) was just silly. No way it was going... Read more

We love Homewood suites. The problem is how old is the property? From the pictures, I thought is wasn't old. And I don't think it is, but I think we are on year 3 or 4 and so it is getting worn down. We asked to stay on the top floor and were granted that, but only with a room with 2 queen beds. Would have preferred a king room. Regardless, we found the carpet stained, the furniture beat up looking, but the beds were comfortable. We also had dim lighting everywhere. Interestingly, after ... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights for work and this place is very nice. The lobby area is small but very functional. Has just what you need and is very up to date. The room had just what is needed for Home like feel. I would gladly stay here or any other Home2Suite is it mimics Charleston's hotel.

Our stay got off to a slightly bumpy start...we were checked into the wrong room and then could not access the Internet, which took a couple hours to resolve. Once that was resolved we enjoyed our stay. Clean hotel, centrally located and great continental breakfast!

Been a Hilton guy for a long time but had not experienced Home2Suites. Essentially it is a Homewood Suites with no dinners and no bar. But it did have a nice workout room adjoining the laundry and a Hampton Inn-esque breakfast. The staff were wonderfully helpful - bravo. I'll be happy to return!

I stay in hotels over 50 nights per year, try to stay in a Hilton brand when possible, I realize that there are different levels of Hilton hotels and was not expecting a Waldorf Astoria but what I ended up with would make Conrad turn over in his grave. Big sign on wall stating they only do a satisfactory job of cleaning your room once every five days and hopefully that doesn't fall on a weekend or you would have to call and ask for them to clean it. Another issue was the breakfast, at least t... Read more

Very convenient to Convention center and airport. Many dining options within a comfortable walking distance. Hotel had a nice breakfast and engaging staff. The rooms were quiet. I had trouble connecting to wifi in room but was always able to get a few minutes on the hotel's computer in lobby. Pool looked clean and the seating area in front of entrance was inviting.
