A very good location. A very spacious suite with all the facilities one needed available. Extremely delicious and tasty breakfast. A shuttle service provided by the hotel to Brown University venue of my conference. Friendly hotel staff always ready to explain and lend a helping hand. Overall memorable and comfortable experience at the Biltmore

The Providence Biltmore is a beautiful, historic hotel, rich in both folklore and history. The common areas are breathtaking but our rooms could use a little help. The shower curtain liner smelled faintly of mildew and the bath itself is long overdue for an upgraded. The old mattress was covered in a thick padding in hopes that it would cover up the fact that it needed replacing. The room was clean but overall I don't think it commands the pricing of $279 per night. I've stayed in other area ... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel with an interesting history right in the heart of downtown Providence. The location is perfect for getting anywhere. The lobby is beautiful, make sure you look up at the ceiling, stunning. The rooms are on the small side but the suites are large and spacious. We were surprised by how quiet they were. We hardly heard any street noise. However if you are very overweight you will not fit in the bathrooms. Really. They are very tiny by today's standards. They were, a... Read more

Biltmore is a beautiful hotel with an exceptional staff. I find the suite very comfortable, beds are cozy and they have wonderful memory foam pillows. McCormick & Schmick offers a terrific breakfast, continental is offered with $10 equivalent vouchers from the hotel if you are a Hilton Honors member. Moreover, their dinners are always exceptional - an easy and pleasant place to entertain dinner guests from work or just relax with a quiet lovely dinner after work. I wholly recommend this hotel.

We normally shy away from historic hotels but stayed here due to limited rooms being available in the city. Hotel was nice, clean & front desk was friendly. Our rooms A/C was not cooling the room to our likings so the hotel changed us to another room. They comped drinks and appetizers for us for the inconvenience, which was nice. Room service was not on the same level of service as the front desk. We pre-ordered breakfast & when I called to check on the status of the delivery because it was ... Read more

I came to providence to visit RISD. So the Biltmore is very well located to visit the school and is close to the Providence Mall too. I found the room small and the bathroom very very small. There is no space to even put out your clothes or toiletries.. There was no water in our room. Our room faced the main street, and inspite of it being on the 16th floor it was very noisy early morning with sirens and traffic. Overall an average stay

The room I stayed in was very dated and dark. For the same price, I would have rather stayed in a newer hotel. My experience with room service was less than stellar. The first morning they brought me someone else's breakfast entirely. I called to notify them of the mix-up, and they were apologetic. Of course, I did not have time for them to bring up another order. The second room service order was not a mix-up, but they forgot part of the order. I did not give it a third try. Upon depart... The room at the Biltmore was wonderful. The king beds were a luxury for my friend and I. We each had our own. The bathroom area was spacious and the door was old and heavy with lots of character. We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for the concert location, dinner and then breakfast at Ellie's the next day So happy with our stay.

The hotel is beautiful. It is quaint and old but updated with everything you could want, including a Starbucks. My one complaint is that we asked for additional pillows and was told they didn't have anymore. A hotel of this caliber should have them available even if they are at capacity.

The hotel lobby is very nicely done and we were greeted warmly by the valet parking men who quickly helped us with our bags. There is only valet parking available here at $28/night so beware. We never had to wait for our car when we called ahead so that was great. The reception desk was not as welcoming or warm as we had hoped. They were aloof and did not seem very eager to help the guests. They did not make a good impression. We felt as if we were not welcome. Rooms were large and lovely al... Read more

I really like hotels with character, and the Biltmore has a lot. The lobby and the mezzanine are stunning, and the rooms very attractive. It is also well located, right next to Kennedy Plaza, the transportation hub in downtown Providence, which is especially useful if you don't have a car with you. I've stayed here multiple times over the last four years. I have found the staff (front desk, housekeeping, bell station, house car) very helpful. (I never tried room service, which seems to be a ... A seriously stunning hotel. Walking through the entrance, you'll be struck immediately by the lobby. It's gorgeous and impressive with an air of elegance, entirely worthy of the building's history. Looked like it may have been recently renovated. Courtney, at the front desk, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The king bed was dreamy--far more comfortable than my own. And I have a very comfortable bed at home (not to brag). I found the shower easy to operate and I was able to adjust... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights in a junior suite with 2 king size beds. The room was very large and very impressive. The beds were very comfortable and very elegant. The hotel itself is a bit dated and not really a 5 star hotel but it is full of history and the lobby is really beautiful. The laddy at the front desk was very nice. Overall, we felt that the 2 king size beds were excellent and the bedroom was really nice! Good value.

The positives are great staff and an easy location to access everything. The rooms, however, were very dated and the bathrooms were in really tough shape. We had a group of people with us and they were surprised at the condition of the hotel. You could see at one time that this was a grand place to stay. But it is in serious need of renovation.

Stayed here because of a wedding. Check-in great. Rooms great (we had a suite type of room) and price for wedding guests was very reasonable. Food at the wedding was among the best "wedding" food we have ever experienced - buffet. Location of hotel was good too because it was close to other restaurants and saw a shopping mall that seemed to be walkable distance away.

I visited Providence in June, for what happened to be the weekend of both PrideFest and WaterFire. The Biltmore was in an ideal location for both, with the Pride parade passing the hotel and the main basin lighting of WaterFire a block away. For the price you pay for a decent room here one would expect better. The rooms need updating and air conditioning worn out and noisy, although the entrance is impressive. Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant is abysmal, staff don't know what they are doing and very slow. Again very expensive for what's on offer. The valet parking also over the top at $28 plus tips. The hotel entrance is impressive and a classic gem. The views are pretty in all directions, the higher up you go. The functioning mail drop (small slots on each floor drop into a post office pickup box in the lobby) is a nice throw-back and indication of the thought put into its initial design. The rooms are well sized, and the bathrooms are small as you would expect for a hotel of this age; I prefer they upgrade to a nice shower rather than the small tub found in our room. I stayed here with a group of 3 friends and we stayed in a 2 King Bed suite. The room was very large, clean, and updated. The sitting area was very big and there was definitely enough room for 4 adults. The price for 4 adults for the location was a pretty good value. Valet parking is $28 a day which hurts but I get that it is in the city. The lobby is very charming and has a nice old world feel. Would stay here again.

Very quiet and relaxing at the end of a long trip. Great value, with super large suite at a good price (lots of room for the kids). Bedding was fantastic, two king beds and super comfortable. We wanted to attend WaterFire in Providence and the Biltmore is just 2-3 blocks away. From the get-go, the staff was friendly and efficient. A++ for the staff. We wanted quiet, so the suite did not have the best city views because there was a Halloween party on the street (and spectacular view) side. The requested quiet view was nevertheless... Read more

Recently stayed here while on a business trip. I typically don't write reviews, but feel compelled to do so to acknowledge Eric Berlind for making my stay extraordinary and exceeding my expectations. Last minute, my home office called me up for a video conference, but I was already scheduled to check out of the hotel. I was concerned about not having a private, quiet place where I could hold the video conference. I approached Eric about my situation, he truly went above and beyond the call of du... Read more

Our daughter attends college in Prov, so we come frequently for athletics. By far our favorite hotel in the city. Walk to anything and no other hotels offers 2 king beds. The desk, the valet always friendly. Starbucks directly attached is nice too. View on odd room number side is awesome.

Nice large rooms, beautiful old classic hotel in downtown Providence. Little run down in lobby. Across from bus station. Great valet service for car. Easy walking to Brown Univ., restaurants, bars, etc.

Loved the hotel, and the beautiful room! Hotel is centrally located and the staff is wonderful! The parking attendants and the front desk staff were so nice and helpful. Very very professional. Lots to do in the area, surrounded by many places to eat, and drink. I would recommend staying here for any event you have in Providence!

I chose The Providence Biltmore as the sight to propose to my longtime girlfriend. Leading up to the weekend, I was in contact with two associates, Naomi and Eric, who could not have been more helpful in special arrangement requests. While I am an HHonors Gold Member I sincerely wanted to stay at the Biltmore because I was looking for a weekend to remember - it was surely a bonus to stay at a line of hotel where I was a member. The Grande Suite was wonderful, the views amazing, the accommodat... Read more

Our stay was pleasant overall. The room configuration is very odd with the bathroom entrance in the kitchen and the closet in the living/sitting room. Most of the service was professional and pleasant. We travel to RI periodically and will not return to this hotel...the room was expensive, the view was of the parking lot and the configuration of the room was really wierd

Positives: The bed was comfortable, clean, and staff was friendly. Negatives: Personal taste- but the hotel décor, furniture, and rooms overall are dated. Thus the reason it falls under the Curio collection. So if you like charm and character, this may be the place for you. The doors look like they have been painted over 100 times without being sanded down and are original to the building. The bathroom doesn't have a "fan", the door opens into the toilet. The building operates on an old ... Read more

I came to Rhode Island with my 17 year old daughter to tour the Universities in Providence. It's a very stressful time trying to find the right University for your daughter to spend 4 years of her life in. Kathy at the front desk could have not been more helpful assisting me and my daughter find our way around the city and making us feel at home at the Biltmore. I will be staying here again.

Large suite with 2 king beds and separate sitting area was perfect fit traveling with kids. No free breakfast like so many hotels nor but plenty of great options in easy walking distance. High floors get you away from construction and street noise.

I moved to Providence about 3 years ago and I actually live around the corner from the hotel. It's a great neighborhood and if you are staying at the Biltmore you should get out and explore! I am a weekend warrior athlete and I usually get about 2 massages/month to deal with post workout soreness. I tried a bunch of massages places around Providence and then one week I had an amazing massage with Julie N. at the Biltmore. Since then, no one else will do! Julie is absolute pro - she knows ho... The staff at the Providence Biltmore were so accomodating and helpful-we were offered water upon check-in and after coming back from our run and also upon check-in were given recommendations for getting around the city and restaurants. The hotel is historic and beautiful.

While the staff are good and the room size is huge, the bathroom was tiny and down a long corridor in the room, WiFi signal was poor and the décor in the room and communal areas was looking tired. The food in the restaurant was good.

This was our first time to visit the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations (very cool that the smallest state has the longest name) and we were thrilled to be able to stay right in the heart of Providence in a fine old hotel with excellent staff, an awesome lobby, and comfortable and quirky rooms. The location was perfect for us--we were there for the November 5 WaterFire--just a short walk from the hotel. I am an architect who likes the idea of preserving great old buildings like... Read more

This is a great old time hotel from the early 20th century. ~16 floors of rooms, with a few floors of function rooms on the top of this old high-rise building. We had a 15th floor suite on the front side of the hotel with an amazing view of downtown Providence and the Rhode Island Capitol building (a beautiful structure, much like a slightly smaller version of the US Capitol building). This is a great place to use as a base to explore the historic city. The hotel's rooms have been renovated ... Read more

The room set up was very odd. No full length mirror. Had to call to request bedding for pull our even though the hotel knew we had two guests. Room service was horrible. Requested first delivery at 6:45 am, arrived over 1/2 late and was unable to eat or get a refund.

Room temp was too hot and resetting the thermostat lower didn't help. Room service never arrived and when we called they laughed at us. Walked in late one evening from dinner and asked where the bathroom was and desk clerk said they were only in rooms yet I found a bathroom one flight of stairs up from front door. Not helpful at all!

We have an annual event in Providence, and I wouldn't think of spending it anywhere else than the Biltmore. Having a family we love the 2 King Size beds that we get in a suite. The hotel has a unique charm. the high ceilings, large windows that open, and really big rooms. There are layers of paint, but that just adds to the vintage feel. The 2nd floor common room above the lobby is so beautiful. My mind travels to what it must of been like for the people going there in years gone by.

perfect location, close to the mall and restaurants. Valet staff has great dinner & bar recommendations. The staff at McCormick&Schmidts is awesome, really enjoyed Megan & Crystal behind the bar. Yes its a historic hotel but the room size is good, bathroom a bit small. Ask for a view of the capital&park.

This hotel could be a great place but really failed during our visit. The date above is incorrect because our stay date was not available. We stayed in April and May of 2015. We came to Providence for our 25th anniversary and chose this hotel because it looked special. First, there was a remodel going on and the ornate elevator in the lobby was out of service. Second, it snowed the day before we arrived but they had turned of the furnace and there was no heat. They did not even offer a space hea... Read more
