This is our second stay at this hotel in the past year. What has surprised us, having stayed with Wyndham properties before in other cities, was the lack of daily room service, i.e. making beds and changing towels. When we inquired at the desk, we were told the hotel only services rooms every fourth (4th) day. For us staying three (3) days, we didn't get any service. However, upon complaint, the hotel staff did change our towels, but did not make the bed. We understood the lack of service the fi... Read more

I recently stayed here with my parents while visiting the Newport area and we loved it! The view was amazing and the location perfect, just a short walk to shops and restaurants as well as the ferry over to Newport. The staff was great and the room perfect for our needs, loved the fact that it had a private bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room as well as a kitchenette. I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony, was so nice to enjoy a glass of wine at night and coffee in the morn... Read more

We had booked a balcony suite and were not disappointed with the accommodation, we had a very nice view and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The décor was on the whole a little bit "tired" but there were some lovely pieces of furniture around. We were astonished to find there was no restaurant available at the resort, not even breakfast. Booking was for Thursday and Friday nights and the Friday room rate was nearly double the Thursday rate. The place seemed deserted, e... Read more

Awesome room with view of the beach and the bridge! Stunning in the day, even more stunning at dusk, and even moreso on a dark night with the bridge all lit up! We could see it lit up without even getting out of bed! The history of the Inn is fascinating as well. We already booked another week!

Had a long weekend in RI to plan our wedding. Location is great, comfortable walking distance to shops, restaurants and sites of Jamestown. Mrs. Smith who checked us in was very nice, and explained the accommodations to us and made us feel welcomed. We had a 3rd floor room which looked out to Narragansett bay. The room had a separated sitting area from the bedroom. Small kitchenette had a microwave, refrigerator, large coffee maker, plates, cups, glasses and silverware. What we didn't kno... Read more

We have been coming here for years. Great views of the bridge and harbor. The hotel has plenty of character. The Inn is being remodeled and we were told that the kitchen and dining room should be opening up soon. We have had several different suites on our many stays, none of which have disappointed us. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to see it when the remodeling is done.

Within walking distance from the town area. Although we didn't stay here we visited the Inn. The restaurant will open soon. Friendly staff. People enjoying the pool area. There are coffee, tea, milk chocolate, water etc available in the common room.

My first trip to Rhode Island and Massachusetts area! We loved the view from our room of the bridge into Newport and Narragansett Bay. The staff were friendly. The room was nice, but it was basically a hotel suite. The bed was very comfortable. The pullout couch was comfortable for a small 22 year old. I believe it had a bit of a pillow top mattress. There was a small fridge and microwave like most hotels offer and a bar sink. However, without a stovetop, we had to eat out every day we were... Read more

Greeted with smiles, this place did not disapoint. The room has a view of the harbor on the third floor. Ask for second or first to have a balcony. Good free parking, a good restaurant and easy walk to Jamestown. Many places to each or get ice cream too.

This is a beautiful facility and the staff was quite good. We did not take advantage of any programed activities as we were on the go everyday. The desk staff put us on to some good places to eat close-by and were friendly. I'm not sure why but I was never really able to feel comfortable, but, this was not a service issue or due to the any problem with the location.

The check in was kind of slow, but when I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised. The 2-room suite (which was called "deluxe room") consisted of a living /dining/kitchen combination and a bedroom. Everything was in a good working condition and I've found some extras you would not normally get in a regular hotel. The room was cozy, and I enjoyed great views from a long private balcony. Overall it gave me an impression that the owners care for their guests and tried to think of even small deta... Read more

We were very comfortable with the accomodations but disappointed in the daily service. We spent 5 nights and the trash just piled up. We ran out of toilet paper, etc. The pool was very nice and so was the help. Check in was very slow but service was polite and friendly. Appreciated the availability of the early morning coffee and sweet!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Wyndham Bay Voyage in Jamestown RI, exchanging in via a timeshare exchange company. The staff was, almost without exception, extremely friendly. I did greet one employee in the hall one day and got only a grunt in response, but he was certainly the exception. The booklet we received at check-in indicated there would be a tidy service either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. When I ask Wednesday if they were coming that day, they indicated that the book was wrong a... Read more

We were a group of six for dinner at the Inn's newly opened restaurant. Our experience was underwhelming. The menu is pedestrian and ordinary, as is the wine list. I ordered cherrystone clams and got little necks; there is a substantial difference. Salads were tired and sopping with dressing. Shrimp were either frozen bagged or equally tired. Swordfish steak was thin and overlooked. Steaks were incorrectly cooked and not particularly tasty. Nice view over looking the bay obscured by parking lot,... Read more

This was our 12th Wyndham and the first time we've experienced a front desk that was so unhelpful. He never told us there was a ramp leading to the side that we could access for our luggage, never pointed out the elevator. When we stopped the next day for directions and tourist information we got most of our information from the housekeeping manager! The brochures for attractions were out of date, the discount coupons had expired. At the pool, guests would go down early, place their towels on th... Read more

Very nice place to stay. Very quiet and restful. Most of the rooms are a bit small but who cares. The view from our deck of the harbor was outstanding. The pool was clean. The rooms were clean. The staff were very nice. And the restaurant and the food was outstanding. We will be back next year for sure.

This property was everything we wanted. Great location. Fabulous room with a great view. The staff was helpful and friendly. The property was clean and well maintained. The pool was terrific. A very enjoyable weekend. Jamestown is so much quieter and calm than Newport. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

On the water and a short walk to the small town. The unit is large enough for four people. There is a small fridge and a microwave. Loved that they served fresh coffee all day long. Staff were helpful and very friendly. They do a towel exchange on Tuesdays which includes toiletries. Beautiful salt water pool. Perfect resort for a relaxing vacation. Best attractions or restaurants nearby: Newport mansions are approximately fifteen minutes by car. We bought a membership and toured all of them. A... Read more

The timeshare hotel itself is just fine but the new restaurant is a disappointment. I ordered promptly and it took about 20 minutes for my appetizer to arrive only it came out at the same time as lobster bisque. The clams casino were great ,tender clams, crispy bacon and buttery bread crumbs but the lobster bisque was missing lobster! It tasted like salty lobster base with cream. The server said that it was supposed to be like that ! Then my filet arrived only it was a petit sirloin and not med... Read more

We stayed at this property on our trip to Newport and felt it was pretty good. The view from our king size suite room was amazing and very relaxing. The property was quiet. We were disappointed that only coffee and pastries were served for the continental breakfast. No juice or cereal. They have a nice restaurant but it is not open for breakfast.. Be prepared that this is a resort and there is no maid service. The people at the front desk were kind but not extremely knowledgeable, which is impor... Read more
