I went with my friend (we were 4 in the room) for a pinball convention. The location was at 10 min from the convention which it was ok. There were renovation everywhere in the hotel. The room was ok...just ok. Free breakfast was available but it was not the best. For the price, it was ok for us.

This hotel is under renovation and we were placed in a non-renovated section with pretty rough hallways. We had to walk outside to get to the breakfast area or front desk due to the remodeling. The room itself with two queen beds was fine and seemed pretty clean. For an inexpensive room this wasn't bad, but if you're expecting more I'd wait until the renovations are finished. I was traveling with two friends so it was OK, but I wouldn't bring my wife here until the remodeling is completely fini... Read more

The hotel was under construction, which no one bothered to mention when we booked. The room we stayed in had a plastic bag around the smoke detector, the outlet for the microwave and fridge were pulled out of the wall and just hanging, and the bathroom door would not close completely. The complimentary breakfast was powdered eggs, ham, stale cereal, and not much else to pick from. we won't be staying there again.

Extremely run down hotel. However is being renovated but did not tell us - elevator not working, rooms old and dirty, bad smell when you walk in to room. First impression when you drive in the lot is not very good, same as when you walk into lobby. Dull and uninviting. We were in area for college graduation and ever other hotel was sold out or we would have never stayed. This is our second and last visit to a Ramada, the name has gone down hill and fast. Never again!

two queen beds, one squeaked so bad it could not be slept in because every time you moved, it squeaked - badly. The other bed, was a little better, but was not comfortable. 2 adults, 2 towels. Most places I have stayed provide 4 towels for 2 adults without having to ask for more. There was a portable coffee maker in the room, but no carafe for it. The refrigerator was loud and was next to the bed in the corner of the room, so we unplugged it so we could sleep. Will not stay here again.

Being in the trades for many years. I didn't mind staying at a hotel that was being renovated. The construction crew left material in hallways. They took a air unit out and left it on the floor in our room. Our room had a very musty scent. There were materials stored in little closets all over left w doors off. On most jobs I worked materials had to be out of site of guests. This place was a mess. Tile floors in hallways were left very dirty Construction crews leave doors open making hotel war... Read more

We were going to be in Allentown for over a week due to a death in the family. Vacancies were hard to find due to college graduations, weddings, proms, etc in Mid May. In order to conserve our resources, I started looking for a place to stay that would work with us. After reading the reviews, I had my husband drive us over there to take a look at the actual rooms since I would be needing a 2 queen room for us and then a king room for other family members later in the week. Girl at the desk was very pleasant and friendly. The lobby is nice but the entire place smelled of fried food grease. Once out of the lobby the hotel changes....it is in definite need of a good scrub and remodel. Our room was a nice size but loud. The noise from upstairs was constant. The air conditioner was a tad noises but nothing you can't deal with. There was a giant spider In the bathroom!!!! The bathroom had some mold in The corners of the floor which was nasty. Renovations are underway at this hotel, which made access to the rooms a bit awkward and unattractive. The lobby looks elegant, but corridors still need updating. There were ceiling tiles missing, buckets of adhesive or paint left in corridors along with other construction materials. Access to upper floors was by stairs only at this time. The corridors smelled of cigarette smoke, and our room also had a cigarette odor. The room was nicely updated, and the beds were very comfortable. The br... Read more

The physical location of the hotel is very odd and almost down in a hole becuase of the roadway construction that seems to have swallowed it....very strange. Ramada is a very friendly and clean hotel. We enjoyed every minute that we were there. The front desk was very helpful while looking for places to go ( grocery and liquor store). This hotel is affordable and off the main drag but the signs to get to it were noticeable so you didn't miss your turn.

This hotel is under renovation but the bank of rooms on the right side have a very strong smell of smoke in the hall and room itself. This is after being told we were in a non-smoking room. The room numbers on the door were pieces of paper. The pool was nice and the bar was ok with reasonable prices.

The woman at the desk was excellent. She was very helpful and truly accommodating. Everything was very comfortable. They are renovating so you need to be tolerant of the process. Other reviews stated that the wifi was very bad and they were right, in fact it was nonexistent. Could not get it to sign in and when it did it would never truly connect so you could actually use it. There are a lot of places to eat in the area and a mall near by. Actually was a very good stay. I would stay there again.

We came here for a softball tournament so we are accustomed to hotels that are modest. This hotel is old and dirty and smelly. Beds not great and pillows lumpy. Could never get the free wireless internet to work. Some bright spots: has a bar/pub and the female bartender really hustled and took care of us along with a large crowd and a nice sense of humor. I had to walk down to the lobby to ask for fresh towels and washcloths. Breakfast was a joke. You are better off going to the local McDonalds and purchase your breakfast there. I am not sure if other teams booked rooms there and how busy the hotel was but it was apparent that it was busy. Say away like this hotel has the plague. Would give it a negative rating if I could. The hotel smells musty and was dated and dirty. I couldn't wait to get home to scrub the Ramada off me. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The lobby smells like rancid cooking oil, and the smell pervades the facility. The furnishings are run-down (chairs so battered and stained no one would even buy them at a garage sale!), the pillows are half-sized, and the caulk around the toilet was brown and peeling. If a non smoking room is requested, its for a good reason! I had booked a non smoking because my son is asthmatic. Well they did give me the non smoking room BUT on the 2nd fl next to the smoking rooms! Everything in the room smelled like pure cigarettes. I had complained to the front desk but because they were completely booked, they were unable to switch my room. They had promised to spray our room to eliminate the smell but no one ever should up.

The room was clearly not cleaned. The bed smelled of someone else's sweat. The towels in the bathroom did as well. Luckily they had some new towels in the rooms. I could tell because the factory inspection stickers were still on them. The bed also had some unknown stains on them. I had to sleep in the chair because that was the only place that I thought might be clean. I would have rather slept in my car and nearly did.

Stayed one night during a long road trip. Rooms were very large, bed was comfy, and everything was very clean. Hotel was very quiet and easy access to many restaurants and shops (mall across the street). Breakfast had the standard cereal, fruit, breads, coffee/juice, waffles, and hot options of home fries and scrambled eggs. One note: There are many signs, but the hotel is tucked away off the main road and can be tricky to find without a GPS or watching for all the signs.

While all of the employees we encountered were polite and helpful, the property wasn't in good shape. The small bar doubled as the restaurant, and was horrible. The carpet in the hallways was so stained, my two-year-old granddaughter asked about it. Although the carpet in our rooms appeared clean, my crawling grandson had black knees and hands.
