Very nice. I like Hampton Inn although the breakfast food could be a little nicer. The room was very comfortable. It was clean with none of the consumable items missing. Good attention to the details. Thanks for the coffee and newspaper.

I had booked this Hampton some time before our trip. We like to stay at Hampton Inns based on our previous experience with the brand and our satisfied stays. When I got the email to pick our room it would not work and said we had already picked? Arriving at the hotel the front desk clerk advised our handicapped room was ready? I had not booked handicapped and when I asked for upgrades available or other regular rooms was advised there were only two rooms this one and a room with two double b... Read more

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your hotel in Happy Valley. Our room was most comfortable and quiet. We appreciate you working with us to get a room since you were heavily booked. We were traveling for our grandson's high school graduation in Cumberland, MD, and then for my 60th High School Reunion in Danville, PA. We were weary travelers but loved our stay at Happy Valley. Thank you. Darrell and Sue

The Hampton Inn & Suites in State College PA is a favourite for my husband and I. We have been to this property before and they always treat travellers on motorcycles with care, allowing us to park the bikes under the front entry for added protection. A nice touch, indeed. Excellent location near great biking roads.

This hotel is near everything. Penn State, Wegman's a Target, places to eat within walking distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I have stayed in this hotel 3 times and it is consistent in it's value!

The staff at this Hampton Inn and Suites was just wonderful. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast was great. The decor is up to date! And the beds are so plush. The front desk was run by a young woman named Mercedes and she is just wonderful. The manager also came out to greet us when we arrived. I could tell that they were happy working there.

Was in town for one day (June 13-14) for a conference at the Penn Stater (also a hotel), I missed the discount period to stay at the stater (would have been $129 for a single room) but all they had left was rooms for $149 or something. The Hampton Inn was 7 mins away and I paid $89 dollars (with AAA discount) and with taxes it came to like $98 (you know all those room taxes). It's a little off the exit, clean lobby and when I got there the front desk person was fast and nice. Once I told her I ... Read more

Can remember how hard it was to Inn and get around, but not the case here, lots of shopping and eateries nearby, interstate exit to get you to campus, creamery, or stadium in a few minutes. Eve and Mercedes helped us with our needs as did Loraine at Breakfast. Room was nice and spacious, frig & Micro, great amenities. Thanks HHHI!

This hotel is super clean, super comfortable, and convenient to everything. It's out of town a little, but I needed that - wanted a quiet hotel so I could work and sleep (light sleeper). It's a fairly new hotel, comfortable beds and great blankets and pillow and just smells good and fresh...not like Lysol. Made a huge difference in my trip to SC. ...just nice to stay somewhere newer, clean, and quiet. The workout room is small (only 1 treadmill) but in a good area for running outside - get ... Front desk needs to understand how to treat their guests. After long travel, you certainly want a welcoming feeling. Unfortunately I did not. If I wasn't so tired, I would have been happy to visit the competition

Stayed recently for a short visit to State College. Easy access to interstate, relatively close to shopping and restaurants. About a 10 minute drive to downtown. Pretty standard "Hampton Inn" fare (nothing that stood out - nothing to complain about). Would certainly recommend for basic travel needs.

very good location near highway, restaurants & short distance to PSU campus. Good pool and amenities but nothing really fancy or high end. Complimentary breakfast area was clean and nice atmosphere. Good value (though price point could be a bit lower) for families. Queen beds were not Q sized, more like 2 fulls and rooms were a bit on the small sized but adequate for 1-2 night stays.

One of the nicest Hampton Inns I have ever stayed in. The experience was wonderful. Staff was great. Free breakfast was great. Room was super clean. I would highly recommend this Hampton Inn to anyone.

We are used to staying at other hotel chains in the area & unfortunately weren't available at our time of booking. We were so disappointed to discover this hotel did not provide mini refrigerators for the added comfort & enjoyment of their customers. Actually, I can't remember the last time we stayed in a hotel that didn't offer this common amenity. The free breakfast was very average & left a lot to be desired. Just surprised a Hilton chain would offer the bare minimum at a fairly hefty price. ... Read more

All was well until I found out that the bed for a double was only available to us in a regular double size. The room was well-appointed, quiet and comfortable, but the analog HVAC system did not allow facile temperature adjustment during the middle of the night. Hence, the quality of our sleep was not great.
