Great location, right off the Pennsylvania turnpike in a quaint little historic town. The room was clean, breakfast included, the employees friendly and we had a good nights sleep. If you don't care about hotel type breakfasts there are lots of little restaurants there too. Good price and good for families. Will stay here again!

New hotel. Nice rooms with fridge and microwave. Great variety on breakfast buffet. Provided 10% coupon to local family restaurant, which was excellent! Friendly, efficient staff. Comfortable beds. We would certainly stay here again.

We were visiting the FLight 93 Memorial and stayed just one night at this hotel. It was excellent. Don was at the desk, and he was so nice, and helpful. Even got a coupon to a local restaurant for dinner. Hotel itself is very clean, super comfortable rooms, and overall, A+. They have excellent buffet breakfast, which is one reason we like the Express chain. Sadly, this one had a great variety and plenty of choices, but it wasn't very good. Sausage was too spicy, eggs were folded over wi... Read more

This hotel is right off the Somerset exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. you would expect it to be noisy but it is very quiet, no highway noise. The staff is very friendly. When you check in you will find this little card with your keycard with the information you need, wifi code, pool hours, breakfast hours, etc.

The hotel appears to be newly renovated, and it is very nice. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the people in the room across the hall were yelling very loudly at 2:30 am. But other than that we had a great stay.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Somerset instead of Seven Springs when our kids participated in the Kids Mud on the Mountain. The room was large and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and the pool area had lots of seating. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent one overnight in this hotel, planning to visit the 9/11 Memorial the next morning. We have stayed in five Holiday Inns in the last couple of months, and this one was THE BEST. It is not too old, and the furniture, both in the foyer, dining area and rooms was very nice. Leather (look?) chairs and couches, marble top tables. Breakfast was good with a friendly lady in charge. The young ladies on the front desk (Hayley and Maggie) were just great. Our room was not quite ready, so Hay... Read more

On our way to Detroit we needed to make a stop and Somerset, PA is a charming town with plenty of hotel and dining options. We we're looking for convenience and a reasonable price and the Holiday Inn Express had both. Staff was pleasant and breakfast was served. Clean, up to date, with amenities made for a very comfortable stay.

Ok for a nights stay if traveling through the area, wouldn't want to stay there multiple nights. Almost too close to the turnpike, makes getting in and out a little difficult. The mattress was on the soft side, as we're the pillows. Woke up a little bit stiff and sore from it. Walls were a little thin as well, could easily hear the kids in the adjacent room. Luckily they quieted Dien before too late. Breakfast was ok, nothing too exciting, but was the usual continental breakfast. Everythi... Read more

We stayed here overnight after a wedding. It was a nice, updated and clean hotel. Our room was great and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We asked for an early check in and late check out and they made no fuss about accommodating. And THANK YOU for no down pillows! My husband is highly allergic. I would definitely recommend!

Somerset is close to Pittsburg and Johnstown but does not have the high nightly rate to stay. We stayed here when we toured the Johnstown Flood Museum. Same breakfast as most HIE. Attendant kept the area clean and filled. Rooms are getting a little old but the place is clean.

We travel a lot, and stay at "reasonably priced" motels on the road. Unfortunately many do NOT have what they say they have as "available". My wife has a wheelchair, and a handicapped room is needed. Many of the motels we have found when we arrive tell us that the room is not available, or the room was not made up, or the room has a bathtub that has been reto-fitted, and is not wheelchair accessable. This motel had it alL AS ADVERTISED! The room was clean, the handicapped parts were all in plac... Read more

Would not hesitate to stay again. My only issue is no exhaust fan in bathroom so you have to wait a while to use the mirror after a shower. Also shower is nice but not made for tall people as the shower head is only at maybe 5 1/2 ft. Otherwise a great stay.

We could see the Turnpike entrance from our room but I did not hear any noise from outside in our room. The room was comfortable, the beds were nice, and the breakfast was good. This was the first hotel where I saw a tip jar at the breakfast buffet. The ladies did a great job in keeping everything stocked. I would stay here again if in the area.

We had major problems checking into the hotel. We've been traveling for almost 2 weeks using the same credit card. Wouldn't accept the credit card here. Used it at other Holiday Inn Expresses on this trip with no problem!!! I WILL NEVER STAY AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS AGAIN!

After driving all day on our way to Virginia, we randomly stopped in Somerset. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were only 20 minutes from the Flight 93 Memorial, so we added that to our trip. Glad we did. The Holiday Inn was spotless; the beds were extremely comfortable; and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My kids attend cap just north of Somerset each summer. This is my ninth summer staying in Somerset and I have stayed in just about every hotel. The Holiday Inn Express is newer, quite nice hotel. Great clean room, fine breakfast - nothing to really complain about other than the single elevator. Nice stay

We were driving home from NYC and due to traffic decided to stop for the night. We did not have reservations but luckily could get a room. Not the exact room we wanted (they only had a king with a sleeper sofa) but still a very nice room. The girl who checked us in was very friendly and told us multiple times to let her know if we needed anything. She also recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. Room we stayed in was 2 Queens. Bathroom was clean!!! Room was quiet. Breakfast was good, met the HI Express standards! Get there early for breakfast as it is a travelers hotel and everyone is trying to get on the road in the morning so the tables fill up :-). Right on the turnpike, a little crazy getting into the parking lot as you circle around the back (sort of). Google maps had a hard time getting me in the lot so I just looked up a... Read more

We were here for one night. This was a very clean hotel. The only thing I didn't like was there was a crack under the door where you could hear people walking down the hall. The breakfast was really good. They had eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, pancakes and all the normal cool foods.

We travel and stay at lots of hotels. I can honestly say this was such a pleasant experience. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with kindness by the hotel attendant. We stayed on August 13, 2016 for one night and were put into room 119. The hotel attendant even thanked us for being apart of the members program. The room was clean and the beds were super comfy. Check-In...Desk Rep(Michelle?)decided to take a phone call & book their reservation before taking care of me, so I basically just stood there while she finished that call. After that was over, she had me walk to my car & get AAA card for my reservation. It might be easier to allow guests the opportunity to input that info during the booking of their reservation. The check-in finished with absolutely no info about any amenities at the hotel. It was a pretty disappointing experience. The room ... Read more

I found out during my trek across Pennsylvania that my tires on my rental car were bald. We had to pull off the road, the tires were that bad. A replacement car would not be delivered for hours, and we would miss our appointment. We needed a clean, warm place out of the rain for the night. From the McDonald's parking lot, we were able to creep across the road to the Holiday Inn Express (best sign I'd seen all day). The manager on duty (May 21, 2016) was excellent. This hotel is just off the Turnpike, and I mean, just off. You pay your toll and take a right, literally. We had a regular room with a King bed. The room was very large. It was clean and quiet, in spite of its close proximity to the Turnpike. The A/C was controlled by a thermostat on the wall and cooled the room very well. The bathroom was spacious and had a tub and shower. There was a curved shower rod which prevented the shower curtain from assaulting the bather; someone give the person who in... Read more

Great place to stop while travelling across Pennsylvania. It literally is right off the turnpike. Was concerned about the truck noise at night, but we never heard any of it. Good place if you are going to Flight 93 Memorial, as this is really out a ways from any sizeable city. Front desk staff were very helpful.

It is located just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike which prompts a special suggestion. Road noise can be heard all night, so be sure to request a room with a higher number. The hotel is very clean, beds and linens nice. The breakfast was the usual fare, but those warm cinnamon rolls are especially appealing! The hotel is a little tricky to get to. It seems as if the area has grown past the original street planning. Plenty of gas stations and restaurants nearby.

We stayed at this property during a company-sponsored team building exercise, and while I normally stay at another major hotel chain this hotel was on our "approved list" and proved to far exceed my expectations.
