Hamplton Inn provided what you are looking for: a nice room, tastey and filling breakfast, and helpful staff. This Hampton Inn is conveniently located close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. There are gas stations and retaurants nearby. Somerset is an attractive rural town, set in rolling hills of south-western Pennsylvania.

I was in 427, facing Turnpike, which was loud. Next time I'd pick even # rooms (faces truck stop/sleeping area). Exterior of hotel is being refaced. Inside looks recently redone. Older room layout, with new furnishings, etc. Looked OK, but not spectacular - I've seen better Hampton Inns. Breakfast area recently remodeled, nice, spacious. Fitness room dark, dingy, with wall paper pulled off a wall. I'm guessing it's being renovated soon. It had a couple treadmills, stair climber, and a universal ... Read more

I hope that when the renovations are done everything goes back to what I have come to expect from Hampton Inn. The internet connection was simply dreadful. I had to go to the McDonald's in order to send/receive e-mails. No better at the "business center". This IS a big deal when traveling on business. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot. Breakfast was what you expect from Hampton Inn. I will give this place another chance one the construction is done.

The rooms are very well done. The furnishings are very nice. The room is spacious. The bathroom is large and well laid out. The shower stall is the size of a bathtub. I found the mattress and pillows to be comfortable for my liking. However, the highway noise is constant and at times could be very loud. Fortunately, we were here only overnight.

This facility is being remodeled. Signs stating that no construction until 8am--heard noise, which I believe was construction earlier than 8am. Also, overheard conversation on problems with lack of parking due to the construction. I would still recommend this facility. Clean rooms/popcorn in the evening/cookies/pretzel mix. A smokers paradise at the front entrance to the hotel. Hotel guests use the front lobby area to smoke meaning as you enter and exit this hotel you'll be exposed to second hand smoke. A shelter should be built at least 100 feet away from the hotel to accommodate smokers keeping them far away from others.
