This is not your typical chain hotel, because it's a conference center, but it was priced very reasonably. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the furnishings were somewhat old and worn. The breakfast was unlike anything you get for free at chain hotels. It included lots of fresh fruit, cut and whole, and several hot breakfast items that I haven't seen elsewhere, like blintzes. Also, you sit at large tables in a large room with picture windows looking out on a green and tree-filled a... Read more

I usually love the VU Conference Center and have stayed there in the past with much better experiences. The price is right and the rooms are nicely done, if slightly tired, and it's quiet. Unfortunately during my last stay (during an unusually warm couple of days in April) the AC was not working due to renovations (or so the front desk said), and I was not informed until I called to ask how to operate the cooling system. Although the person at the front desk apologized for the inconvenience whe... Read more

Nice large room. New bathroom. Clean. Breakfast included. Great location on campus. Price was low. No hesitation to stay again. If you are visiting the Villanova campus, this is the easiest place to stay.

We have stayed here quite a few times in the past. This place is in a beautiful and quiet location. Unfortunately, it was incredibly warm the other night. Our room was 78 degrees and we couldn't adjust the temperature. The free breakfast is always nice and the staff is always very pleasant.

The staff was great, very accommodating and positive. The main areas were a little dated and not the quality of expectation I expected when looking at their website. Was not disappointed with the stay just expected a little more for the money. The room was very clean, the bathroom was recently updated. I would stay there again however I may try another local hotel the next time just for comparison.

Stayed at the conference center for three nights. Rooms are quiet, spacious, and clean. Don't expect too many amenities, but this is a well run hotel. One drawback you may want to consider: Other than a complimentary breakfast ( which is always first rate), you will need to travel a few miles for food service.

We stayed at this hotel the night prior to a Villanova visit. The Conference Center is a short mile away from Villanova main campus. The buildings look great from the outside but the interior looks outdated. I believe the hotel will be renovated this fall. Staff was corteous and efficient. Breakfast was good. In general, this was good place to stay for a very reasonable price.

wifi only works with PCs. We had two PCs, two iPhones, two iPads. The PCs connect no problem. When we inquired about the phones or iPads, we were told it is a known problem that apple products do not connect. Then the story changed to there was too many people on the network (then why does it only affect apple products?). Wifi is a must have at a hotel these days and not everyone is going to bring a PC along.

I recently attended a conference at the Center and decided to stay there for the convenience of location despite the cost being higher than many of the chains (Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc.) that dot the area. I'll start with the positives: it was convenient and the food was GREAT, probably the best food I've ever had at a conference. But that's where the positives end. The rooms and all the facilities need a facelift. Everything (interior and exterior) looked very well worn and slightly uncared... Read more

I'll start by revealing that my expectations for this hotel were based on the photo they have representing the property and the higher reviews. The hotel itself DOES NOT look like the photo itself. It looks more like a two story, straight line motel. It's an older location and not as conveniently located to the University as expected. No pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is decent, but service in the restaurant is spotty - on Saturday very well on Sunday servers w... Read more

The conference center is conveniently located about 5-10 minutes from Villanova University by car. The Manor House part of the conference center is old-style with beautiful carved wood paneling, fire places, and oriental carpeting. Unfortunately, this style is not replicated in the rest of the conference center which does not seem to have been upgraded much over the last 15 years. The rooms have 2 queen-size beds and the bathrooms are good-size. Facilities were clean. The gardens are over grown ... Read more

The rooms are outdated, but they are due for renovations. Grounds are nice. They could use more groundkeeping. Breakfast was basic and I have better ones at Hampton Inns. Bed was cozy and the staff was very nice.

Great spot for visiting local colleges, if you don't want to stay in Philadelphia. To be fair--there are signs posted all over hotel describing the upcoming (and very much needed!) renovations. So I won't waste any time talking about how old and tired the hotel is. However, I appreciated how spotlessly clean our room and bathroom were. The free wifi was good enough to stream Netflix. The free breakfast buffet was also good, and the staff serving it could not have been nicer. Decently priced (a... Read more

The exterior of the building and location are amazing. I was disappointed with the rooms. They really need an update: Walls Furniture Bathroom fixtures Pretty sure that the vent in my room was moldy or at least quite dusty. The breakfast buffet was included and quite good. I called twice to confirm late arrival for my party of three. I was disappointed that the room wasn't already supplied with the necessary towels and bed linens for the pullout sofa bed. That would have been an extra to... Read more

Perfect location for visiting Villanova Campus. Room/carpet/wallpaper/furnishings tired and outdated but all rooms will soon be gutted and updated. Decent breakfast in morning. Pretty grounds. Never got to see the historic mansion they show in the pictures. I would stay again if the price was right.

This is the kind of place you would stay at if you had something you needed to do in the area. The rooms are fine, although they could stand some updating and brighter lighting. The bed is comfortable as are the pillows. The bathroom vanity is too tall for the average female height, and the shower head is awful! The breakfast is adequate, but you will definitely need to eat something by lunchtime. The grounds are very nice.

We stayed for a friend's wedding which was at the Mansion. So convenient! Beautiful location and very clean. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious, hot breakfast the next morning. I know the hotel is closing for a year for renovations. We will be sure to visit when it reopens.

A clean, pleasant room in a well run conference center. The large grounds are lovely, the main conference center is very pleasant, and the connected Montrose Mansion adds a classic area for meeting and dining.
